Our verdict

For owners of very power-hungry or high-impedance headphones who want a balanced amplifier with several output types, a pre-amp mode and a choice of plug type. Look elsewhere if you need a DAC in the same box or want to confirm the input types from the page. The page's claims about records and power come with no independent test checked for this review, and every figure on it is the store's own.

Why 3.4/5: Power quoted at both 16Ω and 600Ω, plus the listed outputs and plug options, lifts it. A page without a specification list as text, store terms that conflict and figures with no independent test checked hold it back.

The TOPPING A900 is a fully balanced desktop headphone amplifier listed at $1,199 in four plug versions. The page quotes 22,000mW per channel at 16Ω and 750mW per channel at 600Ω, a 151dB dynamic range and 0.00003% THD+N, and describes a six-channel T'ang-ku-la circuit built from three modules. It lists six output ports, a dedicated pre-amp mode, a relay volume control and a 2-inch display.

Options and pricing

Four options are listed, named A900 Silver with an EU, US, AU or UK plug, and all cost $1,199 and were orderable when the page was read. The page files them under a color option, but the only difference the page text gives is the plug type. It does not say what is in the box, which mains voltage range the unit accepts, or give dimensions and weight.

How it compares

The SMSL VMV P2 MK2 Desktop Headphone Amplifier is $1,160 against $1,199 here and its spec line describes a 99-op-amp parallel design. The TOPPING DX9 Discrete DAC & Headphone AMP costs $1,299 and adds a DAC to a fully balanced amplifier, which the A900 page does not include. The xDuoo TA-68 Balanced Tube Headphone Amplifier is also $1,299 and, going by its name, a tube design. Pick the A900 for an amplifier-only unit with six outputs, the DX9 for an all-in-one, the TA-68 for tubes.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Power is quoted at two loads: 22,000mW per channel at 16Ω and 750mW per channel at 600Ω
  • Six output ports cover 6.35mm, 4.4mm, 4-pin XLR and 3-pin XLR, set as independent or simultaneous
  • A dedicated pre-amp mode with THD+N below 0.000055%, per the page
  • Relay-based volume control in 0.5dB steps, with channel crosstalk given as -153dB
  • Four plug options (EU, US, AU, UK) at the same price, and Neutrik and Pentaconn connectors named

Worth noting

  • No input connectors are named in the page text, which describes only outputs and a pre-amp mode
  • No mains voltage range, weight or dimensions are listed
  • Power is given at 16Ω and 600Ω only, with no figure for loads in between
  • No specification list as text; the figures sit inside marketing copy

Questions before you buy

How much power does the A900 quote?

22,000mW per channel at 16Ω and 750mW per channel at 600Ω, per the page. It gives no figures for loads in between, and calling it among the most powerful amplifiers is the page's own claim; no independent test was checked for this review.

How many headphone outputs does the A900 have?

Six physical ports: one 6.35mm single-ended, one 4.4mm balanced, two 4-pin XLR balanced and two 3-pin balanced. The page says outputs can be set to work independently or at the same time, and names Neutrik and Pentaconn connectors.

What do the four A900 options change?

The page text gives only the plug type: it lists A900 Silver with an EU, US, AU or UK plug, all at $1,199.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The page gives no input connectors, no mains voltage range and no weight or dimensions, and 22,000mW at 16Ω and 750mW at 600Ω are its only power figures.
  • Claims that it is designed to break all previous records and is among the most powerful consumer headphone amplifiers are the page's own, and no independent test was checked for this review.
  • THD+N is 0.00003% full-band (90kBW) for the main circuit and below 0.000055% in pre-amp mode; the page does not say at what output level or load.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
