Our verdict

A fit for buyers who want a 13-driver set made up of balanced armature and bone conduction drivers, with the cable and 4.4mm termination the page lists and named shell materials, at $4,499. Look elsewhere if you need another plug size, a stated connector size or a frequency range for the earphone itself. The main caveat: every figure is the store's own and the Frequency Shift claims are the page's words, with no independent test of this model checked for this review.

Why 3.5/5: Held back because the store's terms contradict each other and because no independent test was checked for this review: the 22Ω and 114dB figures, like the Frequency Shift claims, are the store's own.

Twelve balanced armature drivers and one piezoelectric bone conduction driver, the one the page calls Frequency Shift, sit in each side of the Multiverse Mentor, a Mentor-series model from Unique Melody that HiFiGO lists at $4,499. The specification lines give 22Ω, 114dB and a five-way crossover, and the page text names carbon fiber shells, a PW Audio cable and a 4.4mm termination.

Options and pricing

A single option, labelled UIEM, is listed at $4,499 and was orderable when the page was read; the page text does not explain the label. The stock cable is described as a PW Audio 26AWG four-wire design in copper and silver-plated copper; the page says the pair has standard 2-pin connectors and a 4.4mm termination, and a leather carry case is listed. No other plug option is named in the page text.

How it compares

The Lime Ears ANIMA V2 is $3,750 for 1DD+10BA, a dynamic driver plus ten BA, while the Mentor, at $4,499, lists no dynamic driver in its page text. The Unique Melody Mason FS is the same brand at $5,999, and its spec line gives 13 drivers. The Elysian ANNIHILATOR 2026 is $3,299 as a 7-driver tribrid. Buyers watching the budget start with the Elysian or the ANIMA V2; those who want 13 drivers choose between the Mentor and the Mason FS.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Page lists the balanced armature drivers by band: 4 bass, 2 mids, 2 mid-treble and 4 treble, plus 1 frequency shift bone conduction driver
  • Impedance (22Ω), sensitivity (114dB) and a 5-way crossover are in the specification lines
  • Cable is described by brand, gauge, wire count and metals: PW Audio, 26AWG, 4-wire, copper and silver-plated copper; the page also lists 2-pin connectors and a 4.4mm termination
  • Shell materials are named: carbon fiber shells, 3D-curved Banksia seed faceplates and a ceramic inner frame

Worth noting

  • Sensitivity is written 114dB with no reference level in the page text, and the 22Ω impedance has no stated tolerance
  • The page text gives no frequency-response range for the earphone; the 20Hz-20kHz it mentions is the hearing range it ties to the bone conduction driver
  • Only a 4.4mm termination is mentioned, and the page text does not give the 2-pin connector size
  • The page text gives no weight figure or eartip list

Questions before you buy

What drivers are in each Multiverse Mentor earpiece?

The page lists 13 per side: twelve balanced armature drivers (4 bass, 2 mids, 2 mid-treble, 4 treble) and one frequency shift piezoelectric bone conduction driver, with a five-way crossover.

What does the Frequency Shift technology do, according to the page?

The page says it lowers the device's resonant point to less than 20kHz, which it says improves sensitivity and gives a more natural response. The page text gives no measurement for the claim.

Which cable and plug does it use?

Per the page, a PW Audio 26AWG four-wire stock cable of copper and silver-plated copper; it also says the pair has standard 2-pin connectors and a 4.4mm termination.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The Frequency Shift claims (a resonant point below 20kHz, better sensitivity, a more natural response) and the sound wording (powerful bass, precise midrange, crisp treble) come with no measurement in the page text.
  • The page text gives sensitivity as 114dB without a reference level and impedance as 22Ω without a tolerance, gives no 2-pin size and gives no frequency-response range for the earphone.
  • The page calls the shells aviation-grade carbon fiber and the cable high-purity; the page text names no standard, source or test behind those labels.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
