Our verdict

Meant for buyers who want a planar magnetic IEM at $89.99 with a stated 36Ω, 105dB/mW and 10Hz-40kHz and a 0.78mm 2-pin cable. Look elsewhere if you need to know which plugs each option includes, because the page states them two ways. The main caveat is that every figure, including the Hi-Res claim, is the store's own.

You need a definite answer on whether a 4.4mm plug comes with each option.

Why 3.5/5: The store's own terms contradict each other and no independent test was checked for this review, which together hold the rating back; every figure comes from the store.

Per the page, FiiO's FP3 is built around a self-developed second-generation 14.5mm planar magnetic driver with a 1um diaphragm, and the page lists it at $89.99. The specification section gives 36Ω@1kHz, 105dB/mW and 10Hz-40kHz, and the cable uses 0.78mm 2-pin connectors. Per the page, 14 N52 neodymium magnets sit seven on each side of the driver and each earpiece weighs 6.5 grams.

Options and pricing

The wooden face cover sets the two options apart, FP3 Rosewood-3.5mm and FP3 Black walnut-3.5mm at $89.99 each, both orderable when the page was read. Both names carry 3.5mm. The features list a single 3.5mm plug, yet the cable text says 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs are in the package, so the page does not settle which plugs each option holds.

How it compares

The Fosi Audio IM4 10mm Dual-Cavity Dynamic Driver IEMs are $93.34 and their spec line names a dual-magnetic, dual-cavity dynamic driver, while the Moondrop Rays 1DD+1 Planar Drivers Gaming IEMs are $99.99 and name one dynamic and one planar driver. The FP3 is $89.99 with a 14.5mm planar driver and a stated 36Ω and 105dB/mW. It suits buyers who want a planar IEM at this price; the sibling summaries here do not state their impedance or plugs.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

FiiO's own notice "A letter to FiiO fans" (undated) lists HiFiGo among sellers it has not authorized and recommends buying FiiO products from local agents. FiiO says it still services genuine products bought from such sellers if the buyer emails [email protected], but the buyer pays the freight and duties if a unit must go back to China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Specification section gives a 14.5mm planar driver, 10Hz-40kHz, 36Ω@1kHz and 105dB/mW
  • 1um PET diaphragm with aluminum and titanium coatings and 14 N52 magnets, per the page
  • 0.78mm 2-pin cable with 4 strands and 392 wire cores of silver-plated copper, per the page
  • A stated weight of 6.5 grams per earpiece
  • Rosewood or Black Walnut wooden face covers

Worth noting

  • The features list a 3.5mm plug while the cable text names 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs in the package
  • Both options are named 3.5mm, so the page text does not say which holds the 4.4mm plug
  • Hi-Res Audio Certified is stated with no certificate or level named
  • No ear tips, case or cable length are named in the page text

Questions before you buy

What are the FP3's impedance and sensitivity?

The specification section gives 36Ω@1kHz and 105dB/mW, with a frequency response of 10Hz-40kHz. They are the page's figures.

Which plugs come with it?

The page is inconsistent: the features list a 3.5mm plug and both options are named 3.5mm, while the cable text says the package includes 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs on an interchangeable plug system.

What is the driver made of?

Per the page, a 14.5mm planar magnetic driver with a 1um PET diaphragm coated with aluminum and titanium and 14 N52 neodymium magnets, 7 on each side.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The features list a 3.5mm plug and both options are named 3.5mm, while the cable text says 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs are in the package.
  • Hi-Res Audio Certified has no certificate, body or level named in the page text; the 28nm process and Tesla Valve bass claims are the page's wording with no measurement in the text.
  • Sound claims (big stage, deep bass, extended treble to 40kHz, clarity) are the page's wording; the text gives no graph or distortion figure.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
  • FiiO's undated seller notice lists HiFiGo as an unauthorized seller; FiiO says it still services genuine units, with freight and duties paid by the buyer.
