JUZEAR Defiant 1DD+3BA Hybrid IEMs Review
A four-driver hybrid in-ear monitor, with one 10mm dynamic driver and three balanced armatures per side, listed from $94.99. It suits buyers who want a 0.78mm 2-pin cable, 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs and two color choices.

Our verdict
A fit for buyers who want a four-driver hybrid with a 0.78mm 2-pin cable and 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs from $94.99. Look elsewhere if you want the Type C adapter explained, a sensitivity figure with an input level, or measurements from someone other than the store. The main caveat is that the Z Reviews tuning story and the sound claims are the page's own statements.
- Best for
- Buyers who want a four-driver hybrid IEM with 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs and a 0.78mm 2-pin cable.
- Skip if
- You need the Type C adapter options explained or a measurement from outside the store.
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a specification list in the page text; held back by the store's own terms contradicting each other and by every figure being the store's own, since no independent test of this model was checked for this review.
JUZEAR's Defiant is a hybrid in-ear monitor tuned in collaboration with the Z Reviews channel, according to the page, and it houses one 10mm dynamic driver and three balanced armatures on each side. HiFiGO lists the base option at $94.99. The specification section gives 32Ω, 109dB±1dB, 20Hz~20kHz and THD+N of ≤0.8%, with a 0.78mm 2-pin cable.

Options and pricing
Eight options are listed and all were orderable when the page was read. Defiant Rainbow and Defiant Green Bronze Cable are $94.99 each, with a crossed-out price of $99.99 shown beside them; adding the Type C Adapter makes either one $99.99. Flare Cable and Flare Cable Green are cables sold alone at $38.99, Flare Cable+Type C Adapter is $42.99, and the Defiant Type C Adapter alone is $9.59. The review price is the cheapest option that includes the earphones. The page text names Rainbow and Jade Green as the two colors.
How it compares
At $94.99 the Defiant lists four drivers per side, against the Sivga Que UTG Flat Glass Diaphragm Dynamic Driver IEMs at $94.90 with a single dynamic driver per its spec line. The Moondrop Rays 1DD+1 Planar Drivers Gaming IEMs are $99.99 and the ECCI YST-03 is $99.90, with a spec line naming dual balanced armature drivers. The Defiant suits buyers who want a four-driver hybrid with two plug types named in the package.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Four drivers per side per the page: one 10mm dynamic driver and three balanced armatures
- THD+N sits alongside impedance, sensitivity and frequency range in the specification section
- FLARE cable on 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, with 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs in the package
- Cable-only options are listed separately, so a cable can be bought alone
Worth noting
- The page text gives no reference level for the 109dB±1dB sensitivity figure
- The page text never describes the Type C Adapter options or gives a DAC figure for them
- The dynamic driver's diaphragm is called PU composite in one paragraph and Carbon-PU composite in another
- The page text names a third-party curve but gives no name or figure from it
Questions before you buy
What drivers does the Defiant use?
The page lists one third-generation 10mm dynamic driver and three balanced armature drivers per side: a dual composite BA for the midrange and a custom BA for the high frequencies, split by a three-way crossover.
Which plugs and cable does it come with?
A FLARE cable with a hybrid 6N SPOCC+SCCW wire core on 0.78mm 2-pin connectors. The page says the package holds interchangeable 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs. Cable-only options are listed separately at $38.99.
Does the base price include the Type C adapter?
The page lists the Type C Adapter as separate options: $9.59 alone, or $99.99 bundled with the Rainbow or the Green Bronze Cable set. The page text does not describe the adapter.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The text says a curve was measured by a third party for reference only, naming no one and giving no figure. The tuning and sound claims, including the Z Reviews collaboration, are the page's own words.
- The dynamic driver's diaphragm is called PU composite in one paragraph and Carbon-PU composite in another, and the page text states no input level for the sensitivity (109dB±1dB).
- The description names Rainbow and Jade Green as the two colors while the options are Defiant Rainbow and Defiant Green Bronze Cable; the Type C Adapter options are not described in the text.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
