xDuoo DT01 Phone USB DAC Unit Review
A USB DAC unit that HiFiGO's title calls a turntable for a phone: it takes a phone's USB signal and lists USB, coaxial, optical and 3.5mm Aux outputs plus a 3.5mm headphone port, priced at $159. It suits phone listeners who want to feed a separate DAC or amplifier.

Our verdict
Aimed at people who play music from a phone and want USB, coaxial or optical digital outputs, an Aux pre-out with volume control and a headphone port in one unit. Look elsewhere if you need distortion, noise or impedance figures, a stated load for the 350mW claim, or a record player: the page text describes no vinyl playback despite the word turntable in the title.
- Best for
- Phone listeners who want USB, coaxial and optical outputs plus a headphone port from one unit.
- Skip if
- You need distortion, noise or impedance figures, or a record player.
Why 3.4/5: Held back by a page with no specification list as text, by the store's own terms contradicting each other and by no independent test being checked for this review; every figure is the store's own.
HiFiGO's title calls the xDuoo DT01 a HiFi turntable for a phone, but the page text describes a USB-connected DAC unit: a smartphone plugs in over USB and the signal goes to USB, coaxial, optical and 3.5mm Aux outputs, with a 3.5mm headphone port as well. The page names an ES9038Q2M chip and a multi-core XMOS processor, and the price is $159.

Options and pricing
A single option is listed at $159 and was orderable when the page was read. The store files it under Color, but the option is named DT01/DT-01, so the option list holds no color choice. No crossed-out price is shown. The page text has no box list; it says only that a USB cable connects the phone and does not name the connector at the phone end.
How it compares
The AUNE X8 XVIII is $246.75 and quotes 32-Bit/768kHz and native DSD512, above the 32-Bit/384kHz and DSD256 given here. The QULOOS QA390 MOD lists the same 32Bit/384KHz and DSD256 at $2,099. The TOPPING DX3pro+ is $199 and lists coax, USB, optical and Bluetooth inputs. At $159 the DT01 fits a phone-first setup; the DX3pro+ fits buyers with several sources.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- USB, coaxial and optical digital outputs plus a 3.5mm Aux pre-out and a 3.5mm headphone port, per the page
- ES9038Q2M chip and XMOS processor named, with PCM up to 32-Bit/384kHz and native DSD256
- Charging switch lets the phone charge while it plays music, per the page
- Volume control on the Aux output, which the page calls a pre-amp function
- Indicator light colors tied to the sample rate, per the page: cyan, purple and white for DSD
Worth noting
- No specification list as text: no THD, SNR, frequency response or impedance figure
- The 350mW headphone figure comes with no load or distortion level in the page text
- No dimensions, weight, power connector or phone compatibility list in the page text
- The title says turntable while the text describes a phone-fed DAC
- Figures such as 32-Bit/384kHz and 350mW are the store's own; no independent test was checked here
Questions before you buy
What outputs does the DT01 list?
USB, coaxial and optical digital outputs, a 3.5mm Aux output used as a line or pre-out with a volume control, and a 3.5mm headphone output. The page text does not describe the sockets used for the digital outputs.
What resolution does it support?
The page gives PCM up to 32-Bit/384kHz and native DSD256, handled by an ES9038Q2M DAC chip and a multi-core XMOS processor.
What do the indicator light colors mean?
Per the page, the light glows cyan for 44.1 to 48kHz, purple for 96kHz to 384kHz and white for DSD signals.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The page gives 'up to 350mW' in the features and '350mW of clean output' in the text for the headphone output, but the text names no load, impedance or distortion level.
- The page praises the ES9038Q2M's DNR, SNR and distortion performance and calls the chip widely acclaimed, with no figure or source in the text.
- The store title and the page text both say turntable, but the text describes only a phone-fed DAC with digital and analog outputs and mentions no record playback.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
