Kids' Bikes and Electric Bikes for Kids Compared: 5 Picks From 2 Online Stores and Their Fine Print

Hycline's balance and pedal bikes cost $79.99 to $225.99, plus the $29.99 its policy charges to ship a bike, with 30-day returns; Eunorau's kids' e-bikes cost $799 and $899, ship free and give 7 days to ask for a return.

Updated October 25, 2026 · 5 reviews compared

This page compares five kids' bikes sold online by two US stores: three balance and pedal bikes from Hycline, a bike and tire seller that gives a Stockton, California address, and two electric bikes for kids from Eunorau E-Mobility USA, which ships from Las Vegas. The picks run from $79.99 to $899, as priced on October 23, 2026. Every size, weight, speed and range figure below is the store's own: we have not ridden or weighed these bikes, and our searches found no independent test of any of them.

Sizing needs the most care, because the listings do not follow one chart. Hycline's 16-inch Ecarpat lists a rider height of 37 to 45 inches, below the 40 to 52 inches on its 14-inch Candami, and the 12-inch ChopShip gives only an inseam range of 13 to 19 inches, so measure your child's height and inseam and check them against the page you buy from. Eunorau gives a height range and a minimum age for each e-bike, 3'0" to 4'5" and ages 5 and up for the EKIDS16, 3'5" to 5'0" and ages 8 and up for the EKIDS20, and puts a selector with three speed limits on the handlebar.

Returns are where the two stores differ most. Hycline's refund policy gives 30 days for a new, unused bike in its original packaging, after you send photos and get a return label; you pay the return shipping if you change your mind, while a defective bike goes back without fees. Eunorau's return page gives 7 calendar days from receipt to apply, takes back only an e-bike that has not been assembled or ridden and is complete in its original box, and has you pay the shipping back; the refund is full only when the fault is Eunorau's. For a holiday gift, those 7 days run from delivery, not from the day the box is opened.

Shipping and warranty differ too. Hycline ships only within the continental US and counts every bike as oversized: its shipping policy charges $29.99 for Standard delivery in 7 to 15 days, although its product pages advertise free shipping over $99, and someone must sign for the box. Eunorau ships e-bikes free by FedEx or UPS to the lower 48 states, an estimated 5 to 7 days after 1 to 3 business days of processing, with a $500 option for Hawaii and Alaska. Eunorau's warranty page lists 24 months on the battery, motor and electronics and 10 years on the frame, for manufacturing defects only; Hycline's product pages say 1 year, but its policies and terms name no warranty.

1. Balance bike for a first ride

ChopShip 12-Inch Baby Balance Bike

A 12-inch balance bike with no pedals at $79.99, in black, red, pink or blue. The page names a magnesium alloy frame, 12-inch rubber tires, a footboard and a seat that fits inseams of 13 to 19 inches, and suggests ages 1 to 5. It gives no weight, tire width or load limit, and it does not mention brakes. Assembly is described only as '85% package with necessary tool'. At this price, the $29.99 that Hycline's shipping policy charges for any bike adds more than a third to the cost.

Best for
A 12-inch balance bike for a child whose inseam falls within the 13-19 inch range the page lists.
Skip if
You need a stated weight, brake details or a specification table before choosing.

2. 16-inch pedal bike with a coaster brake

Ecarpat 16-Inch Kids' Bike

A 16-inch pedal bike at $119.99 with 16 x 2.35 inch tires, a carbon steel frame, a coaster foot brake and a V-brake, plus an enclosed chain guard. The table lists 25.36 lb, a 100 lb maximum load, a rider height of 37 to 45 inches and ages 4 to 8, and the feature text repeats the height range. It comes 85% assembled: you fit the handlebar, saddle, front wheel, pedals and training wheels, though another line of the page ties training wheels to 12-inch bikes, so ask whether they are in the box.

Best for
A buyer with a child in the 37 to 45 inch range the table lists who wants 16-inch wheels.
Skip if
You need every color in stock or a clear statement of whether training wheels are included.

3. 20-inch bike with 7 gears

Cirle Wind 20-Inch Kids' Bike

A 20-inch bike at $225.99 with 20 x 2.125 inch tires and, per the page text, a steel frame and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain with a twist shifter; no component models are named. Its table and text agree on a rider height of 42 to 56 inches, but the page lists no bike weight, no brake type and no assembly percentage, only an 80 lb limit for the rider and gear together. The listing's title says Cirle Wind, while its text calls it Ecarpat's Cirle Wind.

Best for
A buyer who wants a 20-inch kids' bike with a listed 7-speed twist shifter and a rider height of 42-56 inches.
Skip if
You need a stated bike weight or brake details, which the page does not give.

4. Electric balance bike, no pedals

Eunorau EKIDS16 1.0 Kids Electric Bike

An electric balance bike at $799: no pedals, a 24V 180W rear motor, a 24V 10Ah battery and 16 x 1.95 inch tires. A selector on the handlebar sets a limit of 5, 7.5 or 12.5 mph, and the half-twist throttle starts only once the bike is rolling at 3 km/h. The table lists 28.6 lb, a 120 lb payload, rider heights of 3'0" to 4'5" and ages 5 and up. The only brake listed is a rear band-type brake, there is no display, and the range of up to 25 miles comes with no rider weight or terrain.

Best for
Families who want a pedal-free electric balance bike for a child within the page's 3'0" to 4'5" height range.
Skip if
You want pedals, a display, a front brake or a model for taller riders.

5. E-bike with pedals for ages 8 and up

Eunorau EKIDS20 1.0 Kids Electric Bike

A kids' e-bike with pedals at $899: a 24V 250W rear motor, a cadence sensor, a single-speed chain drive and 20 x 1.95 inch tires. The handlebar selector sets 7.5, 11 or 15.5 mph, and both wheels have disc brakes with 160 mm rotors and levers that cut the motor. The table lists 37.4 lb, a 200 lb payload, rider heights of 3'5" to 5'0" and ages 8 and up. Its header calls it Class 1, which Eunorau's FAQ defines as pedal assist only, yet it lists a twist throttle. The EKIDS24 costs the same with 24-inch wheels, a 50 mm fork and heights to 5'5".

Best for
Families who want a single-speed kids' e-bike with disc brakes and the three handlebar speed limits the page lists.
Skip if
You want a display, a suspension fork or the longer listed range of the EKIDS16.

How we compared

We compared these bikes from the stores' product listings, as summarized in our full review of each, and from Hycline's shipping and refund policies, FAQ, About page and terms and Eunorau's shipping, return, warranty, FAQ and terms pages, first read on October 21 and 22, 2026. When we reloaded them on October 24 and 25, 2026, all were unchanged except Eunorau's FAQ, which would not load and is used as read on October 21. We have not ridden, assembled or weighed these bikes; every size, weight, speed and range figure is the store's own, and our searches found no independent test of any of them.

Where a store's pages disagree, this page says so: Hycline's About page calls 30-day returns free while its refund policy has you pay return shipping for a change of mind, and its product pages offer free shipping over $99 while its shipping policy charges $29.99 for any bike; Eunorau labels the EKIDS20 Class 1 while listing a throttle, and its terms say shipping is charged once, returns included, while its return page has the buyer pay return shipping. The picks are labeled by need, not ranked; each price comes from the pick's review and was last checked on the date shown beside it.

Each pick links to its full review and the sources behind it. How we research

Questions before you buy

What size bike does my child need?

Go by your child's height and inseam and the figures on the page you buy from, because these stores do not follow one chart. Hycline lists an inseam of 13 to 19 inches for the 12-inch ChopShip, a height of 37 to 45 inches for the 16-inch Ecarpat, 40 to 52 inches for the 14-inch Candami and 42 to 56 inches for the 20-inch Cirle Wind. Eunorau lists 3'0" to 4'5" for the EKIDS16, 3'5" to 5'0" for the EKIDS20 and 3'5" to 5'5" for the 24-inch EKIDS24.

How fast do Eunorau's kids' e-bikes go?

Each has a selector on the handlebar with three speed limits: 5, 7.5 and 12.5 mph on the EKIDS16, and 7.5, 11 and 15.5 mph on the EKIDS20 and EKIDS24. The half-twist throttle starts only once the bike is already moving at 3 km/h, about 1.9 mph. The pages do not say whether the selector can be locked at a lower limit.

Which of these stores accepts returns, and for how long?

Hycline's refund policy gives 30 days for a new, unused bike in its original packaging: you send photos first, get a return label and pay return shipping if you changed your mind, while a defective item goes back without fees. Eunorau's return page gives 7 calendar days from receipt to apply; the e-bike must not have been assembled or ridden, must be complete in its original box, and goes back at your cost, with a full refund only when the fault is Eunorau's. Eunorau orders can be cancelled for a full refund before they ship.

What does shipping cost?

Hycline's shipping policy covers the continental US only and treats every bike as oversized: Standard delivery in 7 to 15 days for $29.99, even though its product pages advertise free shipping over $99. Delivery needs a signature, and damage must be reported within 24 hours with photos and video. Eunorau ships e-bikes free by FedEx or UPS to the lower 48 states, an estimated 5 to 7 days after 1 to 3 business days of processing; Hawaii and Alaska need a $500 shipping option.

Do Hycline's pedal bikes come with training wheels?

The pages don't say clearly. The 16-inch Ecarpat and the 14-inch Candami list training wheels among the parts you fit at assembly, yet a feature line on each ties them to other wheel sizes: 12-inch bikes on the 16-inch page, 18-inch bikes on the Candami's. The 14-inch Runster names removable training wheels as a feature, and the Cirle Wind page doesn't mention them. If your child needs them, ask Hycline before ordering.

Are Eunorau's kids' e-bikes UL certified?

Each EKIDS page's header strip says 'UL CERTIFIED: Yes' but names no standard, test lab or certificate number, and we found none. Ask Eunorau which UL standard applies and for the certificate number before buying.

What do outside records say about these two stores?

Not much. When we read them on October 21 and 22, 2026, the Better Business Bureau gave Eunorau E-Mobility USA Corp an F grade, with no accreditation and two complaints marked unanswered, and hyclinebike.com had an unclaimed Trustpilot profile with one review, five stars from April 2023 about tires. Hycline's domain was registered in November 2022, while its About page says the site opened in 2019. We found no customer review of these kids' bikes that we could verify.
