SIVGA SV023 Walnut Wood Headphones Review
A walnut-cupped headphone with a 50mm dynamic driver and a 4.4mm balanced cable, listed at $499 with 3.5mm and 6.35mm adapters. It suits buyers who can check its 300Ω±15% impedance against their source.

Our verdict
A walnut-cupped dynamic-driver headphone with a 4.4mm balanced cable and adapters at $499, for buyers who want a wired set with those plug options. Look elsewhere if you need guidance on the source for a 300Ω load, a clear open or semi-open answer, or a sensitivity figure with a reference. All figures here come from the store's page.
- Best for
- Buyers with a 4.4mm balanced source who want a walnut-cupped 50mm dynamic headphone.
- Skip if
- You need the page to state what source a 300Ω headphone needs or whether it is open or semi-open.
Why 3.5/5: Weight, impedance, sensitivity, range and two adapters are all listed, which supports it; the store's own terms contradict each other, and no independent test of this model was checked for this review.
At $499 the SIVGA SV023 is a walnut-cupped dynamic-driver headphone with a 50mm driver and a beryllium-plated LCP diaphragm. The page lists 300Ω±15% impedance, 105dB sensitivity, a 20Hz-40kHz range and a weight of 318grams, with a detachable 6N OCC copper cable ending in a 4.4mm balanced termination. The title says open back while the text describes a semi-open back.

Options and pricing
Only a default option is listed, at $499 and orderable when the page was read. The page says the package includes a 4.4mm to 3.5mm adapter and a standard 6.35mm adapter alongside the 4.4mm balanced cable, so 3.5mm and 6.35mm sources are covered by adapters rather than by separate cables. It lists no second option.
How it compares
At $499 the SV023 sits above the SIVGA Luan 50mm Dynamic Driver Open-Back Over-Ear Wood Headphone at $359, also a wooden dynamic-driver open-back, and the DUNU Mortise 50mm Dynamic Driver Open-Back Headphones at $429.99. The FiiO FT15 101mm Planar Magnetic Open-Back Headphones at $490.99 is a planar model close to the SV023 on price. The SV023 page lists 300Ω±15%, a figure to check against your source's output before choosing it over the cheaper models; the Luan suits a tighter budget and the FT15 suits buyers who prefer a planar driver.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- 50mm dynamic driver with a beryllium-plated LCP diaphragm, per the page
- Detachable 6N OCC copper cable with 4.4mm balanced termination, plus 4.4mm to 3.5mm and 6.35mm adapters
- The specification block lists driver type and size, weight (318grams), impedance, sensitivity and range
- Hand-made walnut ear cups with an aluminum alloy grill and stainless steel mesh are described
Worth noting
- The title says open back but the text describes a semi-open back
- The page lists 300Ω±15% but gives no guidance on the source or amplifier it needs
- The 105dB sensitivity names no load or reference
- Sound claims (wide soundstage, deep bass, crisp vocals) have no measurements behind them
Questions before you buy
Is the SIVGA SV023 open-back or semi-open?
The store title and tag say open back, but the description calls it a semi-open back architecture, with a CNC machined aluminum alloy grill and stainless steel mesh at the center of each ear cup.
What impedance does the SV023 list, and what does it need?
The page lists 300Ω±15% and 105dB sensitivity with no load or reference. It does not say what output power or amplifier it needs, so check that against your source before choosing it.
Which cable and adapters does the SV023 list?
A detachable 6N OCC copper cable with a 4.4mm balanced termination, plus a 4.4mm to 3.5mm adapter and a standard 6.35mm adapter, per the page.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

- The title says open back while the text says semi-open back; 105dB is quoted without a load or reference.
