TOPPING L70 Balanced Headphone Amp Review
A fully balanced desktop headphone amplifier with 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced and 6.35mm single-ended outputs, listed at $279 in black or silver. The page lists up to 7500mWx2 at 32Ω and says it can also work as a pre-amp.

Our verdict
A fit for a desk that wants one amplifier with 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced and 6.35mm single-ended sockets and a pre-amp role, at $279 with power stated at 32Ω and 300Ω. Look elsewhere if you need the inputs, distortion or noise figures spelled out, or a DAC in the same box. The main caveat is that the page lists no inputs and mentions a remote control only in the store title; every figure is the store's own.
- Best for
- Listeners who want 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm and 6.35mm headphone sockets on one amplifier.
- Skip if
- You need a page that lists the inputs and gives distortion or noise figures.
Why 3.4/5: Held back by a page with no specification list as text and by the store's own terms contradicting each other, and because no independent test of this model was checked for this review.
The TOPPING L70 pairs a fully balanced circuit built on NFCA modules with three headphone sockets, and is listed at $279 in black or silver. The page names 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced and 6.35mm single-ended headphone outputs, RCA, TRS and XLR output ports for pre-amp use, and power of up to 7500mWx2 at 32Ω and 1150mWx2 at 300Ω. The store title also mentions a remote control.

Options and pricing
Eight options are listed, all at $279 and all orderable when the page was read: L70 in Black or Silver, each with a UK, US, EU or AU label. The page does not explain what the region labels change. The store title says it comes with a remote control, but the description never mentions one, and no cable or accessory is listed.
How it compares
The TOPPING L50 Headphone Amp NFCA Modules is $229 against $279 here, with a spec line citing up to 3500mW. The TOPPING A30Pro NFCA Headphone Amplifier is $349.99 and cites up to 6W at 16ohms, while the L70 page gives its power at 32Ω and 300Ω, so the figures do not line up load for load. The FiiO K13 R2R Desktop DAC & Headphone Amplifier costs $319.99 and includes a DAC; the L70 does not list one, so it suits a desk that already has a source.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Three headphone sockets named: 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced and 6.35mm single-ended
- Power is listed at two loads: up to 7500mWx2 at 32Ω and 1150mWx2 at 300Ω
- Can also act as a pre-amp, with RCA, TRS and XLR output ports listed
- R2R relay volume control that memorizes settings by input and output mode, per the page
- A 12V trigger interface and a ground loop noise terminator are listed
Worth noting
- The page lists no input connectors, so what the amplifier accepts is not stated
- No distortion, noise, SNR or output impedance figure is given, only 'ultra-low' wording
- The store title mentions a remote control that the description never describes
- Eight options carry UK, US, EU and AU labels that the page does not explain
Questions before you buy

The page lists three headphone sockets: 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced and 6.35mm single-ended. It also lists RCA, TRS and XLR output ports for pre-amp use.
How much power does the page list?
The features say up to 7500mWx2 at 32Ω and 1150mWx2 at 300Ω, and the text repeats up to 7500mW at 32Ω. It lists two-level gain modes and an ultra-low output impedance without giving a figure.
Does it come with a remote control?
Only the store title mentions a remote control ('With Remote Control'); the description does not mention one and lists no box contents.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The store title says 'With Remote Control', but the description never mentions a remote and lists no box contents.
- The page has no specification list: the 7500mW figure is written 'x2' in the features and without it in the text, and no distortion, noise, SNR or output impedance figure is given.
- The UK, US, EU and AU labels on the options are not explained, and the inputs are not listed at all.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
