iBasso DX270 R2R Ultra Audio Player Review
An Android player built on an 8-channel, fully differential R2R design that the page describes as a 20bit R2R plus 4bit String DAC, listed at $1,299 in Gray or Silver. Relevant to buyers who want 4.4mm and 3.5mm outputs and a 12V DC power input; the page text gives no output power.

Our verdict
Worth a look for buyers who want an R2R-based Android player with 4.4mm and 3.5mm outputs and a 12V DC input at $1,299. Look elsewhere if you need output power, battery, storage or screen details in text, or numbers someone other than the store has checked. With no specification list as text, those key figures are missing from the page text.
- Best for
- Buyers drawn to an R2R-based player with a 4.4mm balanced output and a 12V DC input.
- Skip if
- You need output power, battery life or storage figures in the page text.
Why 3.4/5: Held back by the page giving no specification list as text, by contradictory store terms, and by the fact that every figure is the store's own and no independent test was checked for this review.
iBasso's DX270 R2R Ultra puts an eight-channel, fully differential R2R design in an Android player, which the page describes as a 20bit R2R plus 4bit String DAC hybrid under FPGA-Master 3.0 control. It is listed at $1,299 in Gray or Silver. The page has no specification list as text, so the 130dB dynamic range and the THD+N figure of better than -97dB come from its marketing paragraphs.

Options and pricing
Two colors are listed, DX270 R2R Ultra Gray and DX270 R2R Ultra Silver, each at $1,299, and both showed as orderable at the read date. The page's box list names the player, a USB-C cable, a coaxial cable, a burn-in cable, a leather protective case, a 12V AC adapter, a screen protector and a quickstart guide. No accessory is sold as a separate option.
How it compares
The iBasso DX260MK2 costs $999.99 with CS43198*8 in its title, where the DX270 page describes an R2R design at $1,299. The Cayin N6iii is also $1,299, with a 4.97-inch display in its spec line. The FiiO M17 costs $1,799.99 with dual ES9038Pro DAC chips. The DX270 suits buyers drawn to R2R decoding and a 12V DC input, but its page text gives no output power figure.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- 8-channel, fully differential R2R design with a 20bit R2R + 4bit String DAC hybrid, per the page
- FPGA-Master 3.0 with NOS mode and four in-house digital filters listed
- 4.4mm BAL and 3.5mm SE outputs, plus a 12V DC external power input
- Page gives dynamic range (130dB), THD+N (better than -97dB) and zero-crossing (-120dB) figures
- Box list names a leather case, coaxial cable, burn-in cable and 12V AC adapter
Worth noting
- No specification list as text, so output power, impedance, battery, storage, RAM, screen size and weight are all missing from the page text
- The page text gives no load, level or test conditions for the 130dB, -97dB and -120dB figures
- The page text gives no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi specifications
Questions before you buy

The page describes an 8-channel, fully differential R2R design using a hybrid 20bit R2R + 4bit String DAC, controlled by FPGA-Master 3.0 and built with 344 high-precision resistors.
Which outputs and power input does it list?
4.4mm BAL and 3.5mm SE outputs, and support for a 12V DC external power input. The box list also names a coaxial cable.
Which operating system does it run?
The page lists Android 13, which bypasses SRC at the system level, and Mango OS, a Linux-based music system, on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The page text gives no output power, impedance, battery, RAM, storage, screen size or weight, in a specification section or elsewhere in its text.
- The page text gives no load or test conditions for the 130dB dynamic range, THD+N better than -97dB and -120dB zero-crossing figures; it ranks the 130dB figure against the whole industry.
- Sound claims such as a 'night-black' background and a natural, realistic presentation are the page's wording; no independent test was checked for this review.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
