NS Audio NS2 Pro Composer IEMs Review
A balanced armature in-ear monitor listed as 2BA in the store title, at $299 in white or black with a 40ohm or 64ohm version. The page lists 110dB@1K Hz sensitivity and a 3.5mm plug; it suits buyers who want an impedance choice.

Our verdict
The NS2 Pro Composer is for buyers who want a balanced armature in-ear monitor with a choice of 40ohm or 64ohm and two colors at $299. Look elsewhere if you need a named connector type for the cable the store title calls detachable, a weight, or a driver count stated per side. The sound and tuning wording is the page's own, and no independent test was checked for this review, which leaves each spec figure resting on the store's page.
- Best for
- Shoppers who want a balanced armature IEM with a 40ohm or 64ohm choice.
- Skip if
- You need a named connector type, a weight or a per-side driver count.
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a spec section that lists driver, impedance versions, sensitivity and distortion in the page text; held back by contradictions in the store's own terms and by no independent test being checked for this review.
The NS2 Pro Composer is a balanced armature in-ear monitor from NS Audio; the store title says 2BA and detachable, and the spec section lists a dual balanced armature driver. The page gives 40/64Ω impedance, 110dB@1K Hz sensitivity and a 10-30000 Hz range, and describes it as an upgrade of the original composite double-BA driver. It costs $299 in white or black, as a 40ohm or 64ohm version.

Options and pricing
Four options are listed, all $299 and all orderable when the page was read: White 40ohm, Black 40ohm, White 64ohm and Black 64ohm. The choice is therefore color and impedance version rather than plug; the page lists a 3.5mm plug. The page's package list names the NS2 Pro earphone, 12 pairs of silicone Eartips, 1 pair of double-flange silicone eartips and a carry box.
How it compares
The SIVGA Nightingale 14.5mm Planar Driver Wired HiFi IEMs cost $279, the DUNU x Gizaudio DaVinci 2DD+4BA Hybrid In-Ear Earphones cost $290.99 with a 2DD+4BA setup per side, and the Softears VolumeS 2DD +2BA Hybrid Drivers IEMs cost $309, against $299 here for a balanced armature design. The NS2 Pro suits buyers who want to pick between a 40ohm and a 64ohm version; the others suit buyers who prefer a planar or hybrid layout at a similar price.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- The spec section lists the driver, impedance (40/64Ω), sensitivity (110dB@1K Hz), frequency response (10-30000 Hz) and distortion.
- A choice of 40ohm or 64ohm versions, in white or black, all at $299.
- The page's package list names 12 pairs of silicone Eartips, 1 pair of double-flange silicone eartips and a carry box.
- The store title calls it detachable, and the page gives a 1.2M cable length.
- The distortion figure comes with a frequency band: THD below 0.5% (@100-10Khz).
Worth noting
- The page text gives no connector type for the cable the store title calls detachable, such as 2-pin or MMCX.
- The page description lists Resistance: 40Ω only, while the spec section gives 40/64Ω and the options include 64ohm versions; only one sensitivity figure is given, with no note on which version.
- The page text does not say whether the dual balanced armature driver is per side or in total.
- No weight figure appears in the page text.

The options are named 40ohm and 64ohm, each in white or black at $299. The spec section lists Impedance: 40/64Ω and Sensitivity: 110dB@1K Hz, while the page description lists only Resistance: 40Ω and Sensitivity: 110dB.
What plug and cable does it have?
The page lists a 3.5mm plug and a 1.2M cable length, and describes the wire as 8 cores silver-plated with copper mixed braided cable. The store title says Detachable, but the page text does not name the connector type.

What we couldn’t verify
- The page description lists Resistance: 40Ω and Brand Name: PENON, while the options include 64ohm versions and the store title and vendor field say NS Audio. Only one sensitivity figure, 110dB@1K Hz, is given, with no note on which impedance version it describes.
- Claims with no figures or tests behind them: tuning completed by a named composer, higher transparency, a lower impedance that is easier to push (no earlier-model figure is given), sound isolation, and a shell thickness reduced by about 2MM.
- The spec section gives the driver as Dual Balanced Armature Driver and the store title says 2BA; neither says whether that is per side or in total, and the page text gives no connector type for the cable the store title calls detachable.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
