Lola Ade Pular Two-Stone Toi et Moi Engagement Ring Setting Review
Pular is a two-stone Toi et Moi setting: twin four-prong baskets hold two diamonds on a diagonal over a curved band about 2.64mm wide. The setting starts at $1,295 in 14K gold and $1,595 in platinum, and it suits a buyer who wants two stones rather than one.

Our verdict
This setting is for a buyer who wants two stones side by side and accepts choosing both diamonds separately. Look elsewhere if you want a single center stone, a price that already includes the diamonds, or a page that explains how the two stones are priced together. The main caveat is that the setting price, from $1,295, covers neither diamond, and the page asks for two different stones.
- Best for
- A buyer who wants two stones set side by side and is ready to choose both diamonds separately.
- Skip if
- You want a single center stone, or a price that already includes the diamonds.
Why 3.7/5: Lifted by a spec sheet with 6 rows and one complimentary resizing in the first 6 months; held back by the store's no-returns, no-refunds policy (a damaged or defective item gets an exchange or repair).
Two stones, not one, set Pular apart: the Toi et Moi style places twin solitaire diamonds in four-prong baskets on a diagonal over a curved band, and the listing says this setting requires two different diamonds. It starts at $1,295 for the setting alone in 14K rose, white or yellow gold, with platinum at $1,595, across 40 variants that include ten stone shapes. The diamonds are chosen in separate steps after the setting.

Options and pricing
Four metals are listed: 14K rose gold, 14K white gold and 14K yellow gold at $1,295 each, and platinum at $1,595. The Match Shapes option names emerald, heart, round, oval, cushion, asscher, princess, pear, marquise and radiant, and Ring Style has one value, Unique, which together give 40 variants. The page gives the band as approximately 2.64mm wide and 1.5mm thick, and says to pick the first stone for the top left, then choose the second diamond from the store's diamonds page.
How it compares
The matching Pular Wedding Band starts at $695 and lists a 1.7mm width. The settings listed beside Pular are single-stone solitaires: the Pelo Twisted Vine Cathedral Solitaire Engagement Ring Setting has the same $1,295 starting price and a 2mm band, and the Libi Classic Solitaire Engagement Ring Setting starts at $995. Pular lists a 2.64mm band.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Shipping: the Shipping & Returns page says US orders over $100 ship free and that fine jewelry, diamonds and engagement rings are handcrafted to order and usually fulfilled within 1 to 4 weeks, sent by UPS 2-day shipping with an adult signature required. The FAQ gives other figures, an estimated 4 to 6 weeks for custom rings and generally 6 to 8 weeks of production from payment, and says the checkout page shows an estimate, so confirm the date there. Fine jewelry ships only within the United States according to the FAQ; international orders are limited to the Demi-Fine Collection. Returns: the Shipping & Returns page says the store cannot accept returns on these limited, handmade or made-to-order items; if an item arrives damaged or defective, contact the store within 14 days of delivery for an exchange or repair of the same item, which must be in its original packaging with no sign of wear. The FAQ says all fine jewelry sales are final and that returns, refunds and exchanges are not accepted, with a repair offered for faulty items, and the sales terms add that sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. The refund policy page grants a 14-day cooling-off right to orders shipped into the European Union. Resizing: the FAQ says one complimentary resizing is offered within the first 6 months and certain ring styles can be resized up to 2 sizes up or down; after 6 months it costs $80 for gold and $100 for platinum. Warranty: the FAQ says the store guarantees its fine jewelry against manufacturing defects at the time of delivery for life and repairs a confirmed defect at no cost, while damage from wear and tear or trauma is quoted before any work. Excluded examples include scratching, loss of center stones, product loss or theft, discoloration from chemicals or make-up and prongs that wear down over time. Discount code: the sales terms say codes must be entered at checkout, only one code can be used per order and promotions exclude gift cards and custom orders unless stated otherwise; some products can also be excluded, so check that the FACESTORE code takes 10% off this item before you pay.
Before you buy
Lola Ade says it is a Black woman-owned fine jewelry brand based in Los Angeles that sells online only, founded by Pamela Adewoyin James, whom its About page calls a GIA-certified diamond professional and practicing attorney. The page says she has handcrafted jewelry since 2010 and launched an engagement ring collection in 2024. A July 2026 SHEEN Magazine interview tells a similar story, but it is a profile, not a product test, and searches on 20 October 2026 found no Trustpilot, BBB or Reddit page for the store. The store's own reviews page shows 40 reviews, 38 of them five-star and 2 four-star; that widget is the store's display and was not verified. Its giving program ("a portion of every fine jewelry purchase" supports clean water access in Africa, and a portion of each engagement ring sale per its community page) names no amount. The FAQ says the store's diamonds come from suppliers that follow strict ethical standards, are conflict-free and comply with the Kimberley Process; it publishes no supplier list. There is no showroom, so you cannot see a piece in person, and the pages disagree on production time and on whether a damaged item gets an exchange or only a repair; ask for the estimate and the remedy in writing before you order. The ring builder has three steps (setting, diamond, complete ring), so the setting price here is not the price of the finished ring.
What we liked
- The two-stone design is explained on the page, including that two different diamonds are required
- The band is measured: approximately 2.64mm wide and 1.5mm thick, and described as curved
- Ten shapes are offered in the Match Shapes option, and platinum is available at $1,595
- A Pular Wedding Band is sold to match, starting at $695
- The catalog lists 37 complete rings of this design, priced from $2,405.97 to $93,229
Worth noting
- Both diamonds are extra: the catalog's complete rings of this design run from $2,405.97 to $93,229, against the $1,295 setting price
- Buying takes extra steps: the first diamond goes to the cart, then the second is picked from the store's diamonds page
- The page does not say how the second diamond adds to the price
- The platinum option raises the setting price from $1,295 to $1,595
Questions before you buy
Does this setting take one diamond or two?
Two. The listing says the style requires two different diamonds: choose the first stone for the top left and add it to the cart, then use the DIAMONDS link in the header to pick the second.
What does the catalog show for complete rings of this design?
On 2026-10-20 the catalog listed 37 complete rings of this design, 31 natural and 6 lab-grown, from 1 to 5.04 carat. Round (13) and heart (7) have the highest shape counts, IGI reports cover 34 listings and GIA reports 3, and each listing pairs the setting with one specific diamond.
Which metals and shapes are offered?
14K rose, white and yellow gold at $1,295 and platinum at $1,595, with ten stone shapes in the Match Shapes option.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
No. The Shipping & Returns page says the store cannot accept returns on its handmade, limited or made-to-order items, and the FAQ says all fine jewelry sales are final with no returns, refunds or exchanges. If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact the store within 14 days of delivery for an exchange or repair.
How long does a made-to-order piece take?
The pages differ. Shipping & Returns says fine jewelry is usually fulfilled within 1 to 4 weeks; the FAQ says an estimated 4 to 6 weeks for custom rings and generally 6 to 8 weeks of production from payment, with an estimate on the checkout page. Ask the store for a date in writing.
Does Lola Ade resize rings?
The FAQ says certain ring styles can be resized up to 2 sizes up or down, with one complimentary resizing within the first 6 months. After 6 months resizing costs $80 for gold and $100 for platinum. Ask first whether this style qualifies.
Is financing available?
The FAQ says financing is available through Shop Pay and tells buyers to contact Shop Pay for details; it lists no terms or rates, so check them at checkout.

What we couldn’t verify
- The page says the style needs two different diamonds, but the catalog line counts each complete ring as one specific diamond, and the listing does not reconcile the two.
- The listing does not say whether 'different' means different shapes, sizes or only separate stones, or what the second diamond adds to the price.
- The listing says the curved band lends comfort and stability, a claim that we could not check.
- Independent testing of this piece: none found; the only outside coverage located is an interview-style profile of the founder (SHEEN Magazine, July 2026).
- The store's pages disagree on production time (1 to 4 weeks, 4 to 6 weeks, 6 to 8 weeks) and on exchange versus repair for a damaged item.
- The store's 40-review widget and its clean-water giving claim are its own statements and were not verified.
- Whether the FACESTORE code applies to this item was not tested; the sales terms exclude custom orders and some products.
- We have not seen this piece's grading report; the diamond grades come from the listing.
