iBasso DX260 Digital Audio Player Review
An Android digital audio player listed at $949 in black or silver, with eight CS43198 DAC chips and 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs. It suits listeners who want a player with a balanced output; the page lists up to 1015mW per channel at 32Ω from the 4.4mm output.

Our verdict
Suited to buyers who want an Android music player with eight CS43198 DAC chips and a 4.4mm balanced output, at $949, with a page figure of up to 1015mW per channel at 32Ω. Look elsewhere if you need a 3.5mm power figure, a memory card slot or named Bluetooth codecs: the page text gives none. Battery life and THD+N figures come with no test conditions, and every spec figure here is the store's own.
- Best for
- Buyers who want an Android music player with a 4.4mm balanced output and eight CS43198 DAC chips.
- Skip if
- You need a stated 3.5mm output power, a memory card slot or a list of Bluetooth codecs.
Why 3.5/5: Held back by the store's own terms that contradict each other and because no independent test was checked for this review: every spec figure is the store's own.

Options and pricing
Two options are listed at $949 each, DX260-Black and DX260-Silver, and both were orderable when the page was read. The page text lists a removable back cover among its features and gives no in-the-box list, so the accessories are not stated.
How it compares
The iBasso DX260MK2 CS43198*8 Digital Audio Player is $999.99 against $949 here, and its spec line names an upgraded SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, where this page lists a Qualcomm 660. The HiBy R6Pro Max Dual ES9039SM Pro Portable Music Player is $999 and its name lists dual ES9039SM Pro chips. The SHANLING M6 Pro 2021 Portable Digital Audio Player is $703.99 and its spec line gives PCM up to 32-Bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD256 natively, the same figures this page lists. The DX260 suits buyers who want eight DAC chips and a 4.4mm output; the M6 Pro suits a lower budget.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Eight CS43198 DAC chips, four per channel, are named in the page text
- Both a 3.5mm single-ended and a 4.4mm balanced headphone output are listed, with up to 1015mW per channel at 32Ω from the 4.4mm output
- The page ties 32-bit/768kHz PCM and Native DSD256 decoding to a dedicated USB processor and gives a separate 24-bit/384kHz SPDIF output rate
- An Android 11 and Mango OS dual system with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is listed
- A 4400mAh battery and a battery life of up to 14 hours are listed
Worth noting
- The 1015mW figure is an 'up to' figure for the 4.4mm output at 32Ω, and the page text gives no power figure for the 3.5mm output
- Battery life of up to 14 hours comes with no stated test conditions
- The page text mentions no memory card slot, so storage rests on the 64GB of internal memory
- The page text names no Bluetooth codecs, only Bluetooth V5.0
- THD+N of -123dB and DNR of 134dB are given without a load, frequency or other measurement conditions
Questions before you buy
How much output power does the DX260 list?
The page lists up to 1015mW per channel at 32Ω through the 4.4mm balanced output. The page text gives no power figure for the 3.5mm output or for other loads.
What sample rates does the DX260 list?
The page ties 32-bit/768kHz PCM and Native DSD256 decoding to a dedicated USB processor, and lists a dedicated SPDIF output port with a 24-bit/384kHz digital signal output. Its feature list also names a coaxial output.
Which operating system does the DX260 run?
The page lists Android 11 and iBasso's own Mango OS, which it calls Linux-based, as a dual system, with a Qualcomm 660 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It says the player bypasses the SRC at the system level.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The page ranks its THD+N and DNR as the top of their class, but THD+N -123dB and DNR 134dB come with no load, frequency or other conditions, and the page text gives no comparison.
- Battery life 'up to 14 hours with a full charge' and the 'up to 1015mW' figure (32Ω, 4.4mm) come with no further test conditions.
- Claims without proof: that it bypasses the SRC at the system level, a 'Lag-free' interface, a 'Crisp Sound Signature' and 'High-Res' Bluetooth V5.0; the page text gives no test or Bluetooth codec list for them.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
