Our verdict

A fit for buyers who want a two-layer case with a cable layer and compartments for tips, ConX interchangeable pins and tools, at the 9.8 cm outer diameter and 5.6 cm overall height the page lists. Look elsewhere if you need a stated material or weight, or a case named for a specific player. The page says the ear tips, pins and tools are not included; no independent test of this model was among the sources checked for this review.

Why 3.4/5: Held back by a short page text with its pictures unread for this review, by the store's own terms contradicting each other, and by no independent test of this model having been checked for this review.

Built around a dual-layer internal structure, Effect Audio's Solo Carrying Case is listed at $39. The page text gives the upper layer to cable storage and the lower layer to divided compartments for eartips, ConX interchangeable pins and replacement tools. The specification section lists a 9.8 cm outer diameter and a 5.6 cm overall height, and the page text says the ear tips, pins and tools are not included.

Options and pricing

Solo Carrying Case is the only option, at $39, and it was orderable when the page was read. The page text gives no color or material for it, and its note says the ear tips, pins and tools are not included, so the case is listed on its own.

How it compares

The Moondrop Dream Inbag Protective Case for Discdream 2 Series costs $29.99 against $39 here and is named for the Discdream 2 series, while the Solo's name and page text name no particular player. The Pentaconn Coreir Brass Metal Core Eartips For 4.5-5.5mm Nozzle are $49 and are eartips, the kind of item the Solo has a compartment for but does not include. The Solo suits a buyer who wants one case for cables, tips and pins; the Inbag suits an owner of the player it is named for.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty excludes carrying cases, ear tips and other accessories, and a note on its return page excludes ear tips (earplugs) and holsters from returns for hygiene reasons, so treat these as final sales once opened. Questions go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • The page text describes two layers: cable storage above, divided compartments for eartips, ConX interchangeable pins and replacement tools below
  • The specification section gives the outer diameter (9.8 cm), the overall height (5.6 cm) and the size of each internal layer
  • The features list names a cable storage layer, an eartips compartment, a ConX interchangeable pin compartment and a pin replacement tool compartment

Worth noting

  • The page text gives no material, weight or color
  • The ear tips, pins and tools its compartments are meant for are not included, per the page text
  • The page text names no earphone, cable or player it is sized for, and gives no size for the individual compartments in the lower layer

Questions before you buy

What does the Effect Audio Solo Carrying Case hold?

The page text says the upper layer is for cable storage and the lower layer has divided compartments for eartips, ConX interchangeable pins and replacement tools. It adds that ear tips, pins and tools are not included.

How big is the Solo Carrying Case?

The specification section lists an outer diameter of 9.8 cm and an overall height of 5.6 cm. The cable storage layer is 2.8 cm (H) x 8.0 cm diameter and the accessory layer is 1.3 cm (H) x 8.0 cm diameter.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

Is there a warranty on accessories like this?

No. HiFiGO's warranty excludes carrying cases, ear tips and other accessories, and its return page excludes ear tips and holsters for hygiene reasons.

  • The page text gives no material, weight or color, and the page's pictures were not read for this review, so anything that appears only in them is not covered.
