AFUL Performer 5+2 IEMs Review
Two dynamic drivers, four balanced armatures and one micro planar driver are listed for this AFUL IEM, priced from $234.99 with a 3.5mm or 4.4mm termination. It suits buyers who want a stated 15Ω±20% impedance, 109dB@1kHz sensitivity and a 1.2m cable on a 0.78mm 2-pin connector.

Our verdict
Aimed at buyers who want a 2DD+4BA+1Micro Planar IEM from $234.99 with a stated 15Ω±20% impedance, a listed 1.2m cable and a choice of 3.5mm or 4.4mm terminations. Look elsewhere if you want a page that explains its extra cable option or lists box contents. The main caveat is the model name written two ways, and that the page text gives no measurement behind its easy-to-drive and sound claims.

Why 3.6/5: Credit goes to the specification list in the page text. Pulling it down are the store's own contradictory terms and the fact that no independent test of this model was checked for this review.
Listed from $234.99, the AFUL Performer 5+2 is an in-ear monitor with a 2DD+4BA+1Micro Planar layout, and its option names call it the Performer 7. The specification list gives 15Ω±20%, 109dB@1kHz and 10Hz-35kHz, with a 0.78mm 2-pin connector, a 1.2m cable length and a 3.5mm or 4.4mm termination.

Options and pricing
Three options are listed and all were orderable when the page was read. Performer 7-3.5mm and Performer 7-4.4mm are $234.99 each, and Performer 7 4.4mm + 3.5mm Cable is $259.99; the page shows crossed-out prices of $239.99 next to $234.99 and $264.99 next to $259.99. The page text gives no description of the extra cable in the third option beyond its name, and no box contents.
How it compares
Two DUNU siblings are listed at $237.49 and $249. The DUNU DN142 1DD + 4BA + 2 Planar Tribrid Drivers IEMs use, per their spec line, one dynamic driver, four balanced armatures and two planar drivers, where the Performer lists two dynamic drivers, four armatures and one micro planar from $234.99. The DUNU PRS 6 / PRS6 1DD+4BA+1 MEMS Tribrid IEMs add, going by the name, one MEMS driver to one dynamic driver and four armatures. Choose the AFUL for the listed 1.2m cable and a choice of terminations; the siblings' names and spec lines do not state cable lengths or plugs.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Specification list gives 15Ω±20%, 109dB@1kHz and 10Hz-35kHz, with a reference frequency for the sensitivity
- Driver layout listed as 2DD+4BA+1Micro Planar
- A cable length of 1.2m and a 0.78mm 2-pin connector are stated
- 3.5mm or 4.4mm termination, plus a third option named for a 4.4mm and a 3.5mm cable
Worth noting
- The store title gives the model as Performer 5+2 / Performer 7, the page text says Performer 5+2 and the option names say Performer 7
- The page text gives no description of the extra cable in the $259.99 option beyond its name
- The page text gives no definition for the 20~105dB working sound pressure level it lists
- The page text gives no weight, shell material or box contents
- No independent test of the Performer was checked for this review, which leaves the figures as the store's own

What we couldn’t verify
- The page calls the model easy to drive, says it can be used with portable dongles or Bluetooth DAC/amps, and praises its bass and treble; the page text gives no output power requirement and no measurement.
- The page says damping direction may vary within a pair and damping material between colors of a model, to keep the frequency response consistent, and that its factory standard is above the industry average; the page text gives no data for either claim.
- The page text gives no definition for the 20~105dB working sound pressure level, and the store title gives the model as Performer 5+2 / Performer 7, the page text says Performer 5+2 and the option names say Performer 7.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
