TOPPING Pre90 Pre-amp and Ext90 Extender Review
A listing titled as an RCA cable whose text describes TOPPING's Pre90 pre-amplifier and Ext90 input extender, from $249.99 for the Ext90 alone. The text gives the Pre90 a noise floor of less than 0.3uVrms and a dynamic range of up to 145dB, and names a 25cm SKW BG04 6N OCC cable gift.

Our verdict
Suits buyers who want a Pre90 pre-amplifier, an Ext90 input extender or both for a Topping desktop chain and can read past a store title that says RCA cable. Look elsewhere if you want a cable on its own, or gain, impedance and distortion figures, which the page text does not give. The noise floor and dynamic range figures are the store's own.
- Best for
- Buyers building a TOPPING desktop chain who want the Pre90, the Ext90 or both with a 25cm cable.
- Skip if
- You want an RCA cable on its own or need gain, impedance and distortion figures.
Why 3.5/5: Held back by two things: the store's own terms contradict each other, and no independent test of this model was checked for this review, so every spec figure comes from the store alone.
This TOPPING listing carries the title PRE90+ Ext90+ RCA cable, yet its text describes the Pre90 pre-amplifier and the Ext90 input signal extender, which it says pair with the existing Topping A90 and D90 desktop chain. It starts at $249.99 for the Ext90. The text gives the Pre90 a noise floor of less than 0.3uVrms, a dynamic range of up to 145dB and a remote control, and names a 25cm SKW BG04 6N OCC cable as a gift.

Options and pricing
Colors are black and Silver, priced the same. By size, Pre90 is $599.99, Ext90 is $249.99, and Pre90 + Ext90 + SKW RCA BG04 25cm cable is $849.98, all orderable when read. The from-price of $249.99 is the Ext90 alone. The cable appears only in the third option name and in a Cable gift line, and the text does not say whether the single-unit options include it.
How it compares
For price context, the Ext90 alone is $249.99 here, the SKW WG20-05 Speaker Cables With Banana Plug start at $239.99 and the QULOOS LPS-12i Linear Power Supply is $279. Those two are a speaker cable and a power supply, so they do different jobs from a pre-amplifier or input extender. This listing suits a Topping desktop chain, as its text describes.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- The text gives the Pre90 a noise floor of less than 0.3uVrms and a dynamic range of up to 145dB, as the page's figures
- Input counts are stated: one RCA and one XLR on the Pre90, up to two RCA and four XLR with the Ext90
- A volume relay with about 0.5dB steps and an included remote control are listed
- Three purchasable combinations are priced: Pre90, Ext90, or both with a 25cm SKW BG04 cable
Worth noting
- The store title says RCA cable while the text describes a pre-amplifier and an input extender
- The text gives no input impedance, gain or distortion figure
- The page text calls the 25cm cable a gift but does not say which options include it
- Hi-res audio certified is listed in the text without naming a certifier or any sample rate
- The noise floor and dynamic range figures come with no test condition in the text, and no independent test of the Pre90 was checked for this review
Questions before you buy
Is this an RCA cable?
The store title says RCA cable, but the page text describes the Pre90 pre-amplifier and the Ext90 input signal extender. A 25cm SKW BG04 6N OCC cable appears in a Cable gift line and in the third option name.
How many inputs does it list?
The text says the Pre90 has one single-ended RCA and one balanced XLR input, and that with the Ext90 it can be connected with up to two RCA inputs and four XLR inputs. The feature list says six-way input selection with the Ext90.
What do the options cost?
In black or Silver, Pre90 is $599.99 and Ext90 is $249.99, and Pre90 + Ext90 + SKW RCA BG04 25cm cable is $849.98, all orderable when read.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The store title reads RCA cable, yet the page text describes a pre-amplifier and an input extender; the cable appears only in a Cable gift line and the third option name, and the text does not say which options include it.
- The text claims a noise floor of less than 0.3uVrms, a dynamic range of up to 145dB, a volume relay with about 0.5dB steps and Hi-res audio certified, with no test condition, load or certifier given in the text.
- The page describes a volume-limit option that can be turned off in the settings menu and says it protects connected equipment from sudden high volumes; these are the page's claims and are not checked here.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
