Nobsound G2 Mini 100W Mono Digital Amplifier Review
A $36.99 mono class-D amp with a four-level gain switch and adjustable bass cutoff, usable as either a 100W subwoofer amp or a full-frequency amp.

Our verdict
The G2 Mini is the cheapest way into Nobsound's mono class-D line at $36.99. It can be a full-range amp or a subwoofer amp at the flick of a switch, with a four-step gain control and an adjustable 40-300Hz cutoff to blend a sub into a system. It is mono, the peak power figure is quoted at 2Ω, and the 19V supply is optional, but as a compact bass amp or single-channel solution it is remarkably inexpensive.
- Best for
- Adding a small, adjustable bass amp to a system, or powering one speaker channel on a tight budget.
- Skip if
- You need stereo output, or you want the power supply bundled without selecting it at checkout.
Why 3.5/5: Lifted by a low $36.99 starting price, four gain steps, an adjustable 40-300Hz cutoff and stated THD and SNR. Held back by the adapter costing $13.00 extra, a 100W rating the page gives at both 2Ω and 4Ω, and no input connector listed.
The Nobsound G2 Mini is a mono channel digital amplifier priced at $36.99, intended for home stereo systems as either a subwoofer amplifier or a full-frequency amplifier. It is a class-D design in a small aluminium chassis, and the listing describes it as simple and compact but practical and powerful.
A working mode switcher lets the G2 Mini run as a subwoofer bass amplifier or as a full-frequency amp. Two units can be used to drive left and right channels independently, with mutual interference between channels suppressed. The amplifier uses a Texas Instruments TPA3116 chip with an NE5532 op amp, which the maker says guarantees no audible noise, and the spec table quotes a maximum of 100W x 1 at 2Ω. Matched speaker impedance is listed as 2-8Ω, and the maker says it will drive most home passive speakers or subwoofers. There is also a built-in speaker protection circuit in the solid aluminium chassis.
Setup flexibility comes from two controls. A gain switch on the bottom of the amplifier offers four levels of output setting: 20dB, 26dB, 32dB and 36dB, which the maker says keeps the sound quality better and unaffected by the resistor parts. A built-in low-pass filter handles subwoofer integration, with bass cutoff adjustable from 40-300Hz and a -12dB slope. Quoted performance is a full-frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz (±3dB), THD of 0.03% at 1W output, SNR of at least 106dB and input sensitivity of 0.775V. The amp runs on DC 12-24V, measures 118.5 x 98 x 33mm, weighs 0.36kg, and the 19V power supply is optional at checkout.

How it compares
At $36.99 (the option without a power adapter) the G2 Mini ties with the Nobsound NS-03G SUB as the cheapest amplifier in this group. The NS-03G is a subwoofer-only amp (20Hz-180Hz, one 3.5mm input, 100W into 4Ω, THD of 0.01% or less and SNR of at least 118dB, with no test conditions given). The G2 Mini switches between subwoofer and full-frequency use, adds a four-step gain switch (20/26/32/36dB) and a 40-300Hz cutoff knob, and lists THD 0.03% at 1W with SNR of at least 106dB. The Douk Audio G4 costs $44.99, which is $8.00 more, with a similar chip pair and a B/M switch but no gain or cutoff control on its page, and a 4-8Ω match against the G2 Mini's 2-8Ω.
Who it suits: the G2 Mini fits a small system that needs one tunable bass channel, or one channel of a stereo pair built from two units. Skip it if you want a single load rating: its Features give 100W at 4Ω and its Parameters give 100W at 2Ω. Skip the base option if you need a power supply: the With 19V Power Adapter option is $49.99, which is $13.00 more. The Nobsound G2 PRO at $64.99 (also without an adapter) is the step up to 300W max on a TPA3255D2, with the same 40-300Hz cutoff and a two-step 32/36dB gain switch.
Shipping, returns and warranty
- Shipping: Douk Audio's current shipping page says orders are generally processed no later than the next business day and arrive in 2-8 business days, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted otherwise.
- Older shipping terms are still online: airmail at 10-25 days for parcels under 2 kg, DHL, UPS or FedEx at 5-8 days above that, and a line saying the store is not responsible for import duties. Check the delivery estimate and any duties at checkout.
- Returns: ask within 30 days of delivery and wait for approval before sending anything; an approved return has to ship within 7 days. Items need all packaging and accessories and no excessive wear, or the store can refuse them or refund part of the price. Refunds go to the original payment method after inspection.
- Not refunded: original and expedited shipping, duties, taxes and customs charges, unless the law requires it or the store made the error. The return page does not say who pays return postage, and the older refund page excludes mistaken orders and change-of-mind returns from free after-sale service.
- Warranty: 24 months from purchase for manufacturing defects, with free repair, a replacement unit and free shipping both ways for covered repairs. Drops, liquid, DIY repairs, lightning, extreme temperatures and misuse are excluded (partial fees may apply), and damage from weak packing on the way back may not be covered. The older refund page still says 1 year.
- Seller: the site is run by Shenzhen Anba Technology Co., Ltd (Shenzhen, China) and HONGKONG LONGSHENG Import and Export Trading Co., Limited (Hong Kong); support is by email at [email protected]. These terms cover orders placed on doukaudio.com; other sellers apply their own.
For this product, the page lists shipping to US, UK, EU, AU and Other (the Other option is priced $10.00 higher) and shows Free Shipping, 2-8 Days Arrival, 30-Day Return and 2-Year Warranty badges near the price.
What we liked
- Mode switch lets it serve as a subwoofer bass amp or a full-frequency channel amp
- Four gain steps (20/26/32/36dB) on the bottom panel, so it suits both weak and hot sources
- Built-in low-pass filter with an adjustable 40-300Hz bass cutoff for dialling in a subwoofer
- Two units can drive left and right channels independently, with interference between channels suppressed
- Solid aluminium chassis with a built-in speaker protection circuit; SNR ≥106dB and THD 0.03% at 1W
Worth noting
- Mono: one unit drives a single channel or subwoofer
- The spec table quotes the 100W figure at 2Ω, so check your speaker or subwoofer impedance against that number
- The 19V power adapter is a checkout option, so the base price version ships without one

What we couldn’t verify
- $36.99 is the Without Power Adapter option; With 19V Power Adapter is $49.99. The page opens on the cheaper one, and its packing list shows 'Power Supply x1' without saying which option includes it.
- Power: the Features say 100W x 1 at 4Ω, but the Parameters say max power 100W x 1 at 2Ω; the review's Chip row follows the Parameters. No distortion level is tied to either.
- THD 0.03% at 1W and SNR ≥106dB come without frequency or load; 'no audible noise', 'totally no background noise' and 'HiFi listening experience' are page claims.
- The page lists no input connector type, only an input sensitivity of 0.775V, so it does not say whether the inputs are RCA, 3.5mm or both; it also says 'NE5532 op-amp' in one place and 'Dual NE5532' in another.
- Power: the page lists DC12-24V and a 19V supply option, with no current rating for that supply and no plug type per region.
- Warranty: the 2-Year Warranty badge is all this product page says about cover; exclusions are on the store's warranty page (see the shared section).
