Unique Melody MEST Jet Black IEMs Review
This Unique Melody IEM combines air conduction and bone conduction drivers, ten per side per the text, with a Black Jade zirconia ceramic shell. Listed at $1,999 with a 4.4mm balanced plug, it suits buyers who want 0.78mm 2-pin connectors; the page lists the driver mix two different ways.

Our verdict
Consider it if you want a ten-driver hybrid with bone conduction drivers, a zirconia ceramic shell and a 4.4mm balanced plug. Look elsewhere if you need the driver mix to read the same everywhere on the page or a plug other than 4.4mm. The page's first-ever and sound claims are its own words.
- Best for
- Anyone looking for ceramic-shell IEMs that pair air conduction and bone conduction drivers.
- Skip if
- You need one consistent driver mix or a plug other than 4.4mm.
Why 3.5/5: Conflicting store terms and no independent test of the MEST Jet Black being checked for this review keep the rating down.
Unique Melody's MEST Jet Black pairs air conduction and bone conduction drivers: the text lists 1DD, 4BA, 2EST and three bone conduction drivers on each side, in a 4-way plus 2-way crossover, inside a zirconia ceramic shell. The spec section lists 12.6Ω, 106dB@1kHz and 20Hz~70kHz with a 4.4mm balanced plug, at $1,999.

Options and pricing
Melody Mest Jet Black is the only option, at $1,999, and it showed as orderable. The text describes two cable choices, UM Dreamy and UM Jet Link, but the option list holds a single entry, so the data read here does not show which cable the price covers. The spec section names a 4.4mm balanced plug and 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, and the features list a customized leather case.
How it compares
The Elysian Apostle 2026 shares the $1,999 price and has a five-driver tribrid layout per its spec, against ten drivers here. At lower prices, the SeeAudio KAGUYA II costs $1,599 and lists 1DD+4BA+2BCD+2EST, and the Unique Melody Maven Pro costs $1,799 and is named for 10BA+2EST. The MEST Jet Black suits buyers who want bone conduction drivers in a ceramic shell with a 4.4mm plug; the Maven Pro suits those who prefer a 10BA+2EST layout.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Ten drivers per side, with bone conduction drivers in a 2-way crossover beside a 4-way air conduction crossover, per the text
- Impedance, sensitivity, frequency response and a 0.78mm 2-pin connector are all given in the spec section
- Two named stock cables, UM Dreamy and UM Jet Link, with AWG and conductor details
- A customized leather case is listed in the features
Worth noting
- The store title counts 1DD+6BA+2EST+1 PZT bone conduction, while the text and features count 1DD+4BA+2EST+3 bone conduction drivers
- The text describes two cable options, but the option list shows one, so what the price covers is not shown
- The spec section lists a single termination plug, 4.4mm balanced, with no alternative in the page text
- The page text names no ear tips and gives no weight figure
Questions before you buy
How many drivers does the MEST Jet Black have?
The text and features list 10 drivers per side: 1 dynamic, 4 balanced armature, 2 electrostatic and 3 bone conduction (two composite BA bone conduction units and one PZT unit). The store title counts them as 1DD+6BA+2EST+1 PZT instead.
Which cable choices does the MEST Jet Black page describe?
The text names two stock cable options, UM Dreamy (24AWG, 4-wire single-crystal copper) and UM Jet Link (26AWG, 4-wire OCC), and the spec section lists a 4.4mm balanced plug with 0.78mm 2-pin connectors. The option list shows only one entry.
What do the MEST Jet Black's spec lines say about impedance and sensitivity?
12.6Ω impedance, 106dB@1kHz sensitivity and a 20Hz~70kHz frequency response.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The store title says 1DD+6BA+2EST+1 PZT bone conduction, while the features and text say 1DD+4BA+2EST+3 bone conduction drivers, two of them composite BA units; the text names two cables but the option list shows one.
- The page's first-ever hybrid bone conduction claim, its claims about zirconia ceramic reducing resonance and its sound descriptions come with no measurement or source in the page text, and the 106dB@1kHz sensitivity names no reference level.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
