Singxer SA-2 Headphone Amp and Pre-Amp Review

A fully analog Class A headphone amplifier and pre-amplifier from Singxer, listed at $629. The page quotes 10 watts into 32 ohms and up to 15 watts into a 20 ohm load, and lists only RCA and XLR inputs, so a separate DAC or other analog source is needed.

Our verdict

A match for owners of demanding headphones who already run a DAC and want a balanced, fully analog amplifier with RCA and XLR inputs and a pre-amp function. Look elsewhere if you need a built-in DAC, a USB or wireless input, or measured distortion and noise figures. The main caveat is that the page names no headphone connector and every number comes from the store's page.

Skip if
You want a built-in DAC, a USB or wireless input, or measured distortion figures.

Why 3.5/5: Power figures that come with their loads and the listed inputs and impedance modes lift it. The store's own terms contradicting each other, and every figure being the store's own with no independent test checked, hold it back.

Per the page, the SA-2 is the next step after Singxer's SA-1 V2: a fully analog Class A amplifier that also works as a pre-amplifier, listed here at $629 in a single option. The page quotes 10 watts into 32 ohms, up from 5.5 watts on the older model, plus a maximum of 15 watts into a 20 ohm load, with headphones down to 8 ohms supported. Its circuit is described as balanced and discrete, with no digital control circuitry and a front-panel choice of RCA or XLR input.

Options and pricing

The only option is SA-2 at $629, orderable when the page was read, with no color, plug or version to pick. The page does not say what is in the box, so check whether a power cord, RCA or XLR cables and a headphone cable are included before buying. It also names the headphone output only as a balanced port, so confirm that the connector type matches your cable.

How it compares

The Moondrop x SMSL DHA15 All-in-One Desktop DAC & AMP is listed at $649.99 against $629 here and includes DACs (its name says dual CS43198), while the SA-2 page describes a purely analog path. The Soncoz SGA1 Headphone AMP & Pre-AMP is $449.99 and the TOPPING A70Pro Headphone Amp is $499, both also sold as amp and pre-amp units. Choose the SA-2 if you already own a DAC and want the quoted 10 watts into 32 ohms; choose a sibling for a built-in DAC or a lower price.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Output power comes with loads: 10 watts into 32 ohms and up to 15 watts into a 20 ohm load, per the page
  • The page lists RCA and XLR inputs and names balanced input to balanced output as the preferred way to run it
  • An output impedance switch (LOW-Z or HI-Z) and a stated minimum load of 8 ohms, per the page
  • RCA and XLR pre-outs with stated output impedance (22.5 Ω and 45 Ω), so it can also act as a pre-amplifier
  • Fully analog path with no digital control circuitry, and six protections listed, from overcurrent to turn-on delay, per the page

Worth noting

  • The headphone output connector is not named on the page, only a balanced output port
  • No DAC or digital input is listed, so digital sources need a separate DAC
  • No distortion, noise or gain figures are given, only claims of ultra-low distortion at high power and ultra-low noise
  • The LOW-Z and HI-Z modes have no output impedance figure; only the pre-out impedances are listed
  • No weight, dimensions or in-the-box list on the page

Questions before you buy

What output power does the SA-2 page quote?

The page lists 10 watts into 32 ohms and a maximum of 15 watts into a 20 ohm load, up from 5.5 watts into 32 ohms on the SA-1. It says the amp supports headphones with a minimum load of 8 ohms. The page gives no power figure for any other load.

What can be connected to the SA-2?

A front-panel switch selects RCA or XLR input. The page names RCA and XLR pre-outs, with output impedance of 22.5 Ω on RCA and 45 Ω on XLR. The headphone output is described as a balanced port, but the page does not name its connector.

Is there a DAC inside the SA-2?

The page describes a fully analog amplifier and pre-amplifier with no digital control circuitry and lists only RCA and XLR inputs. It does not list a DAC or a USB input, so digital sources would need a separate DAC.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The page gives 10 watts into 32 ohms and 15 watts into 20 ohms but no distortion, noise or gain figure, although it says distortion stays ultra-low at high power and that the input transistors give ultra-low noise.
  • The headphone output connector is never named, and LOW-Z and HI-Z have no output impedance figure; only the pre-outs (22.5 Ω RCA, 45 Ω XLR) do.
  • The page calls the SA-2 an evolution of the SA-1 V2 and suitable for the most demanding headphones; both are claims on the page, and no independent test was checked for this review.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
