TOPPING A70Pro Balanced Headphone Amp Review
A fully balanced desktop headphone amplifier with an R2R relay volume control, listed at $499. The page lists up to 17000mW at 16Ω balanced and 6000mW at 16Ω single-ended, with a spec section for noise, SNR, gain and load; it suits demanding headphones.

Our verdict
A fit for a desk that wants a stated 17000mW at 16Ω balanced, balanced XLR and RCA inputs and a spec section with test conditions for THD. Look elsewhere if you need a DAC in the same box, a page that names the headphone sockets, or measurements beyond the page's own figures. The main caveat is that every figure is the store's own and the page names two different companion models.
- Best for
- Owners of demanding headphones who want a balanced amp with a stated 17000mW at 16Ω.
- Skip if
- You need a DAC in the same box or a page that names the headphone output sockets.
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a specification section with figures for power, distortion, noise and gain; held back by the store's own terms contradicting each other and because no independent test of this model was checked for this review.
The A70Pro is TOPPING's fully balanced headphone amplifier built around what the page calls a T'ang-Ku-La module, listed at $499. Its spec section gives a maximum of 17000mW at 16Ω balanced and 6000mW at 16Ω single-ended, SNR and DNR of up to 147dB and a 20Hz-40kHz frequency response. The page also lists an R2R relay volume control, two-level gain, a color display with three touch buttons and a 12V trigger control.

Options and pricing
Eight options are listed at $499 each, all orderable when the page was read: Black or Silver, combined with a plug option of EU, US, UK or AU. The page lists the plug as its own option next to the color and says nothing more about it. No other accessory is listed, and the page names an external EXT90 input device as an add-on that is not part of these options.
How it compares
The Soncoz SGA1 Headphone AMP & Pre-AMP is $449.99 against $499 here and is also named as a headphone amp and pre-amp. The FiiO K15 Streaming DAC & Headphone Amplifier costs $569 and adds a DAC and streamer function per its spec line, while the A70Pro page lists no digital input. The A70Pro suits a buyer who wants the 17000mW balanced rating and EXT90 input expansion; the K15 suits a desk with no DAC.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- A spec section with power, THD, SNR, DNR, noise, crosstalk, gain and load figures
- THD is given with its conditions: below 0.000065% at 500mW into 32Ω and below 0.000055% at 80mW into 300Ω
- Maximum power is stated for both outputs: 17000mW balanced and 6000mW single-ended, at 16Ω
- Gain figures are given for both outputs and both gain levels: 0dB, 13.9dB, 6dB and 19.9dB
- Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs, expandable with the EXT90 per the page
- R2R relay volume control with independent volume memory
Worth noting
- The page does not name the headphone output sockets
- Maximum power is given only at 16Ω; no maximum is stated at the 32Ω and 300Ω loads used for the THD figures
- The load impedance is listed as above 8Ω, so loads at or below 8Ω are outside the stated range
- The features name the D70 Pro Sabre as the match, but the text says to add the E70 Pro
Questions before you buy

The spec section gives a maximum of 17000mW at 16Ω balanced and 6000mW at 16Ω single-ended. THD is listed as below 0.000065% at 500mW into 32Ω and below 0.000055% at 80mW into 300Ω, and the load impedance as above 8Ω.
Which inputs does it have?
The page lists balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs. An external device such as the Topping EXT90 can expand them to four balanced XLR and two single-ended RCA inputs, per the page.
What gain settings does it list?
Two gain levels per output: 0dB (low) and 13.9dB (high) single-ended, and 6dB (low) and 19.9dB (high) balanced.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The page does not name the headphone output sockets; it refers only to a balanced output port and a single-ended output.
- The features name the D70 Pro Sabre as the match, while the description says to add the E70 Pro. The text says noise is 'as low as 0.2uVrms'; the spec lists 0.2uVrms for single-ended low gain and 0.6uVrms for balanced.
- Phrases such as 'ultra-clean output' and driving any headphone are the page's wording, and the spec figures come with only the conditions the page states.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
