Our verdict

A fit for listeners who want a tube-and-transistor DAC and amp with Bluetooth V5.4 and a CS43131 chip at $279, used on a desk. Look elsewhere if you need the headphone sockets named, an output figure with a load, or a battery-powered unit. The tube-sound and MQA claims are the page's words, and every figure comes from the store's own page.

Why 3.5/5: Held back by the store's own terms contradicting each other and by every figure being the store's own, with no independent test checked for this review.

The DM01 is a robot-styled DAC and headphone amplifier that the page calls a desktop design, with a CS43131 chip and a 12AU7 tube stage ahead of a transistor buffer. The page claims up to 1500mW of output and lists 32Bit/384kHz PCM, native DSD256 and Bluetooth V5.4 with LE Audio. HiFiGO's page prices it at $279 in a single option, although the store's tags file it under portable DACs and amps.

Options and pricing

A single configuration is offered: DM-01, shown under the Color heading at $279 and orderable when the page was read. The page text shows no crossed-out price and no color choices. It gives a power supply of DC 12V/2A, but the page text does not say whether an adapter, cable or any other accessory comes with the unit, and names no headphone output sockets, so the plug type is unknown.

How it compares

The xDuoo LINK3 is $219, names two ES9039Q2M chips in its title and lists 32-bit/768kHz PCM and Native DSD512, against a CS43131 with 32Bit/384kHz and DSD256 on the DM01 at $279. The MUSE HiFi M5Ultra is $290 and is titled a Bluetooth portable DAC and amp, where the DM01 page says desktop. The Moondrop Moonriver 3 is $219.99 with CS43198 chips named in its title. The LINK3 suits buyers who want the higher listed sample rates; the DM01 suits those who want a 12AU7 tube stage.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • The page names a 12AU7 tube stage with a transistor buffer stage, a hybrid design
  • CS43131 chip with an XMOS XU316 USB processor; 32Bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 are listed
  • Bluetooth V5.4 with LE Audio; LDAC and AptX HD are named
  • The page names a 16 to 600Ω headphone range for the amplifier
  • Windows, Linux, MAC OS, iOS and Android are listed as supported systems

Worth noting

  • The page text names no headphone output sockets, so plug types are unknown
  • The page text names no load for the 1500mW output figure
  • The Bluetooth codec list differs between the feature list (AptX Adaptive) and the text (AptX Lossless)
  • Power is DC 12V/2A with no battery named in the page text, and the unit weighs 0.73Kg, so it reads as a desk unit
  • The page text gives no SNR, THD+N or other noise figures

Questions before you buy

Which DAC chip and file formats does the DM01 list?

The page lists a CS43131 chip with an XMOS XU316 16-core USB processor. It states 32Bit/384kHz PCM, native DSD256 and MQA with 8x unfolding.

Which Bluetooth version and codecs does it list?

Bluetooth V5.4 with LE Audio. The feature list names LDAC, AptX HD and AptX Adaptive, while the text names LDAC, AptX HD and AptX Lossless; the LED legend also mentions AAC, SBC, LC3 and AptX-LE.

What headphones does the page say it suits?

The page says the output suits headphones rated from 16 to 600Ω and claims up to 1500mW, without naming the load for that figure in its text.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • Output is given as up to 1.5W in the feature list and up to 1500mW in the text, with no load named, and the page text never names the headphone output sockets or gives SNR or THD+N.
  • The feature list names AptX Adaptive, the text names AptX Lossless, and the LED legend adds AAC, SBC, LC3 and AptX-LE; the page text gives no single codec table.
  • The store's tags file it under portable DACs and amps, but the text calls it a desktop design on DC 12V/2A with no battery listed. The rich, smooth tube sound and 8x MQA unfolding are the page's claims.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
