Our verdict

For buyers who want a CD player that also plays microSD files and links over Bluetooth, the EC Mini fits at $359. Look elsewhere if you need the DAC chip named consistently, an output-power figure tied to one jack or battery times with stated conditions: the page text lists 7.5H of CD playback and 25H from microSD with no volume or load conditions stated. Every figure is the store's own.

Why 3.4/5: Held back by a page without a specification list as text, by contradictory store terms, and by every figure being the store's own with no independent test checked for this review.

Sold as both a transportable CD player and a digital audio player, the SHANLING EC Mini is listed at $359 in silver. The page lists dual ES9219 DAC chips, 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs, an RCA analog pre-out, microSD playback up to 2TB and Bluetooth V5.0 that works in both directions. It gives 248mW at 32Ω for headphone output, two 18650 batteries totaling 6800mAh, and up to 7.5H of CD playback or 25H from microSD.

Options and pricing

EC Mini Silver is the only option, at $359, and it was orderable when the page was read. There is no color or plug choice, because the 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs and the RCA pre-out are all on the one model. Box contents, including any microSD card or cables, are not described in the page text.

How it compares

The FiiO DM15 Dual AKM AK4493S Portable Stereo CD Player is listed at $285.99 against $359 here and is described as a CD player with built-in DAC and headphone amplifier. The xDuoo CDM-10 / CDM10 Dual CS43198 Portable Tube CD Player costs $429 and is named a tube player. The SHANLING EC3 Top-Loading ES9219C DAC Chip Compact Hi-Fi CD Player is the same brand at $599 and is described as top-loading. The EC Mini suits buyers who also want microSD playback and Bluetooth input from a transportable player.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Dual ES9219 DAC chips with 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs and an RCA analog pre-out
  • A headphone figure of 248mW at 32Ω per the page, with the load stated
  • Plays audio CDs and MQA-CD, and files from a microSD card up to 2TB, per the page
  • Bluetooth V5.0 in both directions, with LDAC, AptX, AAC and SBC listed for input
  • Two 18650 batteries (6800mAh) with up to 7.5H of CD playback and 25H of microSD playback claimed
  • Remote control from the Eddict Player app on Android and iOS, per the page

Worth noting

  • The page text does not say which headphone output the 248mW at 32Ω figure applies to
  • The store title says ES9219MQ while the text says ES9219, so the DAC chip is named two ways
  • No specification list as text: low THD+N, high SNR and DNR appear only as claims without figures
  • The laser is spelled Sanya HD860 in the feature list and Sanyo HD860 in the text
  • The page text gives no weight or dimensions

Questions before you buy

What Bluetooth does the EC Mini have?

Bluetooth V5.0, which the page calls bi-directional. For input it lists LDAC, AptX, AAC and SBC; the page text names no output codecs.

How long does the battery last?

The page text says two 18650 batteries totaling 6800mAh give up to 25H of microSD playback and up to 7.5H of CD playback, with no volume or load conditions stated.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. What we couldn’t verify

  • The title says ES9219MQ and the text says ES9219; the laser is spelled Sanya HD860 in the feature list and Sanyo HD860 in the text.
  • The page text does not name the 3.5mm or 4.4mm jack for the 248mW at 32Ω figure, and gives no volume or load conditions for the 7.5H CD and 25H microSD battery times.
  • Claims of low THD+N, high SNR and Hi-Res decoding come with no measured figures in the page text.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
