Sony WF-1000XM3 True Wireless Earbuds Review
A Sony true wireless earbud listed at $109 in Platina or Black, with a QN1e processor, Alexa built-in and up to 6 hours per charge (up to 24 with the case) per the page. Alexa and stated battery hours are the draw for buyers who can live without a listed codec or Bluetooth version.

Our verdict
Suited to buyers who want Alexa, wearing detection and stated battery and quick-charge hours at $109. Look elsewhere if you need a Bluetooth version, a codec list, a driver size or an IP rating, none of which the page gives. Its noise and call-quality claims come with no figures in the page text.
- Best for
- Buyers who want Alexa and stated battery hours in a true wireless earbud.
- Skip if
- You need a Bluetooth version, a codec list or an IP rating before buying.
Why 3.4/5: Stated battery, quick-charge and control details count in its favor. The lack of a specification list, of any Bluetooth version or driver detail, the store's own conflicting terms and no independent test checked for this review count against it.
Sony's WF-1000XM3 is a true wireless earbud listed at $109 in Platina or Black. The page lists a QN1e processor with 24bit audio signal processing, Alexa built-in and a touch control panel. Battery starts at up to 6 hours per charge and reaches up to 24 hours once the case is counted. Neither a Bluetooth version nor a codec is named.

Options and pricing
Platina and Black are the two colors listed (Sony WF-1000XM3 Platina and Sony WF-1000XM3 Black), each at $109 and orderable when read. No other options appear, and the page does not describe what comes in the box. Controls are on a touch panel, and the page names the Sony Headphones Connect app for Android and iOS.
How it compares
The Moondrop Golden Ages 2 13mm Planar Magnetic Driver TWS Earbuds and the Moondrop UltraSonic Bluetooth 5.3 Hybrid Hi-Fi ANC True Wireless Earbuds both list at $89.99, below the XM3's $109, and name a driver design in their titles, which the XM3 page does not. At $59 the DUNU DTW 300 Bluetooth 5.4 True Wireless Earbuds put 50dB on their ANC, a figure absent here. The XM3 suits buyers who want Alexa and stated battery hours; the Moondrop pair suit buyers who care more about the driver design.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Battery stated three ways: up to 6 hours per charge, up to 24 hours with the case, and 8 and 32 with noise reduction off
- Quick-charge figure: 10 minutes for up to 90 minutes of playback
- Alexa built-in, wearing detection and Quick Attention Mode listed
- Sony Headphones Connect app for Android and iOS
- Two colors at one price
Worth noting
- No Bluetooth version or codec list on the page
- No driver size, impedance, weight or IP rating is given
- The 6-hour figure is not tied to a setting, though the description gives 8 hours with noise reduction off
- The page carries a note about a third-party curve, but its text gives no curve data
Questions before you buy
What battery figures does the XM3 page list?
Up to 6 hours per charge, with the case supplying three more full charges for up to 24 hours. With noise reduction off, the product description gives 8 hours per charge and up to 32 hours with the case. A 10-minute charge gives up to 90 minutes of playback.
Does the page give a Bluetooth version or codecs?
No. The page names no Bluetooth version, codec, driver size, weight or IP rating.
What control features are listed?
A touch control panel, Quick Attention Mode (a hand over the left earbud), wearing detection that pauses and resumes music, Smart Listening through Adaptive Sound Control and Alexa built-in.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The page gives no Bluetooth version, codec list, driver size, impedance, weight or IP rating.
- A note says 'The curve is measured by a third party and is for reference only', but the page text gives no curve or measurement; claims about noise canceling, signal-to-noise ratio and call quality come with no figures or comparisons.
- 'Up to 6 hours' is not tied to a noise canceling setting, while the product description gives 8 hours with noise canceling off; the 24 and 32 hour totals assume three charges from the case.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
