QULOOS QA860 Player, DAC and Headphone Amp Review
A digital music player, DAC and headphone amplifier in one unit, listed at $936 with a crossed-out $1,040. The page lists an AD1955 DAC, WAV playback up to 24 Bit/ 192KHz, DSD64 files and two 6.35 headphone ports. It suits buyers who want an SD-card player and DAC with RCA and XLR outputs.

Our verdict
A fit for buyers who want a player, DAC and headphone amplifier in one unit with SD-card playback, coaxial and fiber digital connections, and RCA and XLR analog outputs, as the page lists them. Look elsewhere if you want Bluetooth or WIFI (both listed as No) or volume control on DSD files through the pre-amp function. All spec figures here are the page's own, and its amplifier loads are written as "Europe".
- Best for
- Anyone who wants an SD-card player, DAC and headphone amp with coaxial and fiber digital connections in one unit.
- Skip if
- You want Bluetooth, WIFI or volume control on DSD files through the pre-amp function.
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a list of specification figures in the page text; held back by the store's own terms contradicting each other and by no independent test of this model being checked for this review: every spec figure is the store's own.
On the page, the QLS QA860 is a digital player, DAC and headphone amplifier in one unit, made by QULOOS and listed at $936. Options and pricing
Silver and Black are each $936 and both orderable when the page was read, and the page shows a crossed-out price of $1,040 next to $936. The option names are the colors themselves. The page lists an AC input switch for 100-120V or 220V-240V and adds "ordering no description always switch to AC 220V-240V position". A remote control (237x48x22mm, 135g without batteries) appears in its technical parameters.
How it compares
Against the TOPPING D90III Sabre at $899, the QA860 is $936 and its page lists Bluetooth as No, while the TOPPING's name lists Bluetooth 5.1 and its spec line gives Dual ESS9039SPro DACs, so Bluetooth buyers should start with the TOPPING. The xDuoo DP10 / DP-10 Portable Streaming Player is $999 and is named a portable streaming player; the QA860 page lists an AC input and a host weight of 5KG. The QA860 suits buyers who want SD-card playback in the same unit as the DAC and the two 6.35 headphone ports.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- The page text gives a list of specification figures: output levels of 2.44V RMS unbalanced and 4.88V RMS balanced, frequency response 0-50k Hz, SNR 120dB and distortion 0.0007%
- Amp output power is listed at five loads, from 32 Europe: 2W to 600 Europe: 120mw, in the page's wording
- Plays WAV up to 24 Bit/ 192KHz and DSD64 (DIFF and DSF) from SD, SDHC and SDXC cards, maximum 128GB SDXC, per the page
- Coaxial and fiber digital inputs (up to 24bit 192 KHz) and outputs, so the page says it can serve as a DAC or as a digital source
- RCA unbalanced and XLR balanced analog outputs plus two 6.35 headphone ports
- AC input with a voltage selector switch for 100-120V or 220V-240V
Worth noting
- In DSD mode the page says the analog output is fixed level, so the pre-amp volume control does not work on DSD files; it suggests converting them to WAV
- Amp power loads are written as "Europe" rather than ohms, and the power line does not name which of the two 6.35 ports it covers
- The interface list shows a USB input marked "(cpl, no function)"
- Bluetooth and WIFI are both listed as No, so there is no wireless input per the page
- The largest SD card listed is 128GB SDXC; a larger card is tied to a future software upgrade
- SNR, dynamic range, separation and distortion figures are listed without test conditions
Questions before you buy
Can the QA860 work as a DAC for other sources?
The page lists coaxial and optical (fiber) digital inputs, up to 24bit 192 KHz, and says they let it be used independently as a DAC. It also lists coaxial and fiber digital outputs and says they let it be used independently as a digital turntable.
What headphone power does the page list?
The parameter list gives amp maximum output power as 600 Europe: 120mw, 300 Europe: 250mW, 150 Europe: 550mW, 64 Europe: 1.2W and 32 Europe: 2W. The power line writes the loads as Europe, not ohms, and does not name which of the two 6.35 headphone ports it covers.
Which files and cards does it play?
The page lists WAV (up to 24 Bit/ 192KHz), APE, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, DIFF, DSF and MP3, with DSD64 (1bit) direct play for DIFF and DSF files. It lists SD, SDHC and SDXC cards, with a maximum of 128GB SDXC.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The amp power line writes loads as "600 Europe" to "32 Europe" (for example "32 Europe: 2W") and does not say which of the two 6.35 ports it applies to; the attribute list uses "Ohm" and gives a recommended headphone maximum impedance of above 900 Ohm.
- SNR 120dB, dynamic range 118dB, separation 110dB and distortion 0.0007% are listed without test conditions, and the Sound Features paragraph describes the sound in words that are the page's own claims.
- The attribute list says "Built-in Battery: Yes" and "Channels: 3 (2.1)", while the technical parameters list an AC power input and one RCA and one XLR analog output.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
