DUNU DK3001BD Limited Edition IEMs Review
A limited-run hybrid IEM from DUNU and Effect Audio, listed at $749.99: one 10mm biocellulose dynamic driver, four balanced armatures and four micro planar drivers per the page, with an Effect Audio Cadmus II cable and a 4.4mm plug. The page text gives no impedance or sensitivity.

Our verdict
A fit for buyers who want the DK3001BD driver set in a limited edition with Effect Audio's Cadmus II cable and a 4.4mm plug. Look elsewhere if you need an impedance, sensitivity or frequency response, a plug other than 4.4mm, or figures from someone other than the store. The main caveat is that the page text carries no specification figures, so the sound-change claims against the standard model have no measurement behind them in the page text.
- Best for
- Buyers who want a limited-edition nine-driver hybrid with an Effect Audio cable and a 4.4mm plug.
- Skip if
- You need impedance, sensitivity or a plug other than 4.4mm stated in the page text.
Why 3.4/5: Held back because the page text has no specification list, because the store's own terms contradict each other, and because no independent test of this model was checked for this review.
Only 300 units are made worldwide, according to the page, and the DUNU x Effect Audio DK3001BD is an edition of the DK3001 that the page calls the first collaboration between the two brands; HiFiGO lists it at $749.99. It keeps a nine-driver setup per side: a 10mm biocellulose dynamic driver, four balanced armatures and four micro planar drivers. The page text gives no impedance, sensitivity or frequency response figure, and the stock cable is Effect Audio's Cadmus II with a 4.4mm plug.

Options and pricing
One option is listed, named DK3001BD Limited Edition, at $749.99 and orderable when the page was read. The page says each set comes with Effect Audio's Cadmus II cable, a 26AWG 8-core UP-OCC silver-plated copper design with the ConX interchangeable connector system and a 4.4mm balanced termination plug. The page text names no other plug, adapter or case, and gives no connector type beyond the ConX system name.
How it compares
The Unique Melody Stardust is $799 and its name counts 2DD + 4BA hybrid drivers. The Open Audio Alkaid 8 BA is $826.32, and its spec line says it comes with 3.5mm, 2.5mm or 4.4mm termination options chosen when purchasing, where this page names only a 4.4mm plug. Priced at $669, the Softears RSV-MK2 has 5BA drivers in its name. Choose the limited edition for the nine-driver count and the Effect Audio cable; choose the Alkaid if plug choice matters more.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Nine drivers per side are itemized by type: one 10mm biocellulose dynamic driver, four balanced armatures and four micro planar drivers
- The stock cable is named and described: Effect Audio Cadmus II, 26AWG 8-core UP-OCC silver-plated copper
- The edition size is stated: 300 units worldwide
- The page says the look differs from the standard DK3001BD only by a gold-colored nozzle
Worth noting
- The page text gives no impedance, sensitivity, frequency response, distortion or weight figure
- Only a 4.4mm termination plug is named; the page text names no other plug or adapter
- The page text gives no connector type beyond the ConX system name
- The sound comparison with the standard DK3001BD (more body in the bass, a warmer character) is the page's own, with no measurement in the page text
Questions before you buy
How many drivers does the DUNU x Effect Audio DK3001BD have?
The page lists one 10mm biocellulose dynamic driver, four customized balanced armature drivers and four micro planar drivers on each side, which it calls a nine-driver hybrid. It says the driver setup is the same as the standard DK3001BD.
What cable and plug come with the limited edition?
The page says it comes with Effect Audio's Cadmus II cable: 26AWG 8-core high-purity UP-OCC silver-plated copper in a Litz structure, with EA UltraFlexi ultra-soft insulation, the ConX interchangeable connector system and a 4.4mm balanced termination plug.
What changed from the standard DK3001BD?
The page says the edition has a new air damping system and a refined dual four-way crossover, along with a different tuning, the Cadmus II cable and a gold-colored nozzle, and that only 300 units are made available worldwide. These are the page's claims; the page text gives no measurement.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The page text gives no impedance, sensitivity, frequency response, distortion or weight figure, so none of the sound claims can be tied to a number.
- The page says the edition has more body in the bass and a warmer character than the standard model, and the store tags it Mild V-Shaped Tuning and Warm Sound; these are claims, with no measurement in the page text.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
