Our verdict

A fit for listeners who already own 4.4mm balanced IEMs or headphones and want a USB Type-C source with app-based parametric EQ at a low price. Look elsewhere if you need a 3.5mm output, DSD decoding or a stated output power. All figures are the store page's own, and the output power missing from the page text is the main caveat.

Why 3.5/5: Held back by the store's own terms contradicting each other and by no independent test of this model being checked for this review: every figure is the store's own.

Moondrop's Echo-B takes a USB Type-C input and outputs through a fully balanced 4.4mm jack, and the store lists it at $24.99. The page credits it with a custom-developed fully balanced decoding chipset, PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz, a 117dB(A-Weighted) SNR, a 120dB(A-Weighted) dynamic range and 0.001% THD+N at no load. It also describes five built-in tuning configurations, plus other setups and parametric EQ through the Moondrop Link application.

Options and pricing

The page lists a single option, Echo-B, at $24.99, shown as orderable when it was read. The spec section lists one headphone jack, the 4.4mm balanced one, so the page text offers no 3.5mm choice on this model; the 3.5mm model is the separate Echo-A. The page text lists no cable, case or box contents.

How it compares

The Moondrop Echo-A costs $21.99 against $24.99 here and uses a 3.5mm jack, so it fits 3.5mm single-ended plugs. The MuseHiFi U3 is $29.99 and its listing line mentions a fully-discrete OPAMP filter design. The Moondrop Dawn Pro 2 is $59.99, names dual CS43198 chips and lists Native DSD256 beside 32-Bit/384kHz PCM, where the Echo-B page text lists PCM only. The Echo-B suits a 4.4mm-only budget setup; the Dawn Pro 2 suits buyers who want DSD.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Fully balanced 4.4mm output on a USB Type-C unit listed at $24.99
  • Spec section gives SNR, dynamic range and THD+N, with the THD+N conditions stated
  • Page describes five built-in tuning configurations plus other setups and custom parametric EQ through the Moondrop Link app
  • Page lists PCM decoding up to 32-bit/384kHz
  • Page lists compatibility with Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices

Worth noting

  • The page text gives no output power figure at any load, which matters for a balanced 4.4mm output feeding demanding headphones
  • The decoding chipset is called custom-developed and the page text names no model
  • Only PCM is listed; the page text names no DSD support
  • Needs a 4.4mm plug; the page text lists no 3.5mm output on this model

Questions before you buy

What connector does the Echo-B output through?

A 4.4mm fully balanced headphone jack, per the spec section; the input is a USB Type-C plug. The page lists compatibility with computers, laptops, mobiles and tablets running Windows, Mac, Android or iOS.

What can the Moondrop Link app change?

The page mentions five built-in tuning configurations and says the app lets users pick other setups or customize parametric equalizers, and lets them share and download configurations made by others. The page text does not say which platforms the app runs on.

What noise and distortion figures does the page give?

The spec section gives SNR of 117dB(A-Weighted), dynamic range of 120dB(A-Weighted) and THD+N of 0.001% (AES17, 20kHz, no-load). The page text gives no output power figure alongside them.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • No output power figure or impedance guidance appears anywhere in the page text, and the decoding chipset is called custom-developed with no model named.
  • The page promises 'unlimited' online DSP tuning possibilities and a 'non-audible' noise floor with sensitive IEMs; neither claim comes with a measurement in the page text, and the THD+N figure is given at no-load.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
