HiBy R6 III 2025 Android Player Review
Four CS43198 DAC chips and switchable Class A and Class AB amplification feature in this Android 12 player, which has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and costs $439 in Silver or Black. It suits buyers who want independent headphone and line-out ports; the page text gives no output power figure.

Our verdict
This suits buyers who want four CS43198 chips, a Class A mode and Android 12 in one player at $439. Look elsewhere if you need output power or noise figures, which the page text does not give, or a listed Bluetooth codec set. The main caveat is that every number is the store's own and the page text has no specification list.
- Best for
- Listeners who want an Android player with four CS43198 chips and a switchable Class A amplifier.
- Skip if
- You need output power, noise figures or a Bluetooth codec list before buying.
Why 3.4/5: No specification list as text on the page holds it back, along with the store's own terms contradicting each other and figures that are all the store's, with no independent test of this model checked.
Four CS43198 DAC chips sit at the center of the HiBy R6 III 2025, which its page describes as an update of the R6iii from 2023 and as a mid-priced player in HiBy's lineup. It runs open Android 12 on a Snapdragon 665 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and has switchable Class A and Class AB amplification. The price is $439 in Silver or Black.

Options and pricing
Two options are listed at $439 each, R6 III 2025-Silver and R6 III 2025-Black, and both were orderable when the page was read. The page text shows no crossed-out price and no accessory options. The page text gives no box contents and does not say whether a case or a cable is included, so only the player itself is priced.
How it compares
Against the four CS43198 chips and $439 here, the HiBy R6 Gen III lists dual ES9038Q2M chips at $399. The FiiO M21 is $353.99 and the SHANLING M3 Ultra is $479 with dual RT6863 amp chips. This model suits buyers who want independent line-out ports and a Class A mode; the page text gives no output power figure to compare.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Four CS43198 DAC chips with switchable Class A and Class AB amplification, per the page
- PCM 32-Bit/768kHz, native DSD512 and MQA 16x unfolding listed
- Independent 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone and line-out ports, plus USB DAC out and coaxial digital output
- Open Android 12 with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 4500mAh battery with PD2.0 fast charging
- Battery figures split by connection: about 13 hours single-ended in Class A and 11 hours balanced
Worth noting
- No output power, SNR, THD, impedance or frequency-response figure appears in the page text
- Bluetooth is called Hi-Res V5.0 with no codec list in the page text
- The feature list says up to 13 hours of battery, but the text gives 13 hours only for single-ended Class A and has no Class AB figure
- No memory card slot, weight or size is mentioned in the page text
