Our verdict

A fit for owners of an external DAC who want a music server with IIS, AES, coaxial and optical outputs, a 1TB SSD and a 10MHz clock input at $1,599.99. Look elsewhere if you want analog outputs in the same box (the pictures read name none) or need to know whether an SSD for the M.2 slot comes with it, since two pictures point different ways. The main caveat is that many pictures were not read and every figure is the store's own.

Why 3.3/5: Several things hold it back: the page has no specification list as text, much of its content sits in pictures that were not all read, the store's own terms contradict each other, and no independent test was checked for this review.

Running CelWare Audio OS on an AMD 5600U with 8GB of DDR4 and a built-in 1TB SSD, according to its pictures, the GUSTARD S26 is listed by HiFiGO as a music server at $1,599.99. The page's description is 24 pictures with no specification text. Those read for this review show IIS, IIS-G, AES, coaxial and optical outputs, an Ethernet port, USB 3.0, a 10MHz clock input and a 120VA linear power supply.

Options and pricing

S26-Black and S26-Silver are both listed at $1,599.99 and were orderable when the page was read. A picture says the SSD for the M.2 slot is not included and needs a separate purchase, while another lists a 1TB SSD built in; the pictures read do not say whether these are two different drives. The pictures read include no contents list, so the price's coverage beyond the unit is unknown.

How it compares

The GUSTARD X26III Network Streamer ES9039SPRO X2 DAC is also $1,599.99 and is named a network streamer with an ES9039SPRO X2 DAC, while the S26 is named a music server and its pictures list digital outputs. The FiiO S15 AK4191+AK4499EX Desktop High-Res Audio Streamer costs $1,099.99 and is named a desktop audio streamer. The S26 suits owners of an external DAC; buyers who want a DAC in the same unit should look at the X26III first.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Pictures list IIS, IIS-G, AES, coaxial and optical outputs plus a USB output to a USB interface DAC
  • The IIS output is pictured at PCM 44.1kHz-768kHz 16Bit-32Bit and DSD64-DSD512 native, with wiring sequences adjustable in the app or web interface
  • A 10MHz BNC clock input and an internal/external clock toggle switch are pictured, with LED colors for internal clock, external clock and clock loss
  • Server and bridge roles are listed: CelPlayer Player, Roon Core and UPnP Server; Roon Bridge, UPnP Render, HQPlayer NAA, AirPlay and Spotify
  • A 1TB SSD built in and an M.2 NVMe slot for a PCIe 3.0x4 2280 SSD are listed

Worth noting

  • A picture says the M.2 slot's SSD is not included while another lists a 1TB SSD built in; the pictures read do not say whether these are two drives
  • Many of the page's 24 pictures were not read for this review and two could not be opened, so more specifications may sit in them
  • The outputs named in the pictures read are all digital, so an external DAC is needed
  • AES, coaxial and optical outputs are listed at PCM 44.1kHz-192kHz 16Bit-24Bit with DSD64 DoP only; native DSD is listed as not supported
  • The page has no specification list as text, and every figure is the store's own with no independent test checked here

Questions before you buy

What does the S26 run on?

The pictures list CelWare Audio OS on an X86 self-developed motherboard with an AMD 5600U (6-core/12-thread, base 2.3GHz, turbo up to 4.2GHz), DDR4 8GB and a 1TB built-in SSD, with a 120VA linear power supply.

Which outputs and sample rates are listed?

A pictured table gives IIS at 44.1kHz-768kHz, 16Bit-32Bit, with DSD64-DSD512 native and DSD64-DSD256 DoP, and AES, coaxial and optical at 44.1kHz-192kHz, 16Bit-24Bit, with DSD64 DoP and no native DSD. USB depends on the USB audio device.

Can the IIS pin order be changed?

Pictures say IIS-G fixedly uses the Gustard protocol, while the IIS interface supports adjustable wiring sequences set in the app or web interface. A picture warns that the IIS port is not real HDMI.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • A picture says the M.2 slot's SSD is not included and needs a separate purchase, while another lists a 1TB SSD built in; the pictures read do not say whether these are two different drives.
  • Statements in pictures such as ultra-low latency, in-memory playback, passive cooling, 1Hz-level PLL locking and a tip to move tracks from USB storage to internal storage for better audio quality are the page's own claims, not checked for this review.
  • Many of the page's 24 pictures were not read and two could not be opened, so specifications in them are not covered here.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
  • 2 of the 24 description pictures on HiFiGO's page did not load when we checked on October 29, 2026 (their image host answered "not found"), so anything they showed is not covered here.
