Our verdict

Suited to buyers who want a spec-sheet player with Android 13, a TF card slot up to 2TB and both 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs. Look elsewhere if you need output power at a load given with a unit, since the page's load figures lack units and line 6 has unequal channels. The main caveat is that every number is the store's own and the page has no text description beyond the spec list.

Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a specification list with figures on the page. Held back by the store's own terms contradicting each other and by every figure being the store's, with no independent test of this model checked.

Everything the FiiO M21 page says in text sits in one specification list, which gives a Snapdragon 680, Android 13, a 4.7-inch screen and a DAC chip written CS43198*4, read here as four chips. The same list gives approximately 193g, a 4000mAh battery, and 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs. The player without a case is $353.99 in Dark Blue or Titanium.

Options and pricing

Eight options are listed and all were orderable when the page was read. The player alone is $353.99 in Dark Blue or Titanium, and $374.98 with a leather case (blue with Dark Blue, brown with Titanium). A leather case sells alone at $20.99 in blue or brown, and a Taoe shell sells alone at $35.99 in gold or blue; these are accessories, so the lowest figure on the page is not the player's price.

How it compares

The HiBy R6 III 2025 lists four CS43198 chips at $439 against $353.99 here, and the HiBy R6 Gen III is $399 with dual ES9038Q2M chips. The xDuoo X5 is $209 with dual CS43131 chips. The M21 suits buyers who want weight, size and battery capacity on the page before ordering, while the X5 is the lower-budget option.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

FiiO's own notice "A letter to FiiO fans" (undated) lists HiFiGo among sellers it has not authorized and recommends buying FiiO products from local agents. FiiO says it still services genuine products bought from such sellers if the buyer emails [email protected], but the buyer pays the freight and duties if a unit must go back to China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

  • Six output power lines cover balanced and single-ended outputs in large ear mode and high gain
  • TF card slot listed up to 2TB, with 64GB body memory (approximately 52GB available)

Worth noting

  • The page has no text description beyond the specification list
  • The output power lines give loads as 320, 3002 and 300 with no unit, and line 6 lists unequal channels (290mW+390mW)

  • Battery life is 11.5h balanced against 15h single-ended, with no playback conditions in the page text

Questions before you buy

How many DAC chips does the FiiO M21 list?

The title and the spec list both write CS43198*4. Going by that notation it is four CS43198 chips, but the page text does not spell out the count in words. The page also lists a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 and Android 13.

Which outputs and memory card does the M21 list?

The spec list gives a single-ended 3.5mm output (PO/LO/SPDIF) and a balanced 4.4mm output (PO/LO). Memory is 4GB running memory and 64GB body memory with approximately 52GB available, and a standard TF card slot supports 2TB.

What Bluetooth codecs and battery life does the M21 list?

Bluetooth transmission lists AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC and LHDC, and reception lists SBC, AAC and LDAC. The battery is 4000mAh, with 15h on single end and 11.5h on balance, and PD2.0 and PD3.0 PPS fast charging.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The output power lines write their loads as 320, 3002 and 300 with no unit, the THD+N line gives 322, and line 6 lists unequal channels (290mW+390mW); the loads cannot be read with confidence.
  • Output impedance reads under ten with no unit and the Bluetooth version reads five; the page text gives no playback conditions for the 15h and 11.5h battery figures.
  • The store title calls it an MP3 player, while the spec list describes an Android 13 system with a Snapdragon 680.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
  • FiiO's undated seller notice lists HiFiGo as an unauthorized seller; FiiO says it still services genuine units, with freight and duties paid by the buyer.
