Binary EP321 MEMS Tribrid IEMs Review
A tribrid in-ear monitor listing a 10mm dynamic driver, a 6mm passive diaphragm, three balanced armature drivers and one MEMS driver, at $304.99 in a 3.5mm or 4.4mm option. It suits buyers who want a MEMS tweeter and stated 13Ω@1kHz and 122dB/Vrms figures.

Our verdict
A match for buyers who want a MEMS tweeter next to dynamic and balanced armature drivers and a choice between 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs. Look elsewhere if you want a driver description with no note about other possible driver types: the page carries one. First-of-its-kind, Hi-Res and tuning claims are the page's words, and every figure is the store's own.
- Best for
- Buyers who want a MEMS-plus-hybrid IEM and a choice of 3.5mm or 4.4mm plug at one price.
- Skip if
- You want a weight per side or a THD+N test frequency, since the page text gives neither.
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by the list of specification figures in the page text; held back by store terms that conflict with one another and because no independent test was checked for this review: every figure is the store's own.
Binary's EP321 lists six drivers per side: a 10mm dynamic driver, a 6mm passive diaphragm, three balanced armature drivers and one direct drive MEMS driver, in a three-way crossover. It costs $304.99. The specification section gives 13Ω@1kHz, 122dB/Vrms, 8Hz~40kHz and 7.5 grams, and the cable connects through 0.78mm 2-pin connectors.

Options and pricing
Two options share one price: EP321 MEMS 3.5mm and EP321 MEMS 4.4mm, each at $304.99 with a crossed-out price of $309.99 on the page, and both were orderable when read. Each option names one plug, matching the page's 3.5mm/4.4mm termination plug line. The cable is a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin type, and the page text gives no color choice and no statement on whether the plug itself can be changed.
How it compares
The Softears VolumeS 2DD +2BA Hybrid Drivers IEMs cost $309 and list a 1 DD+1 Passive DD+2 BA driver architecture, while the JUZEAR UNVEIL Series Harrier at $324.99 lists 1DD+6BA+2 micro planar drivers; the EP321 is $304.99. The SIVGA Nightingale Pro at $296 uses one 14.5mm planar driver. The EP321 suits buyers who want a MEMS tweeter and a 3.5mm or 4.4mm choice; the VolumeS suits those who prefer its 1 DD+1 Passive DD+2 BA layout, and the Harrier those who want micro planar drivers in a hybrid.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- A direct drive MEMS unit alongside dynamic and balanced armature drivers, with a three-way crossover, per the page
- The spec section gives impedance with a test frequency (13Ω@1kHz), sensitivity (122dB/Vrms), frequency range and weight (7.5 grams)
- A choice of 3.5mm or 4.4mm plug through two options at one price
- Detachable cable on 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, per the page
- The page says the MEMS unit needs no extra PA chip, quoting at least 100dB SPL at a 1Vrms drive voltage
Worth noting
- A 'Friendly Note' lists possible electrostatic, ceramic piezoelectric or bone conduction drivers and a normal hum or hiss; the page text does not say which applies
- The weight of 7.5 grams has no per-side or per-pair statement in the page text
- The page text gives no test frequency for THD+N, which is listed as under 1%

What we couldn’t verify
- A 'Friendly Note' says the product may include electrostatic, ceramic piezoelectric or bone conduction drivers and that a gentle hum or hiss is normal; the page text does not say which of these apply to the EP321.
- The page calls the EP321 the first IEM with direct drive MEMS technology, says its MEMS unit may be the smallest in the industry and says it meets Hi-Res certification standards, with no source or certificate in the page text.
- The page text gives no name for the third party behind its curve note, no test frequency for THD+N, and no per-side or per-pair label for the 7.5 grams.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
