Our verdict

The page pitches it at overlanding, trucking and outdoor trips, and it fits a buyer who wants two doors, two separately set compartments and a documented solar input. Look elsewhere if you need a battery model with a stated capacity or a documented range of AC voltages. The main caveat is that the outside write-up covers a 48-quart model rather than this 59QT page, and the battery and solar notes are not tied to one variant.

Why 3.7/5: Lifted by a detailed specification block with per-zone sizes and solar input limits, and by an outside write-up with own-use observations, though it covers a 48-quart model. Held back by an unexplained battery variant, claims that are the store's own and store-level concerns about the seller.

The dual-door TAW55 is listed at 59 Quarts from $449.99. The Digital Story (2025) reviewed a 48-quart dual-door Bodega whose link points to this page; the article gives no model code and does not say who supplied the unit. It lists about 35 watts in ECO and 45 watts in MAX while the condenser runs (general figures). Its own-use observations, made without instruments: ice cubes in about 5 hours at -4F (elsewhere it says allow eight hours in MAX), drinks at 32F in ECO overnight, about 30 percent of a 600-watt Jackery every 12 hours with both sides at 32F in mild weather. Cons: large, Wi-Fi has to be set up before Bluetooth works, the built-in LCD is less convenient than the app. Verdict: 'Highly recommended'.

The specification block says no battery is included and lists the insulated cover as optional and not included. The page gives no battery capacity and does not say why the battery variant is labeled 55QT rather than 59QT.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Shipping: the shipping page offers free standard shipping around mainland US from US warehouses (the FAQ names California, Texas and Pennsylvania), with 1 business day of processing, a tracking email once the order ships, and no delivery to PO, APO or FPO addresses; the address cannot be changed after shipment. Some products can go to Canada, Germany and Italy for an extra $35 (8 to 15 business days) or to the UK for an extra $60, while the FAQ says every product ships to the continental US, only part of the range to Canada and only the detachable battery to Europe. Returns: an order can be cancelled within 24 hours by email or phone; after it ships a double shipping fee comes off the refund and a 2% transaction fee may apply. A return within 30 days needs an email to [email protected] for a return authorization first, an unused, uninstalled product in its original packaging, and shipping back within 7 days of the refund confirmation to the Rancho Cucamonga, California address; the buyer pays the shipping, while for a defective or damaged item the store says it refunds the shipping fee after photos or video. Orders bought from Amazon, Walmart or other resellers are not covered. Exchanges within 30 days carry a restocking fee and shipping that vary by brand. The page gives the refund time as 3 to 7 business days in one place and up to 7 in another, and the FAQ says 1 to 3. Warranty: the warranty page promises 2 years on products bought directly from bodegacooler.com, with the exact period on the last page of the manual, and also says a 1-year warranty extends to 2 years by registering the product (the FAQ says register within 10 days of purchase); it covers defects in materials and workmanship, not misuse, accidents or unauthorized repair, and not products from third-party sellers. Some product pages state other terms, such as a 5-year compressor warranty with 1 year on the rest, 24 months on the compressor and accessories, or a 5-year product warranty. Payment: Klarna, American Express, Discover, JCB, Mastercard, PayPal and Visa, plus regional methods such as Boleto, THAI QR PromptPay, Rabbit LINE Pay and ShopeePay, according to the FAQ.

Before you buy

The page shows 20 customer reviews with 85% of them five-star in the store's own widget, which we could not verify. Reputation: on Trustpilot (read on the Australian site) bodegacooler.com is a claimed profile with a TrustScore of 2.6 from 16 reviews, 25% five-star and 69% one-star; the company rarely replies, and the newest reviews (August and September 2026) describe a 100-quart unit with about 60 quarts usable, a replacement that froze the fridge side, and unanswered support. A June 2026 review of a 3-door Bodega cooler sold on Amazon (The Inventory, which names no model code and may not cover this item) cites a 2.5/5 TrustScore and reports of damaged units and slow support. A web search found no BBB profile. The bodegacooler.com domain was registered on 27 May 2019. The store's FAQ says only one promotion code can be used per order and offers new customers 12% off fridges for subscribing to its newsletter, and some pages advertise their own sales and codes. The page shows a crossed-out regular price; that is the store's own comparison figure.

What we liked

  • The specification block gives dimensions for the whole box and for each zone, plus net weight and chamber height
  • App control for Android and iOS with a separate temperature for each compartment is listed
  • A SOLAR terminal is described with a maximum input of 50V and 10A, and a 100W panel is suggested
  • Removable doors, wheels, an extendable handle, a detachable cutting board and a cup holder are listed
  • The package list names 2 removable baskets, a chopping board, DC and AC cords and a user manual
  • Three variants cover a base unit, a battery model and a cover bundle, each with a price

Worth noting

  • The base unit lists no battery, and the 55QT+Battery variant gives no battery capacity or run time
  • The Voltage row lists 240 Volts (AC) only, with no lower AC voltage and no rated current
  • The only power figure is an about 40-45W working power in the solar note; no rated wattage is listed
  • The solar and battery notes are not tied to a variant, so it is unclear which model has the SOLAR terminal

Questions before you buy

Can the TAW55 run on solar power?

The page describes a SOLAR terminal on the refrigerator with a maximum solar input of 50V and 10A, and recommends a 100W solar panel; the solar charge cable is not included. It says the charging input power should be higher than the fridge's working power (about 40-45W), or the fridge should be put in standby, otherwise the battery will not charge.

How big are the two compartments?

The page lists a left zone of 12.1 x 10.6 x 18.6 inches and a right zone of 12.1 x 7.8 x 11.7 inches (D x W x H), inside an overall 18.1 x 28 x 22.5 inches. The app can set a separate temperature for each compartment from -4F to 68F.

What power inputs does the TAW55 list?

The Voltage row lists 12/24V (DC) and 240 Volts (AC), and the package includes a DC power cord and an AC power cord. The page gives no rated current; the only wattage is an about 40-45W working power in the solar note, and its copy quotes 45dB for noise.

Where does Bodega Cooler ship and how fast?

Free standard shipping covers mainland US from warehouses in the US, with 1 business day of processing; no PO, APO or FPO addresses. Some products can go to Canada, Germany, Italy (+$35, 8 to 15 business days) and the UK (+$60), but the FAQ lists fewer destinations, so check the product before ordering abroad.

What is the return window?

30 days from purchase for an unused, uninstalled product in its original packaging, after an email to [email protected] for a return authorization. The buyer pays the shipping unless the item is defective or damaged; cancellation is free within 24 hours of ordering. Orders from Amazon or other resellers are not covered.

How long is the warranty?

The warranty page says 2 years for purchases from bodegacooler.com, or 1 year extended to 2 by registering the product within 10 days of purchase (per the FAQ); the manual names the exact period. Some product pages state other terms, so keep the order number and ask support before relying on one figure.

What we couldn’t verify

  • The battery variant is labeled 55QT while the specification lists 59 Quarts and 'Batteries Included? No'; the page gives no battery capacity or run time.
  • The solar-charging note is not tied to a variant, so it is unclear whether the base 59QT has the SOLAR terminal or only the battery model.
  • The 45dB noise level, the quick cooling to 32F and the drink counts (82 cans, 43 bottles, 12 bottles) are the store's own claims; the only power figure is an about 40-45W working power.
  • The refund policy gives the refund time as 3 to 7 business days in one place and up to 7 in another, while the FAQ says 1 to 3.
  • The warranty page says 2 years and also 1 year extended to 2 by registering; some product pages state other terms, such as a 5-year compressor warranty with 1 year on the rest, 24 months on the compressor and accessories, or a 5-year product warranty.
  • The outside write-ups we read cover units the makers supplied or sent (or whose source is not stated) and carry affiliate links.
