Douk Audio Headphone Amplifiers Compared: Mini, Balanced, USB DAC, Portable Tube and Tube Preamp Models

Five Douk Audio and Nobsound headphone amps from $39.99 to $219.99: the P10 and E2 come with a power supply, the U5 and Q2PRO packing lists show none, and the store's pages disagree on shipping and warranty.

Updated October 26, 2026 · 5 reviews compared

This page compares five headphone amplifiers sold on doukaudio.com: the Nobsound P10, the Douk Audio U5, the Douk Audio Q2PRO, the Nobsound P10 PRO and the Douk Audio E2. They are a mini amp, a balanced amp, a USB DAC (a digital-to-analog converter) with a mic input, a battery-powered tube amp and a tube amp with a preamp section, and they cost $39.99 to $219.99, as priced on October 26, 2026. Nobsound and Douk Audio are both names listed on the same store, doukaudio.com, whose terms name its seller as Shenzhen Anba Technology Co., Ltd (Shenzhen, China) and HONGKONG LONGSHENG Import and Export Trading Co., Limited (Hong Kong). On face4store, 13 reviews from the store are filed under headphone amplifiers; the other eight are the Douk Audio U3 ($36.99), U10 ($49.99), U3 PRO ($54.99), P5 ($79.99 for the aluminum body), U5PRO ($79.99) and Z1 ($219.99), the Nobsound P32 ($46.99) and the Ampapa H1 ($179.99). The U10 and U3 PRO prices apply to the store's US, UK, EU and AU options; its Other option costs more. Every spec figure here is the store's own: we have not listened to, measured or powered up any of these amplifiers.

Four things on a headphone amplifier listing are worth checking before you compare prices. First, what a power figure means: the P10 and U5 pages list minimums at 32Ω in their parameters (1100mW or more and 1400mW or more) but say 'up to' those figures in their feature text; the Q2PRO lists 450mW at 32Ω, the P10 PRO 170mW at 32Ω and the E2 0.55W and 2W without naming a load; and our reviews of the P10, U5, E2 and P10 PRO each note that the page states no test conditions for the figure, so compare power only at the same load. Second, what the price includes, because the five prices are not like for like: the P10 and E2 come with a power supply, the U5 needs your own DC 5V supply and its page says input over 5V damages it, the Q2PRO's packing list shows no adapter, and the P10 PRO's parameters list two batteries as its power source but its packing list does not name them. Third, the jacks: the U5's only input is stereo XLR, so RCA sources need a converter or adapter, and the E2's three headphone jacks work one at a time. Fourth, the headphone range each page lists: 24-600Ω for the P10, 18-600Ω for the U5, 16-600Ω for the E2, 16-300Ω for the Q2PRO and 16-200Ω for the P10 PRO.

Returns are the part of Douk Audio's terms to read twice, and they are the same for every pick. The return page, read on October 25, 2026, says to ask within 30 days of delivery and wait for approval before sending anything; an approved return has to ship within 7 days. Items need all packaging and accessories and no excessive wear, or the store can refuse them or refund part of the price. Refunds go to the original payment method after inspection, but original and expedited shipping, duties, taxes and customs charges are not refunded unless the law requires it or the store made the error. The return page does not say who pays return postage, and an older refund page still online excludes mistaken orders and change-of-mind returns from free after-sale service.

Shipping and warranty are where the store's pages disagree. The current shipping page says orders are generally processed no later than the next business day and arrive in 2-8 business days, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted otherwise. An older shipping page still online lists airmail at 10-25 days for parcels under 2 kg and DHL, UPS or FedEx at 5-8 days above that, and says the store is not responsible for import duties. The 24-month warranty page covers manufacturing defects with free repair, a replacement unit and free shipping both ways for covered repairs, and excludes drops, liquid, DIY repairs, lightning, extreme temperatures and misuse; the older refund page still says 1 year. Support is by email at [email protected]. Check the delivery estimate and any duties at checkout before you order.

1. Mini desk amp with a power supply in the box

Nobsound P10 Headphone Amplifier and Preamp

A mini headphone amp and preamp at $39.99, with a DC 5V adapter in the box that the page calls 5V/2A. The page lists 1100mW or more at 32Ω for 24-600Ω headphones and two pluggable NE5532 op-amp chips. The RCA and 3.5mm AUX inputs both stay live, so connect one source or the signals mix. The page gives no distortion (THD) figure or test conditions, and does not say whether the 3.5mm jack's preamp level is fixed or follows the volume knob. The U3 ($36.99) lists 1300mW or more at 32Ω but takes an RCA input only, has one 6.35mm output and ships without a power supply.

Best for
Desktop listeners who want one small box to drive both IEMs and hard-to-drive 600-ohm headphones, with a preamp feed for speakers
Skip if
You need balanced XLR or 4.4mm headphone connections, or you plan to run two sources into it at the same time

2. Balanced amp for XLR or 4.4mm headphones

Douk Audio U5 4.4mm Balanced Headphone Amp

At $52.99, a mini amp the page calls fully balanced: stereo XLR in, 4-core XLR or 4.4mm out and a pluggable JRC4580 op-amp. It lists 1400mW or more at 32Ω for 18-600Ω headphones and distortion (THD) of 0.005%, with no stated test conditions, and calls 1400mW a 'total power output' without saying whether that is per channel or for both. The packing list names only a USB-to-DC cable, not a power supply, and the page says input over 5V damages the amp. RCA sources need a converter or adapter. The $52.99 applies to the US, UK, EU and AU options; the Other option is $56.99.

Best for
Owners of XLR or 4.4mm balanced headphones who want a small, affordable balanced desktop amp with op-amp rolling potential
Skip if
Your source only has RCA outputs, or you expect a power adapter in the box — the U5 ships without one and needs strictly 5V DC

3. USB and optical DAC with a mic input

Douk Audio Q2PRO Gaming DAC Headphone Amp

A desktop gaming DAC and headphone amp at $79.99, with a separate mic volume. The page lists 450mW at 32Ω for 16-300Ω headphones and a ±12dB bass control, and gives one PCM maximum, 192kHz/32-bit, without saying whether it applies to USB, optical or both. The packing list shows no power adapter, and the page asks for a 5V/2A adapter on the upper USB port if the source supplies under 2A. The Z1 ($219.99, with a 5V adapter in the box) adds a 4.4mm balanced output and an XLR mic input with 48V phantom power, and lists PCM 48kHz/16-bit over USB and 192kHz/24-bit over optical.

Best for
Gamers and streamers who want one desktop box for DAC, headphone amp, mic input and a USB hub, with serious bass boost on tap
Skip if
You need a balanced 4.4mm or XLR headphone output, or your USB port cannot supply 2A and you would rather not add a 5V adapter

4. Portable tube amp that runs on batteries

Nobsound P10 PRO Portable Tube Headphone Amp

A small battery-powered tube amp (120 x 75 x 18mm, 252g) at $109.99. The parameters list two 14500 batteries (600mAh each) as the power supply, with 8-10 hours that vary with volume and have no test conditions, and USB-C charging; the page does not say whether output changes as they drain. It lists 170mW at 32Ω for 16-200Ω headphones, also without test conditions; the P10, on a 5V adapter, lists 1100mW or more at 32Ω for 24-600Ω. The packing list names cables, rubber bands, a screwdriver and a manual, not the batteries, and the page does not say whether they ship installed.

Best for
Travelers and commuters who want real tube warmth from a battery-powered headphone amp and enjoy swapping tubes and op-amps
Skip if
You need a completely silent power-up every time or only own a fast charger — direct-heated tubes ring briefly and fast chargers can damage the amp

5. Tube amp and preamp with XLR, 4.4mm and 6.35mm

Douk Audio E2 Tube Headphone Amplifier

A tube headphone amp and preamp at $219.99, with a DC 15V adapter in the box. The page names the tube as a German Valvo ECF801 at up to 175V and lists 0.55W on low gain and 2W on high gain without naming a load. The 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm and 6.35mm jacks work one at a time. The maker says the two square WIMA capacitors are used parts from earlier devices, while its features call them German WIMA capacitors. The Ampapa H1 ($179.99, with a power supply in its box too) lists 4W balanced at 32Ω on high gain, but its page title carried a [Pre-Sale] tag on October 25, 2026.

Best for
Headphone listeners who want a rare tube with real power, plus a matching preamp for a speaker system.
Skip if
You plan to use multiple headphone jacks at once, or you dislike the idea of used capacitors in a new unit.

How we compared

We compared these amplifiers from the store's product pages, as summarized in our full review of each, and from Douk Audio's current and older shipping pages, its return and refund pages, its 24-month warranty page and its contact page, all read on October 25, 2026. We have not listened to, measured or powered up these amplifiers: every power, impedance, input and size figure is the listing's own, taken from the store's pages.

Where a listing or the store's own pages disagree, this page says so. The main cases: the current shipping page's 2-8 business days with duties included against an older page's airmail at 10-25 days and no responsibility for import duties; the 24-month warranty against the older refund page's 1 year; the P10 and U5 pages, which list power as a minimum in their parameters but as 'up to' in their feature text; the E2's features, which call its WIMA capacitors German while its 'Warm tips' section calls the two square ones used parts from earlier devices; the Q2PRO's features, which call its NE5532 op-amps pluggable while its 'Warm tips' list one SGM8262 and seven NE5532 with only one pluggable, and its package, listed as shallower than the unit; and the P10 PRO's page, which lists two 14500 batteries as its power source but names none on its packing list. The picks are labeled by need, not ranked against each other; each price comes from the pick's review and was last checked on the date shown beside it.

Questions before you buy

How much power do Douk Audio headphone amplifiers list?

Of the 13 reviewed, twelve list a figure at 32Ω, from 170mW (Nobsound P10 PRO) to 4W balanced on high gain (Ampapa H1): 200mW for the P5, 430mW for the Z1's 4.4mm output, 450mW for the Q2PRO and 1000mW to 1500mW or more for seven mini desk amps (P32, P10, U10, U3, U5, U3 PRO, U5PRO). The E2 lists 0.55W and 2W without naming a load. Nine of the 13 reviews (P10, P32, U3, U5, U5PRO, U10, H1, E2, P10 PRO) note that the page gives no distortion level or test conditions for the power figure, so compare power only at the same load and treat it as the store's claim.

Does a Douk Audio headphone amplifier come with a power supply?

Not always. The packing lists show a power adapter for six of the 13 reviewed (P10, P32, P5, H1, E2, Z1) and none for six (U3, U3 PRO, U5, U5PRO, U10, Q2PRO). The U3 PRO, U5 and U5PRO pages say input over 5V damages them, and the U10 needs a 5V supply of 2A or more. The P10 PRO's parameters list two 600mAh batteries as its power source, charged over USB-C, but its packing list does not name them.

Can a Douk Audio headphone amplifier drive 600 ohm headphones?

Ten of the 13 reviewed list a matching range that reaches 600Ω: the P32 and P10 (24-600Ω), the U3, U3 PRO, U5, U5PRO and U10 (18-600Ω), and the H1, E2 and P5 (16-600Ω). The Q2PRO and Z1 list 16-300Ω and the P10 PRO 16-200Ω. A listed range is the store's matching claim, not a measurement.

Which Douk Audio headphone amplifiers have balanced outputs or a DAC?

Six of the 13 reviewed list a 4.4mm or XLR headphone output: the U5 and U5PRO (XLR and 4.4mm, with an XLR input only), the H1 and E2 (4-pin XLR, 4.4mm and 6.35mm), the P5 (4.4mm and 6.35mm) and the Z1 (4.4mm). Only two of the 13 list a DAC, the Q2PRO and Z1: both list an ESS9039Q2M chip with USB and optical inputs, while the other eleven list analog inputs only.

What are Douk Audio's return terms?

Ask within 30 days of delivery and wait for approval before sending anything; an approved return has to ship within 7 days. Items need all packaging and accessories and no excessive wear, or the store can refuse them or refund part of the price. Original and expedited shipping, duties, taxes and customs charges are not refunded unless the law requires it or the store made the error. The return page does not say who pays return postage, and an older refund page excludes mistaken orders and change-of-mind returns from free after-sale service.

How long does Douk Audio shipping take, and what warranty applies?

The current shipping page says orders are generally processed no later than the next business day and arrive in 2-8 business days, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted; an older page still online says airmail takes 10-25 days for parcels under 2 kg and that the store is not responsible for import duties. The warranty page gives 24 months from purchase for manufacturing defects, with free repair, a replacement unit and free shipping both ways for covered repairs; the older refund page says 1 year.
