Luxury & Precision W2 USB DAC/Amp Review
A portable USB DAC and headphone amp with two CS43198 chips, 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm single-ended headphone outputs and a 3.5mm SPDIF output, listed at $269.99. It suits buyers who want a digital output beside the headphone jacks, though the page text gives no sample rates.

Our verdict
A fit for buyers who want two CS43198 chips with 4.4mm balanced, 3.5mm single-ended and 3.5mm SPDIF outputs in a portable unit. Look elsewhere if you need sample rates, dimensions or per-port power figures, because the page text gives none of them. The main caveat is that the 230mW @ 32ohms rating covers both ports with no distortion figure, and every figure is the store's own.
- Best for
- Buyers who want a portable DAC and amp with two CS43198 chips plus a 3.5mm SPDIF output next to 4.4mm and 3.5mm headphone jacks.
- Skip if
- You need sample rates, dimensions or a separate power figure for each headphone port, as the page text gives none of these.
Why 3.4/5: Three things hold it back: the page text gives no specification list as text, the store's own terms contradict each other, and no independent test was checked for this review: every figure is the store's own.
The W2 from Luxury & Precision is a portable USB DAC and headphone amp with two CS43198 chips, listed by HiFiGO at $269.99. The page lists a 4.4mm balanced and a 3.5mm single-ended headphone output, a 3.5mm SPDIF output and a rating of up to 230mW @ 32ohms. It also mentions an FPGA chip, an MCU chip and an amplification chip without naming their models, and the page text gives no sample rates, dimensions or weight.

Options and pricing
A single option, Default Title, is listed at $269.99, and the page shows a crossed-out price of $309.99 next to it. It was orderable when the page was read. The page text lists no color choice, no cable and no in-the-box contents, so what comes with the W2 is not stated.
How it compares
The IBasso Nunchaku Dual CS43198 USB DAC & Tube AMP is $299 and names dual CS43198 chips and a tube amp, against $269.99 for the W2. The xDuoo XD05 Plus2 Portable High-Fidelity DAC & Headphone AMP is $269 and its spec line names an AK4493SEQ DAC chipset. The FiiO QX13 ES9027SPRO Portable DAC & AMP starts at $219.99. The W2 page lists a 3.5mm SPDIF output; check each sibling's page for its own outputs.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Two CS43198 DAC chips are named in the page's feature list
- Three outputs listed: 4.4mm balanced, 3.5mm single-ended and 3.5mm SPDIF
- A power rating given with a load: up to 230mW @ 32ohms
- The page says a separate power supply serves the USB and DAC chips, which take very low power from the source device
Worth noting
- The 230mW @ 32ohms rating covers both headphone ports, with no separate figure for each and no distortion condition
- No specification list as text, and the page text gives no sample rates, dimensions or weight
- The FPGA, MCU and amplification chips are not named by model
- The page text claims it is the only USB DAC/AMP so far with an SPDIF output and gives no source
Questions before you buy
What outputs does the W2 list?
A 4.4mm balanced headphone output, a 3.5mm single-ended headphone output and a 3.5mm SPDIF output, per the page.
How much power does the W2 list?
Up to 230mW @ 32 Ohms, given once for its two headphone ports. The page text gives no separate figure for each port and no other load.
Which DAC chips does it use?
Two CS43198 chips (2xCS43198 in the feature list). The page also mentions a high-gate-count FPGA chip, a low-power MCU chip and a dual amplification chip without model names.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The 230mW @ 32 Ohms rating is given once for both headphone ports, with no separate figure per port, no distortion level and no other load.
- The page says it is the only USB DAC/AMP so far with an SPDIF output and describes distortion-free, lossless and high-resolution results; the page text gives no data, source or sample rates for any of this.
- The page text names no models for the FPGA, MCU and amplification chips, and its descriptions of how the W2 sounds are the page's own words, not measurements.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
