AFUL ICEBORNE USB DAC/Amp Review
A DAC/amp with two CS43198 chips in a 3D-printed resin body the page calls hand-crafted, listed at $144.99 against a crossed-out $149.99. The page gives up to 300mW per channel at 16Ω and noise-floor figures for both outputs. It suits buyers who want a resin build and per-port noise numbers.

Our verdict
A fit for buyers who want a resin-bodied dual-CS43198 USB DAC/amp with noise-floor figures per port and a stated 300mW at 16Ω, from $144.99. Look elsewhere if you need a figure at 32Ω, a weight or any outside measurement. The main caveat is that the heat, USB and sound claims are the page's own.
- Best for
- People who want a resin-bodied dual-CS43198 USB DAC/amp with noise figures given for each output.
- Skip if
- You want a 32Ω power figure, a weight or an independent measurement.
Why 3.4/5: Held back by the lack of a specification list as text, by store terms that contradict each other, and by every figure being the store's own, with no independent test checked for this review.
AFUL builds the ICEBORNE around two CS43198 DAC chips in a 3D-printed resin body the page calls hand-crafted, and the store lists it at $144.99 with a crossed-out $149.99. The page gives up to 300mW per channel at 16Ω, THD+N under 0.00037%, a noise floor of 1μV on the 3.5mm port and 1.5μV on the 4.4mm port, and a 6N single-crystal copper Type-C cable. The page text gives no weight or dimensions.

Options and pricing
Three options are listed, all orderable when the page was read: ICEBORNE Type C at $144.99, ICEBORNE with Leather Case at $157.98 and Leather Case Only at $12.49. The page shows crossed-out prices of $149.99, $162.98 and $12.99 beside them. The case alone is an accessory, so the review price is the Type C option. A 6N Type-C cable is described as included.
How it compares
The EarAcoustic Audio OSHUN DECO CS43198 Portable DAC & AMP is $145.90 and the TANCHJIM Space Pro Dual CS43198 Portable USB DAC/AMP is from $145.20, against $144.99 here, and both name CS43198 chips. The FiiO QX11 ES9069Q Portable DAC & Headphones AMP is $159.99 and its page line lists 32-Bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512, where the ICEBORNE lists native DSD256. The ICEBORNE suits buyers who want the resin body and a stated 300mW at 16Ω; the QX11 suits those who want DSD512 on the spec line.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Two CS43198 chips with 32-Bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD256 listed
- Noise floor given per port: 1μV on 3.5mm and 1.5μV on 4.4mm
- Power is stated with a load: up to 300mW per channel at 16Ω; THD+N under 0.00037%
- 3D-printed resin body, which the page calls hand-crafted; 6N Type-C cable described as included
- A leather case bundle is offered at $157.98
Worth noting
- The page text gives no weight or dimensions, no figure at 32Ω and no output voltage
- Power is given at 16Ω only, so it cannot be set directly beside pages that quote 32Ω
- Claims about heat, shock and lossless USB come with no figures in the page text
- The page claims the first all-resin portable DAC/AMP, and the page text gives no source for it

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

What we couldn’t verify
- The page says it is the first all-resin portable DAC/AMP and that the resin body avoids the heating and shock issues common to metal bodies; the page text gives no temperature or other figure.
- Power is quoted only at 16Ω (300mW per channel), THD+N only as 'less than 0.00037%' and the noise floor in μV, none with measurement conditions; the page text gives no SNR figure or weight.
- The lossless USB transmission, 'dual-core tuning' and sound claims such as a deeper soundstage are the page's words; the page text does not explain the title's 'Player-Class'.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
