xDuoo MT-02 Tube Headphone Amp Review
A desktop tube hybrid headphone amplifier with two 6J1 tubes, 4.4mm and 6.35mm outputs and a listed 1500mW at 32Ω, priced at $149. It suits desk setups that want a tube stage and RCA pre-outs in one box.

Our verdict
A fit for desk listeners who want a tube-plus-transistor headphone amplifier with 4.4mm and 6.35mm outputs, 1500mW at 32Ω and RCA pre-outs at $149. Look elsewhere if you need a built-in DAC or a phono stage. The main caveat is that THD+N is given without conditions and the listing text stops partway through its build section; every figure is the store's own.

Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a 9-line specification list with output power at a load, size and weight. Held back by the store's own terms contradicting each other and because no independent test of this model was checked for this review.
Two 6J1 vacuum tubes sit in the pre-amp stage of the xDuoo MT-02, with a Class A transistor output stage behind them, in a desktop headphone amplifier listed at $149. The page lists 1500mW at 32Ω, 4.4mm and 6.35mm outputs, a DC 12V/2A power supply and a two-level gain switch of +12dB and +18dB. It also gives size and weight, 13.6x11.0x8.1cm and 0.61Kg.

Options and pricing
One option, MT-02, is listed at $149 and was orderable when the listing was read. The page names two headphone outputs on the unit, a 4.4mm balanced port and a 6.35mm single-ended port, so no plug choice is made at purchase. The specification list gives a DC 12V/2A power supply.
How it compares
The xDuoo MP-01/ MP01 Tube Phono Pre-AMP & Headphone Amplifier is also $149 and is named as a phono pre-amp with a headphone amplifier, so it suits turntables, while the MT-02 is a headphone amplifier with RCA pre-outs. The TOPPING L30 II NFCA Modules UHGF Technology Headphone Amplifier is $149 as well and has no tubes in its title. The FiiO K11 R2R High-Performance Desktop DAC / Headphone AMP at $169.99 adds a DAC; the MT-02's title names a headphone amplifier only.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- 1500mW is listed at a named 32Ω load
- Both a 4.4mm balanced and a 6.35mm single-ended output, plus rear RCA pre-outs
- A technical list: frequency response, THD+N, SNR, crosstalk, size and weight
- A two-level gain switch of +12dB and +18dB on the front panel
- A relay protection circuit with a 30-second startup delay, per the page
Worth noting
- THD+N is a limit (≤0.1%) with no frequency, level or load stated
- Tubes need to warm up: the page lists a 30-second startup delay
Questions before you buy
What outputs does the MT-02 have?
Two headphone outputs, a 4.4mm balanced port and a 6.35mm single-ended port, plus rear RCA pre-outs that the front volume knob controls, per the page.
What gain and output power does it list?
A front-panel gain switch of +12dB and +18dB and an output power of 1500mW at 32Ω. THD+N is listed as no more than 0.1% and SNR as 118dB, without stated test conditions.
What does it need to run?
The specification list gives a DC 12V/2A power supply. The page says the relay protection circuit adds a 30-second startup delay while the 6J1 tubes reach their operating temperature.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The listing text available for this review stops partway through its build section, so claims after that point were not read.
- THD+N (0.1% or less), SNR (118dB) and crosstalk (at least 73dB) are given with no frequency, level, load or weighting.
- Descriptions such as a smooth, warm sound and a natural, sweet midrange are the page's words, not measurements.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
