L.K.S Audio MH-DA004 Dual DAC Review
A desktop DAC that the page says runs two ES9038pro chips in mono mode, listed from $1,559.99 in Standard and USB upgraded editions. It suits buyers who want RCA and balanced outputs with USB Type-B, optical and coaxial inputs; the attribute list gives PCM to 384 kHz and DSD64 to DSD512.

Our verdict
A fit for buyers who want a desktop DAC with two ES9038pro chips, RCA and balanced outputs and a choice of Standard or USB upgraded edition, from $1,559.99. Look elsewhere if you want a Bluetooth input (the attribute list says Bluetooth: No). The only dynamic range figure in the part of the listing read is the chip's, for reference only. The listing data read for this review was cut for length, and every spec figure here is the store's own.
- Best for
- Buyers who want a desktop DAC with two ES9038pro chips and RCA and balanced outputs.
- Skip if
- You want a Bluetooth input, which the attribute list says this model does not have.
Why 3.6/5: The page text lists specification figures, which lifts the rating, but the store's own terms contradict each other and no independent test was checked for this review: every spec figure is the store's own.
L.K.S Audio's MH-DA004 is a desktop DAC that, per the page, runs two ES9038pro chips in mono mode, one for each channel, and HiFiGO lists it from $1,559.99. Options and pricing
All four options were orderable when the page was read: Black and Silver at $1,559.99 each, and Gold and Other at $1,599.99 each. The specification section pairs them with editions: Silver color is the Silver Std Edition, Black color the Black Std Edition, Gold color the Silver USB upgraded Edition and Other the Black USB upgraded Edition. The Gold option is therefore described as a Silver edition, so the color name and the description do not match.
How it compares
The Yulong DA11 ES9038PRO Desktop DAC Amplifier Pre-Amp All in One is $1,400 and its name lists an ES9038PRO, a desktop DAC, an amplifier and a preamp, while this page lists two ES9038pro chips. The SMSL M400 DAC+ SP400 HPA+ XLR Cable Stack is $1,489.98 and its spec line names an AK4499 chip, DSD512 and 32bit 768kHz. The GUSTARD X26III Network Streamer ES9039SPRO X2 DAC is $1,599.99 and its name says network streamer. The MH-DA004 at $1,559.99 suits buyers who want USB, optical and coaxial inputs with RCA and balanced outputs; the X26III suits those who want a network streamer.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Two ES9038pro chips are named in the store title, and the page describes them in mono mode, one for each channel
- The page names a Crystek CCHD-575 master clock rated 82fS @ 100MHz
- RCA and Balanced Out outputs and USB Type-B, optical (SPDIF) and coaxial inputs are listed in the attribute list
- PCM sampling frequencies from 44.1 kHz to 384 kHz with a 32-bit word length and DSD64 to DSD512 are listed
- Standard and USB upgraded editions are both offered, and the page lists what the upgrade adds to the USB module
- The page says two transformers give six sets of AC power supply and 13 groups of low-noise regulator circuit
Worth noting
- The Gold option is described in the specification section as the Silver USB upgraded Edition, so the option name and the description do not match
- Inputs are given two ways: three in the attribute list, and coaxial BNC, AES EBU, USB, I2S and optical in the specification heading
- The attribute list says Bluetooth: No and WIFI: No
- The dynamic range figures shown, 140dBA in mono mode and 137dBA in two-channel mode, are quoted for the ES9038pro chip, and the page calls them for reference only

What we couldn’t verify
- The page gives inputs two ways (three in the attribute list; coaxial BNC, AES EBU, USB, I2S and optical in the specification heading), and describes the Gold option as the Silver USB upgraded Edition.
- The 140dBA and 137dBA dynamic range figures are given for the chip and called for reference only; the page's claims about sound background, density, separation and imaging have no measurement behind them in the part shown.
- The specification section was cut for length in the listing data read for this review, so details after the fifth design point are unknown here.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
