Our verdict

A fit for buyers who want per-port figures in the spec section and a single-option USB DAC/amp at $119. Look elsewhere if you need a choice of colors or bundles, a stated cable length or an independent measurement. The main caveat is that the page text does not say which output the 320mW figure belongs to.

Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a specification list with per-port distortion, voltage, noise and impedance figures. Held back by store terms that contradict each other and by every figure being the store's own, with no independent test checked for this review.

iBasso's DC06 is described on the page as the sixth generation of its DC series of portable USB DAC/amps, built around two ESS Sabre ES9219C chips and listed at $119 with one option. The spec section lists 32-Bit/384kHz PCM, native DSD256 and 16x MQA unfolding, gives separate output figures for the 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm single-ended ports, and puts the unit at 23 grams and 23mmx50mm.

Options and pricing

A single option is listed, Default Title, at $119 and orderable when the page was read, so there is no color, plug or bundle choice to make. The page text lists a detachable Type-C connector cable but gives no length and does not say whether a case or adapter is included. The multi-colour LED is an indicator light, not a color option: it shows red on standby, blue on DSD, green on PCM and magenta on MQA.

How it compares

The SHANLING ONIX XI1 Dual CS43198 + SGM8262 Portable DAC&AMP is listed at $119.99 and the Tanchjim Space II Dual CS43131 USB Portable DAC & AMP at $114.80, against $119 here; their titles name dual CS43198 and dual CS43131 chips where the DC06 uses two ES9219C. The HiBy FC5 2025 With Display Dual CS43198 Portable USB DAC&AMP is $99. The DC06 page gives its output figures port by port, so it suits buyers who want those numbers; the others suit buyers who prefer a CS43198 or CS43131 pairing or a lower price.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Output figures are given per port: THD+N, output voltage, SNR, dynamic range and output impedance
  • Two ES9219C Sabre chips with PCM up to 32-Bit/384kHz, native DSD256 and 16x MQA unfolding
  • Output voltage listed at 32Ω for both ports, plus 320mW at 32Ω in the text
  • Detachable Type-C connector cable listed
  • Weighs 23 grams and measures 23mmx50mm per the spec section

Worth noting

  • The page text does not name a port for the 320mW at 32Ω figure
  • The single-ended 3.5mm port lists a lower output voltage than the balanced 4.4mm port at 32Ω (2Vrms against 3.2Vrms)
  • A single option with no color or bundle choice, and the page text gives no cable length or box contents
  • The page text gives no power-draw figure for the host device

Questions before you buy

Which DAC chips does the iBasso DC06 use?

Two ES9219C DAC chips from ESS Sabre, per the page, with an independent femtosecond oscillator. The page lists PCM up to 32-Bit/384kHz, native DSD256 and 16x MQA unfolding.

How much power does the DC06 list?

The text says 320mW at 32Ω without naming an output. The spec section gives 3.2Vrms at 32Ω and 4Vrms at 300Ω for the 4.4mm port, and 2Vrms at 32Ω for the 3.5mm port.

What do the LED colors mean?

Per the page the multi-color LED shows red on standby, blue on DSD, green on PCM and magenta on MQA.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The 320mW at 32Ω figure appears in the text only and does not name the 3.5mm or 4.4mm port; the spec section gives output voltage rather than power.
  • Terms such as high SNR, low distortion and a clean, detailed output are the page's claims; the page text gives only its own figures and cites no outside measurement checked for this review.
  • The store title calls it a USB Cable Adapter while the text calls it a portable USB DAC/amp, and the page text gives no cable length or box list.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
