Our verdict

Fits buyers who want a wired flat-headed earbud with a 3.5mm plug at $9.99 and can do without a microphone. Those who need a microphone, a Bluetooth or USB-C connection, a stated cable length or figures from an outside test should look elsewhere. The caveat is that every specification figure sits in pictures and is the store's own.

Why 3.3/5: Held back by a page with no specification list as text and most claims in pictures, by the store's own terms contradicting each other, and because no independent test was checked for this review: every figure is the store's own.

Priced at $9.99, the Moondrop NiceBuds are wired flat-headed earbuds in a black option with a 3.5mm plug and no microphone. Their description is 9 pictures rather than text. They give the model as MD-IEM-075, a 15.4mm dynamic driver, 32Ω±15% at 1kHz, 122dB/Vrms, 20Hz-20kHz and THD≤0.1% at 1kHz and 94dB.

Options and pricing

The page lists a single option, NiceBuds Black 3.5mm no Mic, at $9.99 and orderable when the page was read, so the listed version has a 3.5mm plug and no microphone. A picture says the earbuds come in two colors, transparent and black transparent, but the only listed option is named Black. The pictured package list names the NiceBuds, sponge ear-tips, a manual and a certificate.

How it compares

For $19.99 the Moondrop Quark2 HiFi USB-C Micro Dynamic Driver In-Ear Earphone is named a USB-C in-ear earphone, against $9.99 and a 3.5mm plug here. The DUNU VIVALDI Open Ear Wireless Bluetooth 5.3 Earphones are $39.99 and named wireless with Bluetooth 5.3. The NiceBuds suit buyers who want a 3.5mm wired earbud with a 15.4mm driver; the other two suit a USB-C source or a wireless connection.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • The pictures give impedance (32Ω±15% at 1kHz), sensitivity (122dB/Vrms) and frequency response (20Hz-20kHz, -3dB)
  • THD is stated in the pictures as ≤0.1% with its test point (@1kHz, 94dB)
  • A 15.4mm dynamic driver and a 3.5mm stereo plug are named in the pictured specification
  • Sponge ear-tips, a manual and a certificate are listed in the pictured package list

Worth noting

  • The only listed option is named NiceBuds Black 3.5mm no Mic, so the page text lists no microphone version
  • The description is 9 pictures with no specification list as text; one, a story panel, was not read
  • No cable length or weight appears in the pictures read
  • A picture shows two colors but the page lists one option, named Black

What we couldn’t verify

  • Claims in the pictures, not checked here: punchy bass with a clean and transparent mid-range, a fit that significantly enhances bass quality, and a design based on the classic flat-headed MX500.
  • A picture carries VGP 2026 award badges, which were not checked here. A picture shows two colors while one option is listed, and one story picture was not read.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
