Douk Audio Q2PRO Gaming DAC Headphone Amp Review
A gaming-focused USB DAC and headphone amp with ESS9039Q2M conversion, PCM 32-bit/192kHz, a mic input with separate volume, ±12dB bass control and a 450mW headphone output.

Our verdict
The Douk Audio Q2PRO is a compact desk hub for $79.99 that takes gaming audio seriously: ESS9039Q2M conversion with SNR above 117dB, a mic input with its own volume knob, ±12dB bass boost and a clipping indicator, plus a 450mW headphone amp for 16-300 ohm headphones. It doubles as a USB docking station for peripherals. Plan for a 5V/2A adapter if your USB port is weak, and note the 3.5mm single-ended headphone output.
- Best for
- Gamers and streamers who want one desktop box for DAC, headphone amp, mic input and a USB hub, with serious bass boost on tap
- Skip if
- You need a balanced 4.4mm or XLR headphone output, or your USB port cannot supply 2A and you would rather not add a 5V adapter
Why 3.7/5: Lifted by a broad parameter list, a separate mic volume, a 450mW output rated at 32Ω and a clear note on which op-amp is pluggable. Held back by one unsplit sample-rate figure, no power adapter in the box and a single-ended headphone output only.
Weighing it up? Douk Audio Headphone Amplifiers Compared: Mini, Balanced, USB DAC, Portable Tube and Tube Preamp Models
The Douk Audio Q2PRO is a mini stereo gaming DAC and headphone amplifier priced at $79.99. It converts and amplifies digital audio for desktop use, built around the ESS9039Q2M DAC chip, SA9123L USB interface and SGM8262 plus NE5532 op-amps, with PCM decoding up to 32-bit/192kHz and an SNR above 117dB at 0.0009% THD.
The gaming angle is real: a MIC input with separate MIC volume control supports real-time communication during games, meetings and live streams, and the Q2PRO is compatible with PC and PS4. A ±12dB bass control and clipping indicator boost immersion while keeping distortion in check, and PURE mode removes the tone control entirely for pure listening when you switch from games to music.
Its role count is high for the money. Multiple inputs (USB, optical, MIC) and outputs (stereo RCA, optical, 3.5mm headphone) let it act as a USB DAC, headphone amplifier, digital interface or audio preamp, and it also functions as a USB docking station for keyboards, mice and flash drives. The headphone output is rated at 450mW into 32 ohms for 16-300 ohm headphones, the volume and power knob are integrated into one control, and the aluminum alloy CNC-molded body keeps it durable and tidy.
Two practical notes: the USB-C input transmits audio and provides power, but if the supply current is under 2A you should connect a high-quality DC 5V/2A adapter to the upper USB port (DC 5V IN) for ideal performance. And if both microphone jacks are used, the left interface takes priority over the right.

How it compares
At $79.99 the Q2PRO costs $140.00 less than the Douk Audio Z1 ($219.99; its NE5532 options showed Sold out on Oct 25, 2026), the other gaming DAC and headphone amp here. Both list an ESS9039Q2M chip and a mic input. The Z1 page adds a 4.4mm balanced output at 430mW at 32Ω, XLR and 3.5mm mics with 48V phantom power, USB mixing and eight filter modes. The Q2PRO lists one 3.5mm output at 450mW at 32Ω, two mic inputs where only the left one works at a time, ±12dB bass, a PURE mode and PCM up to 192kHz/32-bit; the Z1 lists PCM 48KHz/16Bit over USB.
Without the DAC, mic and USB-hub roles, an analog amp costs less: the Nobsound P10 is $40.00 less at $39.99 and lists 1100mW or more at 32Ω, RCA and 3.5mm inputs, 6.35mm and 3.5mm outputs and a 5V adapter in the box. The Douk Audio U3 PRO is $25.00 less at $54.99 and lists 1500mW or more at 32Ω, with no adapter. Both need a separate DAC. Who it suits: the Q2PRO fits a PC or console desk where one box should handle USB DAC duty, optical in and out, a chat mic and a few USB devices. The P10 and U3 PRO suit a listener who already has a DAC and wants more power.
Shipping, returns and warranty
- Shipping: Douk Audio's current shipping page says orders are generally processed no later than the next business day and arrive in 2-8 business days, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted otherwise.
- Older shipping terms are still online: airmail at 10-25 days for parcels under 2 kg, DHL, UPS or FedEx at 5-8 days above that, and a line saying the store is not responsible for import duties. Check the delivery estimate and any duties at checkout.
- Returns: ask within 30 days of delivery and wait for approval before sending anything; an approved return has to ship within 7 days. Items need all packaging and accessories and no excessive wear, or the store can refuse them or refund part of the price. Refunds go to the original payment method after inspection.
- Not refunded: original and expedited shipping, duties, taxes and customs charges, unless the law requires it or the store made the error. The return page does not say who pays return postage, and the older refund page excludes mistaken orders and change-of-mind returns from free after-sale service.
- Warranty: 24 months from purchase for manufacturing defects, with free repair, a replacement unit and free shipping both ways for covered repairs. Drops, liquid, DIY repairs, lightning, extreme temperatures and misuse are excluded (partial fees may apply), and damage from weak packing on the way back may not be covered. The older refund page still says 1 year.
- Seller: the site is run by Shenzhen Anba Technology Co., Ltd (Shenzhen, China) and HONGKONG LONGSHENG Import and Export Trading Co., Limited (Hong Kong); support is by email at [email protected]. These terms cover orders placed on doukaudio.com; other sellers apply their own.
For this product, the page lists shipping to US, UK, EU, AU and Other (a destination list, with no warehouses named) and shows Free Shipping, 2-8 Days Arrival, 30-Day Return and 2-Year Warranty badges near the price.
What we liked
- A dedicated MIC input with its own volume control makes it a genuine gaming and streaming hub for real-time comms
- Handles the workload of several boxes at once: USB DAC, headphone amplifier, digital interface, audio preamp and even a USB docking station for keyboards, mice and flash drives
- 450mW at 32 ohms drives 16-300 ohm headphones with headroom to spare
- ±12dB bass control and a clipping indicator add punch for games and movies without pushing into distortion
- PURE mode removes the tone control for the cleanest stereo path, and the volume and power knob is combined for simple operation
Worth noting
- If the USB source cannot supply 2A, you need to prepare a high-quality DC 5V/2A adapter for the upper USB port to ensure ideal performance
- Headphone output is a single-ended 3.5mm jack — there is no balanced headphone connection
- When two microphones are connected, the left MIC interface takes priority over the right one, so the two mics are not mixed
Questions before you buy
What does the Q2PRO's MIC input offer?
It supports microphone input with separate MIC volume control, designed for real-time communication in gaming, meetings and live streaming. It has dual MIC inputs, and the left interface takes priority over the right one if both are used.
What headphones can the Q2PRO drive?
With a 450mW output at 32 ohms it drives a wide range of 16-300 ohm headphones. A PURE mode removes the tone control for a cleaner path when listening to high-quality music.
What about power?
The USB-C input transmits audio and powers the unit; if the supply current is less than 2A, connect a high-quality DC 5V/2A adapter to the upper USB interface (DC 5V IN) to ensure ideal performance.
What are the shipping and warranty terms?
Douk Audio ships to nearly 200 countries from several warehouses; its shipping page lists 2-8 business days for delivery, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted. Its warranty page covers manufacturing defects for 24 months from purchase.

What we couldn’t verify
- Sample rate: the page gives one maximum, 'up to PCM 192KHz/32Bit', and does not say whether it applies to USB, optical or both.
- THD+N 0.0009% and SNR of at least 117dB have no test conditions; the page prints '0.0009%' and '≥117dB' in the Parameters but '<0.0009%' and '>117dB' in its gaming text.
- Op-amps: the features say 'Pluggable NE5532, tailoring your own sound', while the Warm tips say the unit uses 1 SGM8262 and 7 NE5532 op-amps and only one is pluggable.
- Size: the page lists the unit at 195 x 160 x 70mm and the package at 195 x 155 x 70mm, a box shallower than the unit, so check the size before fitting a shelf.
- Power: the Warm tips say to add a DC 5V/2A adapter to the upper USB port if the source supplies less than 2A, but the packing list shows no adapter.
