The budgeting app we'd hand to a friend who's never budgeted — clear, calm, and easy to stick with.
Most budgeting apps assume you already know the lingo. Ledgerly doesn't: its onboarding walks you through assigning every dollar a job without ever saying 'zero-based budgeting' out loud. Bank syncing was quick and stayed connected through our testing period.
It's subscription-only and the investing features are thin, so dedicated portfolio trackers should look elsewhere. But for the core job — knowing where your money goes and planning the month ahead — it's the most beginner-friendly option we've tried.
