AFUL DAWN-X 14-Driver IEMs Review
A 14-driver-per-side in-ear monitor with one dynamic, eight balanced armature, four electrostatic and one bone conduction driver per the page, listed at $1,299.99 with a 3.5mm or 4.4mm plug option. It suits buyers who want a 0.78mm 2-pin cable and a six-way crossover.

Our verdict
Suits buyers who want a multi-driver IEM with a choice of 3.5mm or 4.4mm plug. Look elsewhere if you want a sensitivity figure with a stated basis or a weight. No independent test was checked for this review: every figure here is the store's own; the page text names no party or method for its third-party curve line, and the sound and tuning words are claims, not measurements.

Why 3.5/5: Two things hold it back: the store's own terms contradict each other, and no independent test of the DAWN-X was checked for this review.
The AFUL DAWN-X carries 14 drivers per side according to HiFiGO's page: one dynamic, eight balanced armature, four electrostatic and one bone conduction unit, divided by a six-way electronic and six-way physical crossover. The page lists 15Ω±13%, 101dB@1kHz and 5Hz~35kHz, and the price is $1,299.99 for either the 3.5mm or the 4.4mm option.

Options and pricing
Two options are listed at the same $1,299.99, both orderable when the page was read: DAWN-X 3.5mm and DAWN-X 4.4mm. Their names differ only in the plug size; the page text gives no other difference. The cable paragraph on the page names a 4.4mm balanced termination plug, while the spec section says 3.5mm or 4.4mm plugs. The page names 0.78mm 2-pin connectors and a 6N single-crystal copper cable, and its text gives no ear-tip, case or box list.
How it compares
The HiBy Zeta is listed at $1,199 and its spec names a 10mm liquid silicone surround dynamic driver. The FiiO FX17 is $1,499.99 with 1DD+4BA+8EST on each side, against $1,299.99 and 1DD+8BA+4EST+1BCD here. The SeeAudio KAGUYA II is $1,599 with 1DD+4BA+2BCD+2EST on each side. Pick the DAWN-X for 8BA and the plug choice listed here; the FX17 lists 8EST against 4EST here.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- The page lists 14 drivers per side in four types, with a six-way electronic and six-way physical crossover
- Two plug options, 3.5mm and 4.4mm, at the same price
- The page lists impedance, sensitivity and frequency range, and names 0.78mm 2-pin connectors
- A 6N single-crystal copper cable is named, with 8-strand 3D braiding
Worth noting
- The page text gives no dB/mW or dB/Vrms basis for the 101dB@1kHz sensitivity
- The page carries a general note that a gentle electrical hum or soft hiss may be heard with electrostatic, piezoelectric or bone conduction drivers
- The cable text names a 4.4mm plug while a 3.5mm option exists; the page text does not explain the match
- The page text gives no weight figure and no list of what is in the box

What we couldn’t verify
- The page carries a line saying its curve is measured by a third party and is for reference only; the page text names neither the party nor the method.
- The features call it an efficient, easy to drive design, but the page text gives no source or output power requirement, and sensitivity is written 101dB@1kHz with no reference level.
- The page says AFUL tuned it for a powerful, punchy sound; the store's tags label it bassy, bright, warm, neutral and mid-forward at once, and the page text names no tuning target.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
