FiiO JT3 Open-Back Over-Ear Headphones Review
An open-back over-ear headphone with a 50mm dynamic driver and a dual 3.5mm stock cable with an in-line microphone, listed at $69.99 in black or silver. It suits listeners who want a stated 80Ω@1kHz impedance and a weight of about 330 grams.

Our verdict
Suits listeners who want an open-back dynamic headphone with an in-line cable microphone at $69.99. Look elsewhere if you want a balanced cable or a stated source-power recommendation. The page lists 80Ω@1kHz but gives no guidance on amplification.
- Best for
- Listeners who want an open-back dynamic headphone with a cable microphone.
- Skip if
- You need a balanced cable or a stated amplifier recommendation.
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a spec list with impedance, sensitivity, frequency range and weight figures; held back by the store's own terms that contradict each other and by the lack of any independent test checked for this review.
Priced at $69.99 in black or silver, FiiO's JT3 is an over-ear, open-back headphone with a 50mm dynamic driver. The page gives 80Ω@1kHz impedance, 110dB/Vrms sensitivity and a 10Hz-35kHz range, and puts the weight at about 330 grams. The diaphragm is described as a PEK+PU composite, and the stock cable has dual 3.5mm connectors on the headphone side with an in-line microphone.

Options and pricing
The JT3 comes in black or silver at the same $69.99, and both were orderable when read. The page says a stock cable made of 4N oxygen-free copper with palladium plating is included, with dual 3.5mm connectors at the headphone end, a 3.5mm termination plug and a key-controlled in-line microphone. No separate cable options, balanced plug or adapter are mentioned, and the ear cups are described as detachable velvet.
How it compares
The FiiO JT7 Planar Magnetic Driver Open-Back Headphones cost $129.99 and use a planar magnetic driver, against the JT3's 50mm dynamic driver at $69.99. The FiiO FG3 2 Dynamic Drivers Over Ear Gaming Headphone is $79.99 and its spec line lists a detachable microphone, where the JT3 has an in-line one on its cable. At $69.99 the JT3 is priced below both and suits listeners who want an open-back dynamic driver; the JT7 suits those ready to pay for a planar one.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
FiiO's own notice "A letter to FiiO fans" (undated) lists HiFiGo among sellers it has not authorized and recommends buying FiiO products from local agents. FiiO says it still services genuine products bought from such sellers if the buyer emails [email protected], but the buyer pays the freight and duties if a unit must go back to China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Open-back design with a 50mm dynamic driver, per the page
- Stated 80Ω@1kHz impedance, 110dB/Vrms sensitivity and weight
- Stock cable with dual 3.5mm connectors and a key-controlled microphone
- Detachable velvet ear cups and an aluminium-magnesium alloy grill
- Both colors are $69.99
Worth noting
- The page gives 80Ω@1kHz but no source power or amplifier recommendation
- No balanced plug, adapter or other cable option is mentioned
- Low distortion is claimed without a THD figure
- The stock cable's length is not stated
Questions before you buy
What does the page say about driving the JT3?
It lists 80Ω@1kHz impedance and 110dB/Vrms sensitivity, with a 10Hz-35kHz frequency range, but does not say how much power the headphone needs.
Which cable and plugs come with it?
The page lists a dual 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable made of 4N oxygen-free copper with palladium plating and a key-controlled microphone. The headphone side has dual 3.5mm connectors and the source end has a 3.5mm termination plug.
How heavy is the JT3?
The spec section gives the weight as about 330 grams, and the page calls the headphone lightweight.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The page mentions ultra-low THD+N but gives no THD figure, and sound claims such as punchy bass and a wide soundstage are FiiO's wording.
- No source-power guidance is given with the 80Ω@1kHz impedance, and the page does not state the cable length.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
- FiiO's undated seller notice lists HiFiGo as an unauthorized seller; FiiO says it still services genuine units, with freight and duties paid by the buyer.
