Our verdict

The Hestia 2MP is the lowest-cost camera Qsee sells, and its pan-tilt body, motion tracking and two-way talk make it workable for a basic indoor view on a 2.4 GHz network. The Hestia 4T costs $14 more and lists sharper video, dual-band Wi-Fi and more detection types, so the 2MP mainly makes sense when price is the deciding factor. We found no independent test of this model.

Best for
A basic indoor view from your phone when the lowest price matters most.
Skip if
Your network is 5 GHz only, you want person or sound alerts, or you need outdoor coverage.

Why 3.5/5: Lifted by the lowest price in Qsee's range and a full pan-tilt body with motion tracking; held back by 1080p video, 2.4 GHz-only Wi-Fi, a shorter feature list than the Hestia 4T and a support record that store reviewers criticize.

The Hestia 2MP is the cheapest camera in Qsee's current range: an indoor pan-tilt Wi-Fi camera that records 1080p video, talks both ways and saves to a microSD card. It comes from Qsee (formerly Q-See, relaunched in 2023). The store lists it at $15.99 as of 18 October 2026, with a crossed-out price of $36.99.

What the spec sheet promises

The sensor is 2MP (1920×1080, H.265, 15 fps) behind a fixed 3.6 mm lens with a 100° view. It pans 355° and tilts 75°, with motion detection and motion tracking, so the camera follows movement and records it; a privacy mode is listed. Six infrared LEDs give a night range of 5–8 m on the spec table (the copy says up to 26.3 ft). Two-way talk uses a built-in microphone and speaker. The spec table lists no person detection and no sound detection, which the Hestia 4T does. Storage is a microSD card of up to 128 GB, not included, or Qsee cloud. The box holds the camera, a 5V/1A adapter, a Micro USB cable, a mounting bracket, two screws and the manual.

The one setup limit that matters

Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only (802.11 b/g/n, 150 Mbps maximum). Qsee's page says so twice and adds that the camera does not support 5 GHz, so a network that offers only 5 GHz will not work.

How it compares with the rest of the range

The Hestia 4T costs $14 more at the prices shown on 18 October 2026 and adds 4MP video, dual-band Wi-Fi, a call button and person and sound detection. Unless the camera has to sit on a 2.4 GHz-only network or the budget is fixed at the lowest price, the 4T lists a lot more for little more money.

Before you buy

Qsee Technology is a California company founded in 2022 that bought the Q-See trademark. It says it doesn't support old Q-See products, servers, apps or warranties, and old cameras can't be added to the new Qsee Smart Home app. The ten buyer reviews on this product page (read on 18 October 2026) are mostly positive about delivery, setup and picture quality; one reviewer reports about eight unanswered attempts to reach support. A company notice dated 17 December 2024 says app and cloud services were disrupted while data moved to a new cloud server. These are signals to weigh, not verdicts. Buying from Qsee's own site or its official Amazon store keeps the 2-year warranty valid; keep the order confirmation and check the camera inside the return window.

What we liked

  • The lowest price in Qsee's current range: $15.99 on 18 October 2026
  • 355° pan and 75° tilt with motion tracking that follows movement
  • Two-way talk through a built-in microphone and speaker
  • Records to a microSD card with no monthly fee; Qsee cloud is optional
  • Privacy mode listed on the spec sheet

Worth noting

  • Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only; it can't join a 5 GHz-only network
  • 1080p at 15 fps, a fixed 3.6 mm lens and a 100° view
  • The spec table lists no person or sound detection, which the Hestia 4T has
  • Indoor camera: plastic housing and no weatherproof rating listed
  • The microSD card isn't included, and Qsee cloud is a subscription whose price the product page doesn't give
  • One store-page reviewer reports about eight unanswered attempts to reach support (small sample)

Questions before you buy

Does the Hestia 2MP work on 5 GHz Wi-Fi?

No. The product page says it supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only (802.11 b/g/n, up to 150 Mbps). The Hestia 4T is the dual-band model.

What does it record to?

A microSD card of up to 128 GB that you supply, or Qsee cloud. The product page doesn't give a cloud price; the Download Center says a cloud subscription is available in the app.

Can it follow movement?

Yes. The page lists motion detection and motion tracking, with a 355° pan and a 75° tilt, and says the camera tracks and records detected motion. It lists no person or sound detection.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Qsee's policy page accepts returns of unopened, unused items in original packaging within 15 days of delivery (reduced from 30, it says); you pay return shipping, and a rejected return costs a 15% restocking fee plus freight. Defects must be reported within 30 days with photo or video proof, and Qsee then covers shipping. The product-page badge still says 30-day return, so confirm with support before relying on it.

Does it work with my old Q-See cameras or the old app?

No. Qsee Technology says it is a separate company that bought the Q-See trademark, and that it does not support old Q-See servers, apps or warranties. Old cameras can't be added to the new Qsee Smart Home app, and this camera needs that new app.

What we couldn’t verify

  • Qsee cloud plans and prices: the Download Center says a subscription exists, but no price is published on the product page.
  • Independent testing: we found no independent test or review of this model when we searched on 2026-10-18, so every spec here comes from Qsee's own pages.
  • Who makes the hardware, and any NDAA or FCC covered-equipment statement: neither is published on the product page.
