TOPPING L50 Desktop Headphone Amp Review
A desktop headphone amplifier with a 4-pin XLR balanced and a 6.35mm single-ended output, listed at $229 in red. The page gives up to 3500mW at 16Ω; it suits a desk that already has a DAC, such as the E50 the page names as its match.

Our verdict
A fit for a desk with a 4-pin XLR or 6.35mm headphone cable that wants a stated 3500mW at 16Ω and 290mW at 600Ω from a headphone amplifier, with the E50 DAC as the pairing the page suggests. Look elsewhere if you need a 4.4mm balanced output, a full specification table or a DAC in the same box. Every figure is the store's own, and the page gives no distortion or SNR numbers.
- Best for
- Listeners with a 4-pin XLR or 6.35mm headphone cable who want a stated 3500mW at 16Ω.
- Skip if
- You need a 4.4mm output, a DAC in the same box or a full specification table.
Why 3.4/5: Held back by a page with no specification list as text and by the store's own terms contradicting each other, and because no independent test of this model was checked for this review.
Built on what the page calls a redesigned NFCA circuit, the TOPPING L50 is a desktop headphone amplifier listed at $229 in red. The page gives up to 3500mW (3.5W) at 16Ω and up to 290mW at 600Ω, a 4-pin XLR balanced and a 6.35mm single-ended headphone output, a three-step gain switch and an output impedance below 0.1Ω. The page says it was designed to match TOPPING's E50 MQA desktop DAC.

Options and pricing
One option is listed, Color: Red, at $229 and orderable when the page was read. The page shows no other color, no plug or region choice and no accessory option. It does not say what is in the box, so a cable is not confirmed by the listing. The E50 DAC that the page names as its match is described as a separate model and is not part of this option.
How it compares
The TOPPING L70 Full Balanced NFCA Headphone Amplifier is $279 against $229 here, and its spec line names 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced and 6.35mm single-ended ports, adding the 4.4mm that the L50 page does not list. The TOPPING A30Pro NFCA Headphone Amplifier is $349.99 with a spec line of up to 6W at 16ohms, against 3.5W at 16Ω on this page. The L50 suits a 4-pin XLR or 6.35mm cable at the lowest price of the three; the L70 suits a 4.4mm cable.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- 4-pin XLR balanced and 6.35mm single-ended headphone outputs, per the page
- Power is listed at two loads: up to 3500mW at 16Ω and up to 290mW at 600Ω
- An output impedance below 0.1Ω is stated
- Three-step gain switch, which the page aims at both sensitive and demanding headphones
- Balanced TRS and single-ended RCA connections, with input pass-through on RCA and TRS ports
- Noise (0.3uV) and dynamic range (145dB) figures are given
Worth noting
- The page has no specification list: the figures sit in marketing text and no THD+N or SNR figure is given
- No 4.4mm balanced headphone output is listed, only 4-pin XLR and 6.35mm
- The 'twice the power of L30 at 300Ω' claim states neither model's power at 300Ω
- No weight, dimensions or power-supply details are given
- Red is the only option, with no color or plug choice

How much power does the page list for the L50?
The page says up to 3500mW (3.5W) at 16Ω and up to 290mW at 600Ω, with an output impedance below 0.1Ω. It gives no distortion or SNR figure.
Which DAC does the page say it pairs with?
The page says it was designed to match TOPPING's E50 MQA desktop DAC and mentions an E50 plus L50 combo. The L50 itself takes TRS balanced or RCA single-ended input and has input pass-through RCA and TRS ports.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The page has no specification section: every figure comes from marketing text, and no distortion, SNR or measurement conditions are given.
- It says the L50 gives twice the power of the L30 at 300Ω but states neither model's power at 300Ω; the 0.3uV noise and 145dB dynamic range come with no conditions.
- The sound claims (clean, low-distortion amplification) are the page's words, not measurements.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
