Our verdict

A fit for buyers who want a tube pre-amp stage in front of a CS43131 USB DAC, with three headphone jacks and RCA line output at $149. Look elsewhere if you need an output power figure with a load, since the page gives up to 1300mW without one. The main caveat is that the page text gives no specification list and no input list beyond USB.

Best for
Desktop users who want a tube pre-amp stage and a CS43131 USB DAC with 6.35mm, 4.4mm and 3.5mm headphone jacks.
Skip if
You need an output power figure with a stated load, because the page gives up to 1300mW without one.

Why 3.4/5: Limited by the lack of a specification list as text on the page, by contradictory terms across the store's own pages, and by the fact that no independent test was checked for this review: every figure is the store's own.

Pairing a CS43131 DAC with a pre-amp stage of two 6J1 tubes, the xDuoo MH-02 is a desktop USB DAC and headphone amplifier that HiFiGO lists at $149 in four plug options. The page lists 6.35mm, 4.4mm and 3.5mm headphone outputs, an RCA line output, two gain levels and 32-Bit/384kHz PCM with native DSD256. It quotes up to 1300mW without naming a load, so the power figure cannot be tied to an output or a headphone impedance.

Options and pricing

Four options are listed under a field labeled Color: MH-02-AU Plug, MH-02-EU Plug, MH-02-UK Plug and MH-02-US Plug. Each is $149 and each was orderable when the page was read. The names give only the plug region; the page text does not say what the plug belongs to, and it gives no in-the-box list or color choice.

How it compares

The xDuoo MT-02 Dual 6J1 Tube Headphone Amplifer is also $149 and its spec line gives dual 6J1 vacuum tubes, the same tube type the MH-02 page names for its pre-amp stage. The SMSL DS300 High-Performance MQA DAC & Headphone Amplifier is $188 and its spec line names the ES9039Q2M chip. The TOPPING L30 II NFCA Modules UHGF Technology Headphone Amplifier is $149 and its spec line reads Up to 3.5Wx2@16Ω, a figure given with a load, where the MH-02's 1300mW comes with none. Choose the MH-02 for a CS43131 USB DAC with a tube stage; look at the DS300 for a different DAC chip.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Dual 6J1 tubes in the pre-amp stage and a class A transistor buffer, per the page
  • Three headphone outputs (6.35mm, 4.4mm, 3.5mm) plus an RCA line output
  • Two gain levels listed: low +12dB and high +18dB
  • CS43131 DAC with 32-Bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 listed
  • Supported systems are named: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS and Android

Worth noting

  • The 1300mW figure comes with no load, output jack or distortion condition
  • No specification list as text, and the page text gives no dimensions or weight
  • The page text lists no input other than USB, and the PCM and DSD rates do not name the input
  • The four options are named only for plug region (AU, EU, UK, US), and the page text does not say what the plug is

Questions before you buy

Which headphone outputs and gain levels does the MH-02 list?

The page lists 6.35mm, 4.4mm and 3.5mm headphone output ports and two gain levels: low gain adds +12dB and high gain adds +18dB. It also lists an RCA line output.

What does the 1300mW figure refer to?

The page says up to 1300mW, and repeats it as a maximum output, without naming a load, an output jack or a distortion level, so the figure cannot be tied to a headphone impedance.

Which formats and systems does it list?

The page lists 32-Bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 on its CS43131 DAC, and names Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS and Android as supported systems. The page text does not name the input for those rates.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The page says up to 1300mW, repeated as a maximum, without naming a load, an output jack or a distortion level; the page text gives no data behind its wording about output quality.
  • The 32-Bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 rates are given without naming an input; the page's USB DAC wording is the only hint that the input is USB.
  • Sound descriptions of vocals, tone and presentation, and the claim that the tubes add a textured presentation, are the page's words, not measurements.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
