How to choose Audio Switchers & Selectors
All 14 selectors and switchers reviewed here come from one store, Douk Audio's store at doukaudio.com: ten Douk Audio, two Little Bear and two Nobsound products, priced from $59.99 to $229.99 as priced on October 23, 2026. First decide what you are switching. Five handle speakers or amplifiers (the SP102, VU102, VU3, VU3PRO and VU3-PLUS), eight switch or split line-level sources over RCA, XLR or 3.5mm, and one, the NS-05P PRO, converts between RCA and XLR. XLR is the three-pin balanced connector; RCA is the unbalanced pair of plugs. Ten of the 14 add a VU meter or spectrum display, a needle or bar readout of signal level, so the routing (2-in-1-out, 1-in-4-out and so on) and the connector type matter more than the display.
For a speaker or amplifier selector the number to read is the through-power rating: 200W per channel on the SP102 and VU102, 300W on the VU3, up to 350W on the VU3PRO, and on the VU3-PLUS 200W at 2 ohms, 500W at 4, 700W at 6 and 1000W at 8. The VU3 and VU3PRO listings say not to connect an amplifier whose real output exceeds 300W or 350W. Running two amplifiers differs by model: the VU102 says only one amplifier may run at a time in 2-IN-1-OUT mode and two active amps can damage the units, the SP102 cannot run two groups in parallel, the VU3PRO lets both speaker groups play at once, and the VU3-PLUS wires both speaker pairs in parallel when both are on, so the amplifier must support the combined load.
Power and ground noise come next. Three listings (SP102, MC3, MC103 PRO) are passive and need no power supply; six need their own 5V supply or USB power (VU102, VU3, VU2, VU2-PRO, VU3-PLUS and the NS-05P PRO converter), and the VU102 page says no adapter is included. Four listings (L3, MC3, MC103 PRO and VU2) say compatibility with every device is not assured and that common ground noise may call for an isolation module. Douk Audio's store applies the same terms to every listing: shipping in 2-8 business days with duties, taxes and customs included in the checkout price unless noted; returns requested within 30 days of delivery and approved by Douk first, shipped back within 7 days of approval, with original shipping fees and duties not refunded; and a 24-month warranty for manufacturing defects, although an older policy page still says 1 year. The reviews do not say who pays the return shipping.
Check the details that vary. The VU2-PRO ($199.99) and VU3-PLUS ($229.99) are pre-sale listings, so expect a wait before dispatch. The remotes on the VFD253, VU102 and VU3 may come without batteries, and the two Little Bear listings include no audio cables. The VFD253-PRO and VU2-PRO are switchers, not mixers, with no volume control per channel; the VFD253 works on 3.5mm only, the VFD253-PRO and VU2 on RCA only, and the MC103 PRO on XLR only. The VU3PRO's meters do not work normally unless speakers are connected to its outputs.

Questions before you buy
Do I need a speaker selector or a line-level switcher?
It depends where in the chain you want to switch. A speaker or amplifier selector (SP102, VU102, VU3, VU3PRO, VU3-PLUS) sits on the amplifier's output and carries speaker power, so its watt rating matters. A line-level switcher (L3, VFD253, VFD253-PRO, VU2, VU2-PRO, VU1-W, MC3, MC103 PRO) sits between sources and an amplifier and carries a small signal over RCA, XLR or 3.5mm.
How many watts can a speaker selector handle?
The listings give 200W per channel (SP102, VU102), 300W per channel (VU3) and up to 350W (VU3PRO). The VU3-PLUS lists 200W at 2 ohms, 500W at 4 ohms, 700W at 6 ohms and 1000W at 8 ohms. The VU3 and VU3PRO pages say not to connect an amplifier whose actual output exceeds the rating, so compare your amplifier's real output, not the number on its box.
Can I run two amplifiers into a selector at once?
Not on most. The VU102 says only one amplifier may run at a time in 2-IN-1-OUT mode and that two active amps can damage the units. The SP102 can have only one input or output group active at a time. The VU3PRO lets both speaker groups output at once, and the VU3-PLUS wires two speaker pairs in parallel when both are on, so your amplifier must support the combined load.
Do these switchers need a power supply?
Three are passive and need none: the SP102, MC3 and MC103 PRO. Six need 5V power or USB: the VU102, VU3, VU2, VU2-PRO, VU3-PLUS and the NS-05P PRO converter, which needs DC 5V at 1A or more. The VU102 page says no 5V adapter is included, and the NS-05P PRO page does not state that one is.
Can one of these convert XLR to RCA?
Two can. The NS-05P PRO ($59.99) converts RCA to XLR and XLR to RCA, both at once, with up to +5dB of gain in XLR-to-RCA mode and 0dB the other way; RCA-to-RCA or XLR-to-XLR hookups produce no signal. The passive Little Bear MC3 ($59.99) converts XLR balanced to RCA unbalanced or RCA to XLR across three inputs and three outputs, with no volume control.
What are the store's return and warranty terms?
Douk Audio's store allows a return request within 30 days of delivery. Douk must approve it first, the item goes back within 7 days of approval, and original shipping fees and duties aren't refunded. The warranty is 24 months from purchase for manufacturing defects, with free repair or replacement, although an older policy page still says 1 year.
