Our verdict
Suits a large family or group that wants one shared suspended basecamp, has three trees 10m / 30ft to 14m / 45ft apart, and values being able to split the stack into three 2-person tents: it lists $2,090, 6 adults and a 1200lbs / 550kg capacity. Look elsewhere if you need a lighter carry or a permanent set-up. The main caveat is the tree spacing and diameter the page requires, plus a 3 months use note whose wording is unclear.
- Best for
- A large family or group that wants a shared suspended basecamp for 6 adults, or three 2-person tents in one.
- Skip if
- You lack three trees 10m / 30ft to 14m / 45ft apart, or you want a lighter carry than 69.4lbs / 31.5kg.
Why 3.7/5: Lifted by a full spec sheet listing capacity, weight, size, fabrics and hardware for the whole stack; held back by no independent test of this exact stack and by the need for suitable, well-spaced trees and practice to set up.
Large groups are the target of the Trilogy 6-Person Tree Tent, which links three Connect 2-Person Tree Tents with a central rainfly canopy and a central pole and disc. The spec sheet lists a 1200lbs / 550kg capacity, a 4-Season rating, a 69.4lbs / 31.5kg unit weight, a 198.3sqft / 17.9sqm floor and 12 doors, and the page says it sleeps up to 6 adults. It is priced at $2,090, with a crossed-out $2,613 beside it.

Options and pricing
One configuration at $2,090: the page lists 3 x Connect 2-Person Tree Tents, 1 x Central Rainfly Canopy and 1 x Central Pole and Disc in the box. The store shows a crossed-out higher price of $2,613; that is the store's own comparison, not a market price, and the page also claims a 20% saving versus buying separately. No color or size choices are shown and nothing showed as out of stock when read. The page adds that the stack can split into 3 individual Connect tents for two people each.
How it compares
The Trilogy lists $2,090 for up to 6 adults at 1200lbs / 550kg, 69.4lbs / 31.5kg and 198.3sqft / 17.9sqm. The Universe 5-Person Three-Element Tent lists From $2,399 at 880lbs / 400kg, 99.2lbs / 45kg and 102sqft / 9.5sqm. The Safari Stingray 3-Person Tree Tent (3.1) lists $1,159 at 33.1lbs / 15kg with 78sqft / 7.25sqm, and the Safari Connect 2-Person Tree Tent (3.1) lists $899 at 20.8lbs / 9.5kg with 52sqft / 5sqm.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Shipping is free on orders over $199 sent from the US (lower 48) and EU countries; for Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand the page says its rates are kept as low as it can and gives a rough guide of $10 for most accessories and $20 for heavier items inside the US mainland. Average delivery is 3 to 5 working days in the US and EU and 7 to 10 days for the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. PO Box addresses are refused. The page says no extra taxes or duties apply to purchases from the US, EU, Canada, Australia or the UK, optional cover from Route can be added at checkout, and free shipping covers the first delivery attempt only; stack and accessory parts can come from different warehouses and arrive in separate packages. Returns: unused, unopened products in their original packaging can go back within 30 days of receipt, and opened or tested products can too, with a restocking fee the page gives as $20 for an unopened box and $50 for a used product (another line on the same page says $30 for all non-warranty returns). You pay return shipping on opened products unless they are defective or were sent wrongly, pre-loved and clearance sales are final, Canadian returns go to a US return centre with duties paid, and EU returns that are not warranty cases go to the UK. Warranty: products bought on tentsile.com after January 2025 carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects when used as the manuals say; straps and ratchets are covered for 5 years and a rainfly is meant to be replaced about every 3 years. The exclusions include poles and pegs, wear and tear, UV degradation (fabric rated for 1,500 hours for black mesh, 2,500 hours for green fabric and 3,500 hours for Safari fabric), snow load over 1 inch, high winds and products bought from third parties. Orders from $35 to $2,000 can be split into four payments with Zip, ClearPay, PayPal or Afterpay.
Before you buy
Tentsile's page header says "Rated 4.5/5" with "1100+ reviews" and "120,000+ Happy Customers"; these are the store's own figures and were not checked. Independent coverage we could open is thin: a hands-on review of the Connect by TechGadgetsCanada (March 2024, about 8 set-ups and 4 to 5 nights) found a steep learning curve, workable trees at only about half of its stops and one cold night, and a Wilderness Times write-up of the Stingray summarises specs and owner feedback without showing any hands-on testing. Tentsile's own pages set limits that matter, for example a recommended set-up height of 1.2m / 4ft on its Trilogy page, a 1 inch snow-load limit in its warranty terms and an FAQ warning that tension loads can reach 15kN, so only healthy trees should be used. The store also warns about copycat sites, and its returns and warranty terms apply to purchases made on tentsile.com.
What we liked
- Sleeps up to 6 adults, per the page, with a 1200lbs / 550kg capacity and a 198.3sqft / 17.9sqm floor
- Built from 3 Connect 2-Person Tree Tents that the page says can be separated and used individually, two people each
- 12 doors in total, a 233sqft / 21.5sqm covered porch area and a central rainfly canopy are listed
- The spec sheet names a 70D polyester, PU coated rainfly (5,000HH), a 240D nylon/polyester composite floor, 9 x 35mm x 6m straps with 9 x 2.5-tonne rated ratchets and 7 x 8.5mm poles
- The store gives tree distances (10m / 30ft to 14m / 45ft) and a recommended set-up height of 1.2m / 4ft
Worth noting
- The page asks for trees 10m / 30ft to 14m / 45ft apart with a minimum tree diameter of 45cm / 18", which narrows the choice of site
- It weighs 69.4lbs / 31.5kg in three packed bundles of 22 x 13 x 9.85in / 56 x 33 x 25cm (x3), and the page places it with car camping and single-location basecamps
- The page says Tentsile products are not intended to be permanent structures, so it is meant for trips and basecamps rather than permanent set-ups
Questions before you buy

The page says it fits up to 6 adults, as three Connect 2-Person Tree Tents linked by a central canopy, and can be converted to sleep nine by adding any standard hammock under each Connect. The spec sheet lists a 1200lbs / 550kg capacity.
What tree spacing does it need?
The page gives a minimum distance between trees of 10m / 30ft, a maximum of 14m / 45ft, a minimum tree diameter of 45cm / 18" and a recommended set-up height of 1.2m / 4ft.

Can I return it if I change my mind?
The returns page gives 30 days from receipt for unused, unopened products in their original packaging, and opened or tested products can also go back within 30 days minus a restocking fee it gives as $20 for an unopened box and $50 for used items (another line says $30 for non-warranty returns). You pay return shipping on opened products unless they are defective or were sent wrongly. Pre-loved and clearance sales are final.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty page says products bought on tentsile.com after January 2025 carry a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects when used as the manuals say, with straps and ratchets covered for 5 years. It excludes poles and pegs, wear and tear, UV degradation, snow load over 1 inch and products bought from third parties. A rainfly should be replaced about every 3 years.
How long does delivery take?
The shipping page says average delivery is 3 to 5 working days in the US and EU and 7 to 10 days for the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with free shipping over $199 from the US (lower 48) and EU. Some stack and accessory parts can ship from different warehouses and arrive separately.
Can I pay in instalments?

What we couldn’t verify
- A note reads Not suitable for no longer than 3 months continual use at a time, a double negative, so the intended limit is unclear.
- The page names the parts as 3 x Connect 2-Person Tree Tents with no version mark, and says it saves 20% versus buying separately without itemizing any part prices.
- The page says the stack can be converted to sleep nine people by adding any standard hammock under each Connect, but gives no hammock model or separate capacity for that option.
- Independent testing of this exact product: none found; the outside coverage located covers the Connect (hands-on, 2024) and the Stingray (specs summary).
- "Rated 4.5/5, 1100+ reviews" and "120,000+ Happy Customers" are the store's own page-header claims, not checked.
- The returns page gives a $50 restocking fee for used products and a $30 fee for non-warranty returns in different places.
- The spec numbers come from the spec sheet image on the product page, read by hand on 20 October 2026.
