Dundalk LeisureCraft Georgian Cabin Sauna Review

The Georgian Cabin (model CTC88W) is an outdoor cabin sauna from Dundalk LeisureCraft's Canadian Timber collection, made of Eastern White Cedar sourced in Canada. Sauna Kit Company sells it as a kit for two to six people, with a door of 5 mm bronze tempered glass, two-tier benches across the back, a flat floor and a metal shingle roof.

The retailer gives the outside as about 8 ft wide, 7.2 ft deep and 8 ft high, and the inside as roughly 7 × 7 × 7 ft. Haven of Heat, another Dundalk dealer, lists more precise figures: 95 × 86.75 × 100.5 inches outside, 84 × 84 × 86.25 inches inside and about 343 cubic feet, with 1.5-inch walls, two front windows, an L-shaped lower bench that can go on either side, and a crated weight of about 1,776 lb.

You choose between a Harvia electric heater and a Karhu wood-burning stove. Haven of Heat recommends an 8 kW heater for this size, notes that electric heaters need a dedicated 240 V circuit, and gives a heat-up time of 30–45 minutes to around 170–190 °F with electric heat. Sauna Kit Company's page doesn't break down what each heater option adds to the price, so check it in the cart.

Sauna Kit Company lists the Georgian at $7,616 with free shipping; Universe of Comfort lists the same model from $7,885.50. It is built to order: Sauna Kit Company's page mentions 5–6 weeks of production and a 7–20 day delivery window, while Haven of Heat quotes about 7–8 weeks, so ask for a date before planning the installation. The kit travels by LTL freight on a pallet for curbside delivery; drivers don't move it onto your property, and Haven of Heat says a forklift or three to four people are needed to handle the crate. Sauna Kit Company ships to the contiguous US only.

Haven of Heat puts assembly at one to two full days for two people and lists suitable foundations: a concrete pad, a paver base, a gravel pad or a reinforced deck. According to Sauna Kit Company, the kit comes with pre-cut panels, an assembly guide and videos.

Sources disagree on the warranty: Sauna Kit Company lists five years against defects in workmanship or materials, while Haven of Heat describes a three-year manufacturer warranty covering parts. Sauna Kit Company accepts returns within 30 days, and refusing a delivery can cost a 20% restocking fee. Confirm both terms in writing before you order.

The main alternative is an indoor infrared cabin, such as Finnmark's two-person FD-2 ($5,995 at Universe of Comfort), which plugs into a standard 120 V outlet and needs no foundation, but tops out at 170 °F and has no stove.

Budget beyond the kit price: Haven of Heat estimates $500 to more than $2,000 for the heater and $200–$800 for the 240 V electrical work, before the foundation. The rustic cedar look and the upkeep of an outdoor wooden building won't suit everyone; Haven of Heat, which sells the Georgian, calls it one of the most well-rounded outdoor traditional saunas in its price range.
