DUNU Lyre Mini Earphone Cable Review

An earphone cable from DUNU, listed at $29.99 in MMCX or 0.78 2-pin form. A pictured spec table gives a 1.2m ± 0.1m length, a 240-strand High Purity OCC Copper core in Litz Type 1 and the Q-Lock Mini interchangeable plug system, with 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs named in the pictures.

Our verdict

Suited to buyers who want a 1.2m, 240-strand cable at $29.99 and are willing to rely on specifications read from pictures, with the Q-Lock Mini plug modules available apart. Look elsewhere if you need an in-the-box list, which the pictures read do not give, or specifications given as page text. The main caveat is that the pictures use both OCC and single crystal copper wording and do not say which plug each cable option includes.

Why 3.3/5: Held back because its specifications sit in pictures instead of a text list, because the store's own terms contradict each other, and because no independent test of this model was checked for this review.

DUNU's Lyre Mini is an earphone cable that a pictured spec table gives as 1.2m ± 0.1m long, in High Purity OCC Copper with a 240 Strands Conductor Core, Litz Type 1 structure and 24AWG gauge. The pictures name the Q-Lock Mini interchangeable plug system, and the cable comes in MMCX or 0.78 2-pin versions at $29.99, with 3.5mm, 4.4mm and Type C plug modules sold alone at $9.99 each. The page text is only a short compatibility note; the specification figures come from its pictures.

Options and pricing

Five options are listed. Lyre Mini-MMCX and Lyre Mini-2-Pin(0.78mm) are $29.99 each and are the two that include the cable. Q-Lock Mini Modular Plug 3.5mm, 4.4mm and Type C are $9.99 each and are plugs sold alone, so $9.99 is not the cable's price. A picture says the Lyre Mini comes with complimentary 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs, but the pictures read give no in-the-box list and do not say which plug each $29.99 option includes.

How it compares

The TRN T2 Pro 16 Core Silver Plated Earphone Cable starts at $15.80 and names 16 Core Silver Plated in its title, while the JUZEAR Flare 6N SPOCC+SCCW Hybrid Defiant Original Earphone Cable is $39.99 and names 6N SPOCC+SCCW. This DUNU sits between them at $29.99, its title naming a 240-Strand High-Purity OCC cable, with plug modules sold apart. It suits buyers who want the Q-Lock Mini plug system named in its pictures; the TRN suits the tightest budget.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

Cables and adapters get three months of warranty from the order date, against one year for DACs, amps and IEMs; a note on the same page also excludes cables from returns for hygiene reasons, while the FAQ says a cable can come back in its original condition. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement and the buyer pays the shipping. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • A pictured spec table gives 1.2m ± 0.1m length, 24AWG gauge and a 240 Strands Conductor Core
  • MMCX and 0.78 2-pin connector options at the same $29.99
  • Q-Lock Mini plug modules in 3.5mm, 4.4mm and Type C are sold alone at $9.99 each
  • A pictured user guide explains how to lock and unlock the plug and cable ends

Worth noting

  • The page text is only a compatibility note; the specifications exist only in pictures, and only six pictures were read for this review
  • The pictures read give no in-the-box list, and do not say which plug each $29.99 option includes
  • The pictures call the conductor OCC copper in two places and single crystal copper in a third

What we couldn’t verify

  • The pictures give 'High Purity OCC Copper' in two places and 'high-purity single crystal copper' in a third; the 240-strand figure is the same in all three.
  • A picture says the Lyre Mini comes with complimentary 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs, yet Q-Lock Mini plugs are also listed at $9.99; the pictures read give no in-the-box list and do not say which plug each $29.99 option includes.
  • Claims in the pictures (lower resistance and transmission loss from a larger conductor area, sound enhancement, compatibility with mainstream portable devices) are wording only and were not checked.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
  • HiFiGO's warranty page excludes cables from returns for hygiene reasons, while its FAQ says a cable can come back in its original condition.
