SHANLING M7 Android Audio Player Review
An Android digital audio player with an ES9038Pro DAC, 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs and a spec section with figures at 32Ω, listed at $999 against a crossed-out $1,249. Aimed at buyers who want a Micro SD slot and listed output figures.

Our verdict
Suits buyers who want a $999 Android player with 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs, a Micro SD slot and a specification section. Skip it if the Android 10 the page lists is a problem for the apps you use, or if you want figures confirmed outside the store. Watch the output power: the page gives it two ways for each output.
- Best for
- Buyers who want listed output figures at 32Ω for both a 3.5mm and a 4.4mm output.
- Skip if
- You want a newer Android release than the Open Android 10 the page lists.
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a specification list with figures. Held back by the store's own terms, which contradict each other, and by every figure being the store's own, with no independent test checked for this review.
Listed at $999 with a crossed-out $1,249, the SHANLING M7 is an Android player built on the ES9038Pro DAC, which the page calls a 32-Bit 8-Channel chip. The page gives a 5-inch 1080P display, Open Android 10 on a Snapdragon 665 with 6GB RAM, and both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs. A specification section follows with output, noise and battery figures.

Options and pricing
A single Titanium option is listed at $999 and was marked orderable when read. The page shows a crossed-out price of $1,249 next to $999. The spec section lists 128GB ROM plus a single Micro SD card slot, a 7000mAh battery and 18W quick charging; the page text gives no box contents, cables or accessory options.
How it compares
The HiBy R6Pro Max has 8-Way I/V amplification in its spec line and is also $999, where the M7 page names an ADA4896x2+MUSE8920+OPA2211+BUF634 chain. The SHANLING ONIX Overture XM5 is $739 and lists PCM 32-Bit/768kHz and DSD512, the same rates the M7 lists. The SHANLING ONIX Waltz XM10 LTD is $849 with an AKM AK4499EX DAC and AK4191. The M7 suits buyers who want listed output figures at 32Ω; the other two cost less.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Spec section with output power, THD+N, noise and impedance figures for both outputs
- 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs, each with figures at 32Ω
- A single Micro SD card slot beside 128GB ROM, per the spec section
- Bluetooth 5.0 with LDAC, LHDC, aptX HD, aptX and SBC listed
- Weight (312g) and dimensions are given
Worth noting
- Output power is given two ways: 400mW or 406mW single-ended, 900mW or 920mW balanced
- The amplifier chip is written MUSE8920 in the feature list and MUSES8920 in the spec section
- The page text states no test conditions for the battery hours (up to 10 and 8.5) or the THD+N
- The page text lists Open Android 10 and says nothing about updates
Questions before you buy
How much power does the M7 list at each output?
The spec section gives 400mW at 32Ω single-ended and 900mW at 32Ω balanced. The gain tables give 406mW and 920mW at high gain into 32Ω, so the page states both.
Which Bluetooth codecs and wireless features does the page list?
Bluetooth 5.0, two-way, with LDAC, LHDC, aptX HD, aptX and SBC, plus 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi with DLNA and Airplay.
What storage and memory does it have?
RAM 6GB and ROM 128GB plus a single Micro SD card slot, per the spec section.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- Output power appears as 400mW and 406mW single-ended and as 900mW and 920mW balanced; the amplifier is written MUSE8920 in one place and MUSES8920 in another.
- The page text gives no test conditions for the THD+N of 0.0007%, the dynamic range and SNR figures, or the battery hours.
- Phrases such as 'True Hi-Res decoding' and 'clean and detailed sound presentation' are the page's own wording; no independent test was checked for this review.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
