TRN T2 Pro 16 Core Earphone Cable Review
A 16 Core silver plated earphone cable from TRN, listed from $15.80 with 2.5mm, 3.5mm or 4.4mm plugs and MMCX, 0.78 2Pin, 0.75 2Pin or 2Pin S connectors. It suits buyers who already know their earphones' connector; the page text gives no cable length.

Our verdict
A fit for buyers who already know their earphones' connector and want a 16 Core silver plated cable with a plug choice, from $15.80. Look elsewhere if you need a length, wire gauge or strand count, which the page text does not give, or a listing whose colors and options match each other. The main caveat is that the description is pictures not read for this review, so the page text leaves several details open, and every figure is the store's own.
- Best for
- Buyers who need a 2.5mm, 3.5mm or 4.4mm plug on an MMCX, 0.78mm or 0.75mm connector cable.
- Skip if
- You need a cable length, wire gauge or strand count, which the page text does not give.
Why 3.5/5: Held back by the store's own terms contradicting each other, and by figures that are the store's own with no independent test of this model checked for this review.
TRN's 16 Core silver plated cable is listed on HiFiGO's page from $15.80, in Black or Grey. The spec section gives its material as 16 Core High Purity Copper, with 3.5mm, 2.5mm or 4.4mm straight plugs and an MMCX, 0.78mm, 0.75mm or 2PIN interface. The page text gives no length, gauge or strand count, and its item list covers the cable only, without earphone or case.

Options and pricing
The page offers three option groups: plug (2.5MM, 3.5MM, 4.4MM, or 2.5MM + 3.5MM + 4.4MM), connector (0.78 2Pin, MMCX, 0.75 2Pin, 2Pin S) and color (Black, Grey). In the options shown, 2.5MM and 3.5MM are $15.80 and 4.4MM is $16.80 in Black, and Grey 2.5MM is $15.80. None of the options shown uses the combined three-plug choice, so its price is not visible here; 18 more options are not shown. One of those was listed as not orderable when the page was read.
How it compares
The DUNU Lyre Mini 240-Strand High-Purity OCC Earphone Cable with Q-Lock Mini is $29.99 and its title names a 240-Strand High-Purity OCC cable. The JUZEAR Flare 6N SPOCC+SCCW Hybrid Defiant Original Earphone Cable is $39.99 and its title names 6N SPOCC+SCCW. This TRN starts at $15.80 and puts the connector and plug choice in one listing, so it suits a buyer matching an existing earphone.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
Cables and adapters get three months of warranty from the order date, against one year for DACs, amps and IEMs; a note on the same page also excludes cables from returns for hygiene reasons, while the FAQ says a cable can come back in its original condition. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement and the buyer pays the shipping. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Plug choice of 2.5MM, 3.5MM or 4.4MM, plus an option that names all three
- Four connector options: 0.78 2Pin, MMCX, 0.75 2Pin and 2Pin S
- The page gives its material as 16 Core High Purity Copper and names it a silver plated cable
- The spec section lists earphone models under MMCX, 0.78mm 2Pin and QDC 2Pin headings
- Options shown start at $15.80
Worth noting
- The page text gives no cable length, wire gauge or strand count, and its description is 11 pictures that were not read for this review
- The spec section lists Grey/Brown/Black, but the options name only Black and Grey
- The page text does not explain the 2Pin S option or how the 2.5MM + 3.5MM + 4.4MM option is built
- The store title says T2 Pro, while the spec section names the product TRN 16 Core Silver Plated Cable
